LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Republican Mike Huckabee responded to an offstage noise during his speech to the National Rifle Association by suggesting it was Barack Obama diving to the floor because someone had aimed a gun at him.
Hearing a loud noise and interrupting his speech, Huckabee said: "That was Barack Obama. He just tripped off a chair. He's getting ready to speak and somebody aimed a gun at him and he — he dove for the floor."
There were only a few murmurs in the crowd after the remark.

Poor Mike Huckabee.
You know, Mike is a very funny guy and an inspirational speaker. It is my opinion that he could even have been seen as the Barack Obama of the Republican Party if he'd won the GOP nomination. Even though he's a Republican and I'm a Democrat I'd have preferred him over Hillary Clinton if she and he had both won the nomination... I just really like Mike Huckabee, and Chuck Norris had nothing to do with it!
Now... he got flack for the window-frame in his campeign add about Christmas, because the window frame gave the appearance of a Cross. Woopdydoo, it was Christmas time and he is a Christian. Me being Pagan - I didn't give a shit; because other faiths don't offend me. Mike Huckabee has provided many people with laughs and reassurances of faith... so I'm really sad to see that he made a joke on the fly to the NRA that misfired. In truth, it was made in bad taste... but you can tell it was a jest; and I feel that he should be forgiven and it shouldn't go anywhere.
I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts and opinions on this though:
Do you think it will be a big deal??? Do you hope it won't become a big deal???

Not to mention he is a bible thumpiung hypocritic, that doesn't pratice what he preaches and his latest comments on Obama is a prime example of that. | |

But to me what he said was moronic. Common sense goes a long way and he surely didn't have any when he made that statement, and this is was come from a former pastor. That was one of those WTF were you thinking moments.
I think he is. As former pastor he has a tendency to impose a lot of his religious beliefs into his gov policies. | |

Times ten considering who he was talking to. Think NRA. Guns. Shoot. Obama. Moronic doesn't begin to describe that one. A "mistake"?? No. mistake is when you put on a black sock and dark brown one in the dark. That's a mistake. If what Huck said wasn't a hostile Freudian slip, I'll eat my psyche 101 books.
