They've only seen or heard about the scarey porn that IS degrading and illegal in the US. Good healthy porn: fabulous. It is the illegal porn that isn't between consenting adults people should be against.
They may have only seen poorly done porn(the stuff on playgirl- blech!) so think the only guys watching porn are desperate losers.
Show a woman "Whore of the Rings" and she should mellow out a bit. If she doesn't laugh her @$$ off at the tree having an orgasm, she's just a b i tch.
After she's seen some of the funny porn, some of the healthy porn, some of your style of porn, whatever it is, if the girl still isn't ok with it she's just not looking at it objectively. I'm not big on porn, I have my limits of how much I can watch before I'm just listening to it while reading a book, but I see no reason to limit anyone's porn intake just because you don't agree with it. That's just psycho controling behavior.
She's not upset about you looking at prego porn, is she?

Some women see porn as threatening because they don't want to get naked in front of their men only to be looked at with disgust.
Some women have beliefs that state that porn is bad.
Some women are uncomfortable with sex in general.
Some women think porn will give their men ideas on what to do (things they don't want to do).
There's more, but I'm already zoning out. | |

This brings up another interesting point... your use of the word "compete."
I'm sure the vast majority of men who look at porn don't do so with the thought that the women in it are in any way "competing" with their partners. But I hear a lot of women talk on the issue with the idea that they are being compared somehow to the models/actresses. I know that I, for one, simply don't think in these terms. | |

Because some men become addicted to it and neglect and disrespect their wives or girlfriends because their too busy looking at some bimbo with fake boobs and jacking off.
Porn gives some men an unrealistic perception of how a real woman (being a wife or girlfriend) should look, which they in turn project onto their wives or girlfriends. Porn chicks are not real women. Their airbrushed, surgically enhanced individuals with no respect for themselves or their bodies yet some men believe that's how a real woman should look.
Note that I used the term "some men". Reason? Because not all men look at porn. Some actually respect their woman and refrain. | |

If we subtract those loser guys who would rather watch porn than have sex with their wives/girlfriend. And subtract those women that believe anything other than missionary is risque. We are still going to have women who are like I don't like it. Many 40 something women feel threatened by it because the girls bodies are younger and more taught, well except for their who ha. I don't know too many men, when you get past the whole male bravado sh*t would want anything to do with the girls in those movies. I would need to tie a board to my ass so I didn't fall in.
It is just that for many guys porn turns them on. I have been with a number of girls where we watched some decent porn (sound off), the experience was mind blowing.
And to hollymackeral cornholing some guy is kinda gay! Watching two adults have sex can add a little spice after 10 years of being together!
1missblueeyes I would be curious to see your response to this question after you have been with the same guy for 10 years. Hell you haven't even had sex for 10 years.

When I asked him what he meant he gave me the run down on how if I lost 20 pounds, got breast implants, and did something with my a*s (family genes dictate that we all have flat asses) that I would be perfect for him. That relationship didn't last too much longer.
It is degrading. But for the most part it is unrealistic. The girls are 'fake' (if you don't think they don't touch up those videos to some degree then you are delusional). And society dictates that a woman must look a certain way inorder to be 'beautiful'. Well, if God had used cookie cutters in the shape of Jena Jameson, then none of us would be self conscious.
I guess, I just find it disrespectful. Sure, I don't have a perfect body but if my man wants to see a naked female, all he has to do is ask. Why look at someone on the TV or computer when you can look at a female up close and personal?
