My Firefox browser keeps hanging at the sign in screen... Posted: 8/6/2008 9:46:15 AM
...then goes to the land of not responding. This is getting really annoying. Happens 50% of the time I get to the sign in screen (without even signing in). Anybody else having similar problems? Maybe that flash/video on the sign in page is causing havoc? Clearing cache/cookies has not fixed the problem.

Here is a site you will have to figure out the cause. I suggest you upgrade to firefox 3 it is much faster. Make sure to defrag your hard drive and do a scandisk also. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_hangs#Hang_loading_websites

Its either Ads such as those from Match.com, the Log in Registration Page in your Face or the newer Beta Google T5 Browser Bar.

For Ads »» Mike's Ad Blocking Hosts file and Firefox Ad Blocker Add-ons

For the Log in Registration Page »» Profiles: Can't View/Registration Page

For the Google T5 Beta Browser Bar, uninstall it, then run a Malware Program to get rid of all Ad and Spyware.
