Posted: 2/2/2011 9:22:12 AM | I think allowing for running in the background (for the new OS) would be largely beneficial, because at least then you wouldn't have to log in every single time you opened the app.
I'd love push notifications, but I've accepted this probably wouldn't happen due to bandwidth issues.
Swipe functionality on the images would be nice.
Being able to delete messages from your inbox by swiping the message as per podcasts / text messages would be good too.

when you go to the meet me section, and click maybe, it sees it as yes, put them in your yes column and sends them an email saying you'd like to meet them. | |

Posted: 4/3/2011 12:49:30 PM | Awesome. I really like the pof app. The thing I would like the most are more search options....like an advanced tab. On the "advanced" on here I include "atheist" as a filter, but I can't there. Also it doesn't show on their profile when searching.

Posted: 5/28/2011 11:04:06 AM | I updated to the latest upgrades yesterday. It's really nice. Love the gridded homepage. Really like how it now shows peoples religion too in their profile. Great job to whoever is on app duty over there.
The thing I'd love to be able to do is scroll through a users pictures by a swoosh of the finger. Right now you have to use the arrow and sometimes it takes two or three taps up therein the corner. | |

I'd like to know this as well...I keep my iphone in silent most of the time, but the constant vibrations are annoying at night - and embarrassing when someone is at my desk and my phone goes off and they see "plenty of fish" pop on on the screen  | |

Like the line of profiles at the bottom to scroll through too.
Honest, I think I like the overall look of the main page on the previous update better though, it just had a more finished professional look to it.

Posted: 9/3/2011 2:15:00 PM | That's probably not the iPhone app, …it's the site search, it defaults to further distances if there are no more suitable results. As well, postal codes in the UK aren't as accurate for search distances as Canadian Postal Codes and zip codes in the US.
It probably isn't the fault of the app. | |

Bear with me as I get used to the forums!
So- we've made some major improvements. Basically, we had some issues with search/location in the UK. That should be resolved now. If it isn't, get in touch with us at mobile@pof.com.
On iPhone, we only show the zip/postal code field if GPS is turned off.
If you'd like to input a post code, simply disable the GPS for the app.
Go to SETTINGS.
Click on GENERAL
Click "Location Settings".
For POF, switch to OFF.
