| ABUSE: How to Report a User for Forum, Profile, or Personal Abuse on POF

Type 2 Harassment via POF mail, Profile Violations, or Terms of Service/User Agreement violationsYou can report them using the "Report User" link at the bottom of their profile. Ensure you are logged into your email account or else the Report User link will not be available. If you still don't see the link, it means you don't have enough tenure on the site yet and you should then take one of the below avenues to report them. If you believe the abuse to be fairly serious and urgent you can in addition to the above, drop a note to the Forum Moderator account with either or both the URL and exact user name of all parties concerned, or contact one of your Site ModeratorsIf they have sent you a harassing email, block them, BLOCK INSTRUCTIONS HERENote: for less serious profile items, such as picture violations, please use the "Report User" link at the bottom of their profile or, if it is a main picture violation, use the button right below the main picture. FYI we DO NOT have access to profiles, meaning we cannot delete them.
However, and this is an important note -
A) Moderators DO NOT have access to removing profiles, nor access to them in any way shape or form, nor can we read private emails.
B) If this has anything to do with a matter outside the realm of POF, then it is considered a matter outside our jurisdiction, and consequently not a matter for us to adjudicate.
C) If you're going to file a report, ensure you are clean of any violations as well, because all parties are examined in any report. Also realize that there are over 4 million users and only one person has access to the account/profiles/emails, consequently, actions are not immediate - so be patient. Re-reporting one does not speed things up as your report will only register the one time.
D) Creating a thread to warn people of a user by name is also in violation of the posting rules seeing as that action would fall in the libel/slander category. We cannot, nor will, validate any such claims as to any relationships/meetings gone sour.
POF is not an adjudication board for any civil or criminal matters that happen beyond the confines of this website. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
Ensure this is not a frivolous report.

Thread Topics which are based on and/or involve as its Subject under discussion, any POF Members are no longer allowed.

Any threads/posts that are started with the intent to belittle, denigrate or disparage any POF users, either directly named, or through enough descriptive commentary that they could be possibly identified, are prohibited and will be instantly deleted.
Do not post emails exchanged between users - period. If they were meant to be public, they would have been.
Any threads/posts that are created to warn other users about other members of this site are considered in the libel/slander category, whether named or not and will also be instantly deleted as we cannot validate any such claims.
If you continually follow someone in the forums, posting in an insidious manner about past events gone sour, spreading gossip unfounded rumours, divulging any personal information etc. about the poster, you will be removed from the forums immediately - no recourse.
A Warning to all that this applies to - Keep the drama off the forums!
ADMINISTRATION OR MODERATOR PROTESTS ON THE FORUMS
Anyone that creates or participates in a Protest Thread, outlines any protest in their profile, posts any negative commentary with regards to moderation or administration, or discusses emails between moderators/adminsitration and themselves in their profiles/postings with respect to the Administration of this Site, instead of E-Mailing the Admin or one of the Moderators, will have their posting priviledges permanently revoked, banned forever, all Message Posts deleted, and every Trace and Symbol of that Poster from this Forum removed, depending on severity.

If you have valid concerns that you wish to make known with respect to Administration and Moderation of this site, or problems with another poster, the appropriate and only venue, is either in private email with either Admin, a particular Moderator, or the global Forum Moderator account (all found here --> Your Moderators), or if the concern is of a general nature that has nothing to do with Administration, Moderation or another poster, please post a thread, in a civil manner to the Plentyoffish Site/Suggestions/Help Forum.
