I know how to change it...obviously. That wasn't my question. I want to know if they have actual meanings/definitions. Or is it just a large random list of different types of marine life?

There are plenty that arnt fish. Like turtle. I just think it would be more fun if there was a funny list of "meanings" for all of them.

My guess is that it's done intentionally to promote emailing another member to perhaps explain why he/she thinks they're a "Blowfish", a "Hammerhead", a "Suckerfish", even a "Bottomdweller" .. etc. Perhaps it would prove more entertaining than some lame canned descriptions IMO ... I'm surprised "Sperm Whale", isn't a choice ....

Can someone plase tell the creator(s) of this site that Dolphins & Whales are Mammals & not fish. They are warm blooded & breath air. ps - Where is the Flying Fish???

I'm sure Admin thanks you for the enlightenment on Zoology and Taxonomy. however the intent is probably somewhat far from being used as a possible reference link for any high-school projects - not to worry, there are disclaimers in the Terms of Service with respect to posted material on the site. OK, I get it now. So I should be looking for a blowfish! A clam may do in a pinch

Be nice if there were some descriptions to atribute to this, even if they were just one-liners that didn't really mean anything. I get its not really meant to be a serious function but still, it could help with picking and also help to see why others chose theirs. Could be an extra fun pointer for finding out about how someone portrays themselves if they've chosen one that's like "Turtle: Steady and protective" or "Crab: *Pinch!" or something hehe.

I get its not really meant to be a serious function but still, it could help with picking and also help to see why others chose theirs. Yep! I think it would be nice to be able to choose your own "personality" to put some humour, naughtiness and location into it. Check out this website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fish_common_names Boney toungue, swallower, suckerfish, slimehead, horn shark..... Colorado squawfish, American sole, Australian lungfish.............. Forehead brooder, Pelican gulper, Shark sucker, etc etc. ........and Sperm whale?.......good one trapped.
