| Profile Image Captions
Posted: 1/13/2008 3:44:54 PM | I just noticed the "caption" entry for profile pics. I have already used it on mine, and it works. So far, you can't use bold type , but I like the idea of captions on our pics.
it's only viewable when you check your profile, not visible in forums.

Room for creativity and another way to entice those who only gaze at the pics.
A clever caption could reel the fishies in for a closer look at the profile.

It seems to work on Rodeo's primary pic, but not the others.
On Mandrake's (msg #1) both of his pics show a caption.

I tried adding captions to my hidden pics, to see if the captions would appear when the pics were attached to emails. But it appears they do not. | |

Since its not visible on Thumbnail Images, you would need to click on the User's Profile Link to the left of the Forum Messages. Its not a Forum Feature, but a Profile Feature, but accessible via the Forums ... ie. but 1 Click away.
The original Query above about actual Forum Display had completely evaded me. Who the H*ll would ask for it to be displayed under a Forum Thumbnail anyways? Never even dawned on me.
In this Way visible via the Forums, but not a Forum Feature, nor displayed under the Forum Thumbnail Images. There is no Room for that. The Caption is a Main Image/Mouse-over Feature.
I don't know if this can be fixed, but I noticed that apostrophes and quotation marks don't show up on the captions.

The Thumbnail Image won't expand into Main Image/Mouse-Over when Quotation Marks are entered.
So maybe not a bad Thing after all, a nice little Feature between hidden & publically posted Images, ie. Thumbnail is all you can see. |
