I don't buy it, It's never a simple one shoe fits all. Were all a little more complex then that at least at the psychosocial level.

I think there are alot of men who prefer to let their woman run the show. I'm attracted to powerfull women and I have a job in which I have alot of control. I've been a leader in emergency sevices for a number of years and when I'm home it's comfortable to go with the flow. Having said that I need to feel comfortable that my partner respects and loves me. There are limitations to everthing and without these limitations I would loose respect for myself. I believe it's a carefull balancing act, give and take. I know that I'm a helping sort and it's what makes me special so I'm carefull to not give it up to someone who isn't the kind and compassionate type.

Cold, lonely nights....and sleeping alone

Wow that's a tough one. Sometimes it doesn't bother me and I quickly fall asleep. When I can't sleep I move to the couch. I find if it is silent I have trouble falling asleep so I'll put on a movie I've seen before many times, I don,t watch just listen and soon I will be sleeping. Reading for a few minutes helps too. The worst thin to do is to lay there and feel lonely. By this I mean if you worry that it's going to be that way forever. Or thinking about serious stuff.
Good luck in finding a way out of this problem, we're all different and there are many good suggestions presented in this forum. I've enjoyed the topic and will have to try a few myself. God bless you with a good nights sleep.
