Support 1st U.S. Army Officer to Speak Out Against Iraq War

I have spent many, many years in the Middle East, in various countries and know from first hand experience that the people on both sides do not want interferrence from outsiders. They have warred for centuries and will continue to do so, it is their way of life. eg. Your grandfather a thousand times removed killed my relative, and so I must have revenge and so it goes..... it will never stop. I say the good folks/families who want peace and there are many, should leave their country and start fresh where there is more peace and quiet.
I had many friends of all denominations and remained neutral with all, listening and learning. I am considered by many to be a wise, dignified and classy lady in her 50's not 40's, lived there in my 20's and 30's and have kept in touch.
Good Luck to all.

You are so right. I agree completely. You can tell so much by their writing. Can they spell? What degree they are educated, if they have a one track mind....etc. Do they have a sense of humour? Are they complainers, egotistical, well-travelled, and so many other qualities or not.

I agree completely, 4 mos. is far too soon, especially when one has children. I am speaking from experience. The children may get very attached to the new 'step parent' then the couple go there separate ways and the children are left confused and heart-broken. Also, I would always worry about the character and past of having someone off of a dating site, moving in with me and mine. What if they are a child molester? Too chancy.
You live close to each other, continue to date, at least for a year and see how it goes after that.
In any case, I sure hope all goes well, now that you have already made the move. Just keep your eyes open.
