Is my profile too honest?
Posted: 6/15/2009 2:18:45 PM
thanks for the input. In the past I have expereiment with different profiles even different pics of "hot guys" that are not me and believe it or not they are just as shallow as guys! The response rate shot up. Its the real me now in photo. I am just intrigued about what people think if I put a profile up that obviously does not take things to seriously. Yes, I appreciate it needs work and refining. But I am curious as to what peoples reactions would be good bad or indifferent!
To me this is just a bit of a laugh really. The sex and porn thing point taken prob should take it out (was thinking of deleting it). When I sit down and think about it I will try to come up with something that will at least make people smile.

I know how this think works on profile pics etc etc first impressions. etc but I sat down one day and decided ah sure I might as wel be completely honest for the craic (fun of it).
By doing so do I come across as a bit of a nut case or sweet and endearing or what?

How many guys or gals would consider dating a physically disabled person?
Posted: 11/19/2008 8:26:26 AM
I find this hillarious because it kinda has would you sleep with a black man or woman undertones? Its the same line of thinking. Being mildy disabled myself at least i can laugh at the naive ignorance of it all.

Feck
The huge popularity in Britain of the sitcom, ahem, TV Comedy Father Ted - surrealist escapades of three Irish Catholic priests exiled to a remote island off the west coast of Ireland - brought several Irishisms into common use over the water, and one in particular *back* into common usage in Ireland: 'feck'. This word doesn'mean the same '****', but can be used as a more - for all intents and purposes - polite version.

Mothers would slip a 'feck' in front of the kids, I mean children, rather than use an expletive. 'Feck off!' doesn't mean '**** off', but rather, 'you're kidding me', or 'get outa here', or put in slightly more polite Irishness, 'get away outa that!'. Curiously enough, it has other uses, we used to go feckin' apples when I was a child, or at least when I was a younger child. No, we weren't desperate to passionately copulate with the neighbours' Cox's Orange Pippins, but instead we were liberating these fine fruits from their desperate bondage at the hands of a cruel orchard owner. A 'fecker', on the other hand, could be a slightly more slimy eel than a chancer. And then there's durty feckers, who are a dreadful shower altogether.

Feck1 /fek/ v., to steal (Compare with Early Modern English fek < 'fect, by apheresis from effect, to accomplish a desire). 'Don't turn your back on that or he'll have fecked something on you, make no mistake about that!' (BC, Meath). Joyce, Finnegans Wake, 425.23: "Gaoy Fecks."
Feck2 /fek/ int., euphanism for '****'. 'Feck off with yourself!' Leonard Out After Dark, 53: "a shrill, complaining creature who would tell her mammy if you said 'Jasus' or 'feck'"; McDonagh, The Cripple of Inishmaan, scene ii, 6: "Billy: A fecking eej, is it?"; scene ii, 11: "Helen: Are fecking coming, you fecker?"
Fecker /'fek&schwa;/ n., (Colloq.), term of abuse: perhaps a euphanism for '****er'. Roche, A Handful of Stars, I, i, 6: "Tony: Yeah, he's a queer smily fecker, ain't he?"

Any similar word for feck in other countries?

I'll check your profile for ya no bother man
Posted: 2/1/2006 7:05:13 PM
I will review it for ya miracle man I think she retired.... You know what the anal rententive among them are going to say that you mis-spelled match. But if it was me I would leave the mis-spelling in correct it and say the type "C" personality didnt react well there with the "A" pesonality thats why it turned into MACTH! Ha no seriously nobody really gives a dam about the odd spelling mistake makes you seem more genuine honest. Also anybody can use spell check it does that make them a "GENIOUS" (See above for details) You also dont put yourself on a pedestal. But I dont get all that A B personality thing makes me think of blood. Maybe In America each letter has a personality I dunno! Ah I am just teasing ya your profile is grand. Go against the status quo and leave the spelling mistake! Thats my 2cents

ladies my advice dont put up pic some men just think with thier knob. write a nice profile not to lond doh be different show whats different about you to others and away you go. Just let loose whatever you feel expresses you as a person and is not bland and samey like what u think SHOULD be put on your profile. Put down what YOU think have fun with it have a laugh dont take it TOO serious. As for the prob of mass emails ladies put a load of retrictions on who you would like to email you. personally more people contact me about the forums i suppose you get to know people by their manner and opinion on issues.

Ps kiss self-praise comes in many forms a misguided condescending superior attitude that indicates a deluded sense of importance. I notice all of your so-called reviews take this approach. Ill “conceived” responses (deliberate pun there by the way) then you back track and say “Oh I did not mean that”. Your reviews are merely a representation in your own mind of a stereotype that your lifestyle and upbringing as thought you SO FAR. Judging by your reviews you are almost certainly an oldest child/eldest child. In truth there is little imagination in your reviews all if not most are merely a representation of what somebody of your socio-demographic age and profile are limited to. Hopefully your reviews and attitudes will change with time and you will basically grow up. Maybe I am been a bit hard on you after all your only a baby and maybe it is unfair of me to mess with your head. It’s funny though

Ha god help u kiss you "genious" basically you have proven my point for me please refer to my previous posts. Your great at giving opinion but not taking HA I will let others be the judge all I will say to everybody else read all this thread makes for some funny reading. and after that form your own opinion on her. To paraphrase the previous post its "not bad for" an over opinionated self absorbed self deluded little girl. In fact its typical...In fact it has given me a good laugh unintentionally. And I am delighted my profile caused such a reaction.. it was expected anticipated and played for... The thing is you’re a lot like alannis morrissette ONLY because she wrote a song about Irony and clearly did not understand what it meant. Now that’s IRONY. Isn’t it ironic don’t u think? All I will say kiss you have confirmed my suspicions. You find out a lot about a person by what they say, what they do and what others say about them. Anyway you will grow up someday and maybe get a new scarf? Its great craic anyway and the funniest thing is you really struggled to respond to my last post and obviously failed to grasp a lot of it. I will let others decide….what to make of you themselves.

Just checking to see if anyone knows anything about Gaelic Athletic Assoc Sports GAA (CLG)Hurling and football. To all people who want to find out look up www.gaa.ie and www.hoganstand.ie and please note when i say football i dont mean soccer I mean Irish football. Also look up croke park , hurling . and if anybody wishes to see are top class games they are all played by amateurs who are not paid a cent. They have jobs like anyone else. Yet crowds of 82,000 fill croke park. Come on ye boys in blue come on ye boys in blue

when the ovens too hot get out of the kitchen? I mean even the "I" in "I Kissthegenious" smacks of a hidden self importance which in this case appears sadly misplaced. You may not be a real "GENIOUS" as u spell it or the brightest lamp on the street. But at least you know when retire and run before you make any more fool of yourself.Cheers for the giggles unintentional or otherwise....

No but if ya give it girl you have to take it for such a genius you spelt genius wrong! I will give u a mwah just because your so self opinionated. Just to clarify you spelt genius "GENIOUS" in your name! you really are an intellectual one arent you! . Just some constructive comments! Ah thats given me some laugh to be honest KISSTHEGENIOUS how do we spell genius boys and girls? and this is a girl who gives out about using "ma" instead of "my". Ha well in my country "ma" is slang for mother maybe you should ask yours how to spell genius? also ALL the people on this thread are surely entilted to reveiew other peoples profiles in a constructive manner? Or is this thread merely a charade and ego boost for KISSTHEGENIOUS HA HA
ALL are welcome to review my profile on this thread of ANYONE elses for that matter and i will take all opinions on board good bad or indifferent whether i agree with them or not. Its just fun but after reading such a schoolmistress type thread from a 19 year old self proclaimed "GENIOUS" who cant spell genius the hillarity of it all just had to be pointed out! Anyway a real "genius" would realise that self praise is no praise at all.

Prose V Poetry

The difference between poetry and Prose

Prose
There was a young man called Alex who went out to collect some Pollock’s one day in the sea the tide rose to be all the way up to his ankles

Poetry
If the tide raised a lot more it would be poetry.
(Explanation for the Americans among you because it would of went up to his bollocks)

To Kiss if i was to review kisses profile i would say try and be a bit more Succinct its a it long winded if the truth be told. I realise u are trying to have a laugh but I thought jokes were more about comic timing then an over opinionated monologue (kinda came across that way to anyway) Over here we would say u were a bit up yourself maybe its a cultural thing I dunno. I certainly would not put in "I am intelligent" joking or otherwise maybe its just me just sounds concieted to be honest. But since americans and candians etc put such store on employment etc i decided to bow to pressure and fill something in. Anyway generally u seem like a genuine sweet girl good profile but too longwinded and the scarf does nothing for me...
but thats just me talking....

by the way returning to belfast girl as an example cen choi? by the way. I just read her profile out of curiosty really. I nearly fell off my chair when i read she was 44! My god she must look after herself I thought.. C I logged my reactions when reading the profile just to see like. Then I thought would I have emaled her without the pic.Answer yes I would name belfast girl n using word "efficacious" drew me to the profile in the first place. Then the finally irony in relation to this thread was when i went to message her i was rejected I m not 28 till April! anything under 28 was rejected. So in summary angel after my expieriment go with no pic and use plenty of restrictions be fussy n u will be grand

jayus thats some word "efficacious" saying that with a belfast accent would be worth hearing! c words like that could get mail never mind the pic ms angel take note of belfast girl! anyways i read ur profile angel n it is a good one without even taking the pic into account. personally I think putting a pic up is only necessary for guys cause most women are not as hung up on looks as guys are. I also think that pretty women could put up a pic of themselves and not write a thing and they would get tons of mail. so basically if someone happens to be a pretty girl and cant type or spell dont worry!
