Anyone like "the Buddaheads"?....
Posted: 11/18/2009 11:24:11 AM
More like "BB Chung King and the Buddaheads" is the full name. I just got turned on to them recently. A great rock band with blues overtones. Its seems they got started in '94 but I only just heard them a few weeks ago for the first time.

Extra Terrestrial Life
Posted: 11/18/2009 11:20:04 AM
Some people like to believe that life on Earth got started by E.T. life. But there is no evidence of E.T. life. And even if there is, then where did that E.T. life come from? It had to evolve somewhere to from chemicals just like our planet has. I do believe there is E.T. life in the Universe, probably even within our own Milky Way galaxy too. But that doesn't E.T. life has ever been here.

What man or band is the Godfather of Heavy Metal? Let the debate begin!

Sabbath for certain, although you could make a case for Jimi Hendrix, too.

Don't forget about Led Zeppelin too.

Has God always existed?
Posted: 11/6/2009 11:46:44 AM
Not until Human Beings created him. Actually it originally was multiple Gods. But over 5K yrs ago the Jewish faith was born and it was the first faith to believe in a single God.

Michael Jackson died in 1984
Posted: 10/16/2009 9:51:14 AM
Another Conspiracy jerk! Frankly I can't stand Jacko and I sure don't miss him, but I doubt very much that he died in 1984 and has been replaced by doubles. he's with Elvis now, poor Elvis. I'm sure he rolled in his grave when his daughter married Jacko too.

District 9 – an original idea?
Posted: 10/14/2009 2:14:00 PM
I liked it but at first it reminded me of the movie "Alien Nation". But the only similarity was the alien space craft that was somehow stranded here on Earth. Completely different plot.

NASA will Bomb the Moon Tomorrow (Fri) at 7:30am
Posted: 10/9/2009 11:10:42 AM
I used to have a Meade telescope too. The 2080 LX3 Schmidt Cassegrain. Anyway, they're not actually bombing the Moon, just crashing a probe into it. I think the Chinese may have done that already too. Anyway, here's an article about it from Space.com

Well, I'm an Atheist. But I also wonder about this "God fearing" bit. I mean why should you have to be afraid of God? Unless your evil or something.

Clockwise or Counter-clockwise?
Posted: 7/27/2009 3:50:42 PM
It has nothing to do with which hemisphere you are in. It can flow either direction in either hemisphere. I depends on the drain and the dynamics of how the water was flowing. And if your exactly on the equator it still will spin one of the directions. Now the hemisphere does effect the direction hurricanes/cyclones spin. I'm pretty sure I saw an episode on Myth Busters about which direction water spins down a drain.

I've been listening to that show for years. I first discovered it in '98. Some of the guest crack me up they are such kooks. But I like to listed to them anyway. I'm a skeptic and don't believe in any of that paranormal stuff. And that pseudoscience is just a joke too. But I like that he covers both the science and the paranormal. Art Bell is my favorite host as he is the original host.

anybody have a job?
Posted: 7/13/2009 12:03:50 PM
I got laid off at the end of last March. I was working for Cessna Aircraft. They are laying off 50% of their employees. There are still more layoff to come there. And I'm still looking for work. That's my current job, looking for a job. The job market sucks. I'm a Manufacturing Engineer. All I can say about that is that its not a career. Its just job hopping and relocating to where the next job is. They ask you if you want to do contract work. That sucks worse. You get to live in a motel while you pay a mortgage on a house with all your stuff in it and don't get to live in it.

DR. Who
Posted: 7/3/2009 12:57:56 PM
I'm a fan of the original and the new series. I think my introduction to The Dr. was a movie I had seen on TV in the mid 60's. It starred Peter Cushing as The Dr. It was titled "Dr. Who and The Daleks". Then I started watching it on TV in the early 70's when and independent local station started it with Tom Baker as The Dr. with Sarah as his traveling companion. That was before PBS started running them in 80's.

Farrah Fawcett
Posted: 6/26/2009 12:56:25 PM

Its amazing, even a pedo pervert gets sympathy in the USA, if he has enough money, he admitted to sleeping with young boys, that was when my sympathy ended as far as he is concerned, not to mention he settled out of court spending millions, the world is a better place without him in it, i am sure he is in hell if there is such a place

I'm not sorry about that FREAK Jacko dying. I couldn't stand his pop music either. He gets no sympathy from me. Farrah is a better story and a more sad one too.

Really, people talk to you that way because you're black? I'm white and never talk to black people that way. In fact black people only speak to me in plain English too. I never had to put up with any ebonics from any black people. Unless they were making fun of ebonics themselves.

The Legend: Jimi Hendrix
Posted: 5/26/2009 7:55:59 AM

Yes it would have.
He'd probably be doing the same thing he always did. Write his own unique sounding and lyrical masterpieces and then take an old folky song and just shred it to pieces

They probably would have done a "Hendrix Unplugged" like they did with Clapton.

Hey Man! Hendrix was the greatest. he inspired Stevie Ray Vaughan and Kenny Wayne Sheppard. He was a real pioneer the way he used play with feedback and his skill/talent with the guitar just blew away other great guitarists of his time. I mean they were in awe of Hendrix too!

Anybody use it? I've been having troublw with Internet Explorer so I've been using Firefox for over a month now. It has some nice features but its really is no better than Internet Explorer like people seem to believe. I mean it locks up too. When it does I can't even get it's process to stop running with Task Manager. And many times I can't even restart thye computer when its locked up. I have to power it down from the power switch to shut it down and then restart it. Does anyone else ever have this trouble? I am running Windows Vista. Frankly I think XP was better.

Seems to be the only occupation with any job security where you can make lots of money.

Anyway, don't pay the ransom. just kill all the **stards. Shiver me timbers. Frankly the various Navy's of the world should hunt them down. The pirate mother ships are stolen vessels to begin with. They should take the ships back and return them to their rightful owners or sink them with all the pirates on board if they can't retrieve the ships.

sleep paralysis....
Posted: 4/18/2009 3:30:19 PM
I experienced sleep paralysis once. For some people they thinks they've been abducted by the Roswell grays when all they experienced was just sleep paralysis. But I remember the sensation. I was semi conscious. It feels like as though someone is in your room and you are frozen with fear. But of course there was no one in the room at all. It sure is creepy.

Last House on the Left - Movie

I remember seeing the original. It was around 1972. It was pretty scary back then as it was a new type of horror film, more like something that could actually happen in real life than those old supernatural horror films that preceded it.

Final episode of Battlestar Galactica
Posted: 3/23/2009 3:09:57 PM
I watched it. It was pretty good. BUT the only thing that didn't make sense was the very end. 150,000 years later how was it that Baltar and his #6 Cylon girlfriend were still around. Everyone was now mortal and no more resurrection ship for the Cylons.

I look forward to the new spin-off from the Cylon point of view. I'm sure the cast and crew do too since it will keep them working.

Frankly I like the sound track to the animated movie Heavy Metal from 1982. Its a great variety of rock songs. I really like:

Heavy Metal (Takin' A Ride) by Don Felder.
Heavy Metal - Sammy Hagar
Veteran Of The Psychic Wars - Blue Oyster Cult

But I like the whole sound track. I have both the movie and CD.

Designer Apparel. Turn on or Turn Off?
Posted: 1/3/2009 6:33:00 AM
If someone is wearing designer apparel it means nothing to me. They like name brands and are willing to pay more because it is a status symbol. Ans a lot of that stuff is so way over priced you have to be a fool to buy it. Especially if you are in H.S. of college. So I certainly don't look for it in a potential mate.
