When a bright light goes out

Although I would not consider myself religious. When a person passes away, I usualy tell the Close family/children of that person that God needed reinforcements to battle the Bad. So some of the best good people down here become angels up there.

What is your favorite hang out spot on Friday night?
Posted: 8/25/2009 3:12:48 PM
Any Local pub with a Great live band. (Not every Friday :)

DEFINETLY NOT Sess village LOL

Somewhere quiet and public (If it is a first date)

If there's no live band then it has to have a dance floor

Do you really get more replies when your picture is posted!
Posted: 8/2/2009 10:10:51 AM
YES you do get more mail if you post a photo.

I like it when a woman has a title on most of her photo's
AND although I hate it when they post pix with children in them, at least put in the Title if they are your Niece's and nephews and NOT YOUR 6 children.
Also- If every picture has you with booze in your hand your going to project the wrong image.

All woman are Beautiful to someone .
You need a pic to show that !

Lavalife.
Posted: 8/1/2009 6:21:31 PM
Both Lavalife and eharmony are absolutely horrible and should be avoided at all costs. !!!! I was on L-life for a while but they kept sending me emails saing ______ so and so wants to meet you ! then when I log in I see that the woman is from another country ! AND I Specificaly set my my mail settings to (within 100 miles)
Eharmony? Their ridiculously long "qustionaire" was so specific and so precise that You only end up with a few women in your area that -You are allowed to contact !and VIce versa ! Save Your money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

POF is SUPERIOR in all aspects.

Hey Jballaaa,

Yes I have been on this site for a while and I have made many new friends who have found love. Some on P O F and some outside of it. I am happy for them. Of course I wish I could find that Love or special someone but I am happy right now with all the Great people i have met on here. and I just laugh about my dates from he11.
I'd have to agree with the above post "Patience !" On here or away from the computer you'll find her (or she'll find You.)

Anyone here like raw foods?
Posted: 6/24/2009 4:36:11 PM
The original post question was "Anyone here like raw foods?" I would have to say YES. I have been incorporating a lot more raw foods into my meals all the time. I am a Vegetarian So of course NO raw meat. . Everyone has different tastes. If you do enjoy a raw food diet that's great or if you prefer a nice steak. That's fine. whatever makes you happy.

A touchy subject...who pays?
Posted: 5/19/2009 10:31:59 AM
I always pay the bill on the first date. If we're meeting for the standard coffee date I try to arrive a bit early so I can go buy our "drinks" and let her have a great seat if the place is crowded. I'd pay for the second and 3rd dates too. But if that happened to me a lot I would not be on here.

Great Forum Post - Crackedhalo !

Just ignore the negative whiner's who insult what you wrote.

Yes I am a nice guy and I wont change for anyone. Yes I hate it when I get no farther than "Just friends" or a woman I like ends up with some Loser a$$ hole that drinks to much and just gabs about sports (ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ)
Yes there are women out there who have ALWAYS been only interested in the nice guy. They never went through the un-original bad boy phase.

Posted: 10/31/2008 10:57:59 AM
^^^^^ I have also become a Vegetarian this year. I feel Great.

All my friends and family eat meat and that's fine with me I don't say anything negative about their diet and they have nothing negative to say about mine. when someone does say something rude or ignorant I just ignore them. The meals I cook are rich in taste, flavour, and colour. I consume more than enough protein, vitamin b12, omega 3's etc.
Whatever you chose to eat ...If you are happy then I am happy for you.

Worst Dates!
Posted: 9/28/2008 7:05:38 AM
Wow some Great bad-date stories so far. Here's one of mine ( not the worst one -that would take too long) LOL

I was dating a woman for abot 3 weeks. Everything was going really well so far. It was her birthday so I took her to a really fancy/expensive restaurant. At the end of the meal I excused myself to go to the restroom. When I returned to the table she was gone. I then heard her calling my name at the bottom of the spiral staircase that leads to the restaurant. As I walked down someone grabbed me and I hit him. turns out he was a police officer (ooops) She was in Hand cuffs and a female police officer was dumping the contents of her purse on the hood of a police car outside. It turns out that my Date had stolen a credit card from another guest and also a whole lot of silver ware from the tables ! One of the items chipped the hood of the cruiser really bad. It took me forever to convice them that I was not "partner's in crime" with her ! The police were questioning her about many other crimes. A few of them were from a cafe' where I had first met her.
Luckily a more senior officer told the rookie cop just to let me go and that he was wrong to just grab me like that without at least Identifying himself.
..Well anyhow I was not going to do the on-line dating thing again for a while.
So me and a few friends went to a dance the following week. There was a really attractive woman that was looking at me a lot .One of my friends told me she was walking towards me so they pretended to leave. I thought to myself "wow my luck is changing" The woman introduced herself and said "Hey aren't you that guy that got arrested in front of that restaurant downtown?"

Like I said that was NOT the worst date I have had...(still won't give up though ! :)

Random Tim Hortons Question....
Posted: 6/28/2008 12:50:01 PM
Yeah, I have ordered the chicken club and received the chicken salad. It happened once but I did Not complain because I like both sandwiches equally. :)
Plus + The woman behind the counter was a bit stressed with the whiner in front of me Beatchin about his bagel not being toasted enough ?

IN a perfect world there would be ONE line for Coffee/Tea / Donuts, muffins... (ready made).
and a SECOND line up for Sandwich combos.
Sometimes I just want a coffee.

What is your #1 Pet Peeve in Profiles
Posted: 6/27/2008 2:34:18 PM
This is a really Great site and hopefully one day I will meet HER.
I was on another dating site a while back, and my Pet peeve list would of been very long.
My only complaint on here is when a woman asks me 20 questions in her original (1st)message. I answer them fully/honestly.

Her reply back to ME is ONE WORD ! ? "cool" or I.C...etc.
Then they wonder why I don't keep in touch ?

Other than this... I luv this site (met a lot of Great friends)
In fact now my search is just for friends.

april showers bring may flowers.....
Posted: 4/12/2008 5:10:14 PM
I would have to say all the wildflowers growing along the edge of my parents driveway. (I'm a bachelor in an apartment even my plastic plants died ) :)

I bought them a shaker can full of butterfly garden wildflowers native to Ontario years ago and they grow like crazy at about this time. I enjoy helping my parents look after them.

They also have a huge amount of wild Trilliums growing out back. I remember picking some for a girl wayyyy back in grade school, I had to spend 4 years in jail...... Yeah a little bit harsh for a 7 year old, but the law is the law !

Posted: 4/8/2008 1:20:04 PM
From past experiences I would have to say that. My occupation has really hindered me in my quest to find my partner in life.
IE:
My crazy random Hours.
I may have to grow a scruffy beard or dress in really worn clothes for an audition. (In these cases there are NO first good impressions)
I may have to head out of the country for a day or two. (at the last minute)
I would change my schedule around for that elusive ms. Right
If she is out there.

He is a user.

If things were a bit different (if he met YOU first) And you were his GF would you be okay with him texting another woman all the time?

There are a lot of other people out there you can be friends with --without all the drama.

You'll meet some guy that will say "yes a lot of women are pretty but none are beautiful like my girlfriend. (YOU AKA Live for the day)

Colds going around!
Posted: 2/15/2008 1:14:45 PM
Twice a week or so I have a cup of Ginger tea. I sometimes ad it to a cup of green tea if I'm away from home. I have never had a cold ...or symptoms.

and NO I would NEVER get the flu shot. well If you like your toxic chemicals in needle form then by all means have fun !
There are hundreds of negative side effects that come included free of charge with the useless flu shot.
The ingredients in the flu shot this month?

* Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)
* Phenol, also known as carbolic acid (this is used as a disinfectant, dye)
* Formaldehyde, a known cancer-causing agent
* Aluminum, which is associated with Alzheimer's disease and seizures and also cancer producing in laboratory mice (it is used as an additive to promote antibody response)
* Thimerosal (used as a mercury disinfectant/preservative) can result in brain injury and autoimmune disease
* Neomycin and Streptomycin (used as antibiotics) have caused allergic reaction in some people.

Some vaccines are also grown and strained through animal or human tissue like monkey kidney tissue, chicken embryo, embryonic guinea pig cells, calf serum, and human diploid cells (the dissected organs of aborted human fetuses as in the case of rubella, hepatitis A, and chickenpox vaccines).

Yes the truth really does sting !

Posted: 2/14/2008 5:51:22 PM
I have been looking a long time NO there's nothing wrong with that.
NO it is NOT pathetic, and No there is NO avg time . ..
I do not go out every week on pof dates. Nor do I rely on POF to help me find someone special. There are many reasons why there is a good/bad connection made on the first date.
The month, day and year we joined has nothing to do with it.

Ever felt the urge?
Posted: 2/12/2008 9:49:47 AM
YES !
There is a grouchy old woman who lives up the street. She is always very mean to the local children and even chased one the other day who was just trying to deliver the paper.
Well ...more like "hobbled" she actually tried to hit her with a walking cane.

Anyhow, I have the urge to see her reaction if she were to look outside in the morning and see hundreds of lawn ornaments stuck in in her front yard.
50 pink flamingos, 100 garden gnomes, a dozen weird chrome globes, and of course the essential snow angel with the pronounced middle finger.
I'm gonna need some help of course :)
