I doubt Damon will get booed as long as he produces good numbers. Basically, I see it for a Yankees fan as dealing a blow to the Sox and what Yankee fan would Boo that. I think if anything they would want him to be an All Star and make the Sox look TERRIBLE for not re-signing him.

Wow, thought I would never see Damon as a Yank. Im Pissed. We now have glaring holes - CF, SS, a lefty 1B, Bull pen help, a back up OF. I loved the Beckett trade but we have done nothing since but let teams in our own division get stronger. We should have kept Renteria for atleast 1 more yr to fill the SS hole we now have. The Blue Jays who just picked up Troy Glaus to go along w/ AJ Burnett, BJ Ryan, Lyle Overbay and the Yankees who didnt need much pick up Damon, Farnsworth, Dotel, Villone, Myers. We better get CF Coco Crisp from Cleve. I hear we are looking at Jeremy Reed who I think is average at best. Were's THEO when you need him?

I think the Manny for Tejada trade would be a good trade but I would rather keep Manny. Tejada backed off the trade rumors anyhow. The Yankees are trying to sign Nomar to play 1B and as a Sox fan youve got to hate to see that. The Yanks offered Johnny Damon a strong 4yr deal and are also trying to sign any other ex-Red Sox players they possibly can. Damon says he wont even consider anything under 5yr. On the other hand, the Red Sox were talking w/ the Mariners about trading Clement for CF Jeremy Reed. To be honest, if we lose Manny and Damon, I think it will hurt our chances w/ the Yanks and the BJays coming strong next yr. Did anyone hear about the rumor Clemens returning to the Sox!

I think the Red Sox might be interested in SS Alex Gonzalez but there is also talk of Miguel Tejada wanting to play in Boston. I doubt that will happen. 3B Andy Marte is going to be a great ball player. I think he is in the top 5 rated minor leaguers and has power w/ defensive skill. I heard they might try to use him in the OF this yr to get him some at bats.

Sean Casey a Pirate

Sean Casey is a good bat for average, not so much for power. I think he is also older, around 34, and the Reds were probably trying to unload the contract and get a lesser contract in return. I like Casey and I think hes got a few good yrs left in the tank.

Actually, Varitek caught Wake a few times and I think he did a pretty good job. Wakefield is a knuckleballer, thats why his pitches are slow. He did really good last season (16W) so you cant really get on him, better than the great trades for Brown, Pavano, and Jaret Wright, cmon. I like the trade for 2B Mark Loretta. He was injured last season, but the season prior he hit .335 w/ 16 hr 47 doubles 108 runs. I think he will fit in and also he has 1yr on his contract so that will allow Pedroia to move in next season.

Hey Garofolo, did you hear the rumored trade of Manny going to the Angels. I thought that would be a crazy lineup w/ Vlad in front of him at the 3. I hear the deal may not go through though.

Haaa, Grady Little. He gets rode on Soo Much for the Pedro incident, hell never live that up especially if he fails w/ the Dodgers. I heard a trade of Renteria going to the Braves, Braves trade 3B Andy Marte to DRays, DRays trade SS Julio Lugo to the Sox. I think Renteria's 30 error season drove his stock down but I didnt think to Lugo level. I think theSox are trying to shed his $30 mill payroll. Also, I heard the 3 way deal between the Sox, Angels, DBacks, fell through. Now they are talking to the Rangers to see if they will give up Soriano and Hammerin Hank Balalock for Manny.

Yeah NHGuy, Renteria to the Atlanta Braves, the Braves would send 3B Andy Marte to the Devil Rays, and the D-Rays send the Sox Julio Lugo. I think I read that the Sox are trying to shed of his $30 mill left on his contract and also to have more $ to sign Damon. They gave up quick on him. Also, there trying to trade Doug Mirabelli straight up for the Padres 2B Mark Loretta. I think the 3 Way w/ Manny fell through. I read Manny might go to Texas for Alsfonso Soriano and 3B Hank Blalock, Lowell would move to 1B. They are shopping Clement everywhere. Wells also might go to the A's. We definitley need to pick up some bats and some bullpen.

DIfference between Hot or Cute.
Posted: 12/6/2005 9:53:47 AM
I think that Hot is someone who you are sexually and in every way attracted to and Cute is someone who you see as a good looking person that you would date but your not totally attracted in every way to because she is lacking in something. Theres lots of Cute but your always looking for Hot. Its like when someone asks you if you like so and so and you say yeah, shes cute. But someone who you are totally attracted to you would be like damn she's HOT!

I think Byrd did really well last season and is a solid 4 or 5 rotation guy. Byrd and the Cleveland Indians reached a deal 2 yrs $14.25 mill with a option for a 3rd. So I guess Byrd will be flocking to Cleveland.......................

Your Home Team(s)
Posted: 12/6/2005 9:14:44 AM
I think it all depends on the person really. I think the majority of people support thier home teams because they grow up around the traditions and watching the local teams its just natural to like them. Also depends on how much of a fan you are like if the person likes the team because they just flat out win all the time, or do you follow a team beacause you know the history, players, and like them even when they lose. I know people who switch teams every other yr to a winner just to have the satisfaction that their team wins all the time.

Rumored trade is a 3way between the Red Sox, Diamondbacks, and the Angels. The Red Sox trade Manny Ramirez to the Angels, the Angels trade prospects (C. Kotchman) to the D-backs and the D-Backs trade 3B Troy Gluas and SP Javier Vazquez to the Sox. The Sox then trade 3B Mike Lowell to the Twins for RP JC Romero and a prospect. Also something about trading Arroyo or Clement to the Phillies for Abreu or Jason Michaels. Im loving the SP lineup of Schilling/Beckett/Vazquez/Wakefield/Papelbon plus Glaus gives us the Sox the Added Pop behind Ortiz.

Other possible trades - 3 way between the Red Sox, Diamondbacks and the Angels. Red Sox trade Manny to the Angels, the Angels trade a package of prospects to the Diamondbacks (Kotchan), and the Diamondbacks trade SP Javier Vazquez and 3B Troy Glaus to the Sox. The Sox will in turn trade 3B Mike Lowell to the Minnesota Twins for RP JC Romero and a prospect. Sounds good to me. Also, Arroyo or Clement and Trot Nixon to the Phillies for either Bobby Abreu or Jason Michaels if Damon doesnt resign.

Manny to the Phillies trade shot down, Phillies want a Starting Pitcher. Why were they even talking thenif they didnt want Mannys contract? The Sox will talk w/ the Dodgers, Diamondbacks, and the Angels in the coming week. I think Manny might end up having to stay because of his huge contract. Juan Pierre might end up in pinstripes, O boy I would hate that. Juan Pierre is my fav CF. The Phillies acquired Tom Gordon because he did a phenominal job at the Set Up role to Mariano Rivera. I think Tom Gordon might be the closer for the Phillies next season and do well since Wagner went to the Mets, I just dont think he will for 3 years though.

Pick your starting 5 (and sixth man) (NBA)
Posted: 12/1/2005 9:12:54 PM
C. Tim Duncan - The Big Basic, youve gotta love his all around play.
PF. Amare Stoudamire - Has to be one of the most exciting/versitle big men ever.
SF. Shawn Marion - The Matrix, he doesnt get plays run for him but gets baskets anyway. Great rebounder for a 6ft 9 SF and is electric on the break.
SG. Rip Hamilton - I like his outside game, coming off picks. Also can slash.
PG. Steve Nash - I really like the play making ability, the outside/inside game. Decent Speed.
6th Man - Manu Ginobilli - Old School player. Very good All around player. Shoots the 3. Passes. Slashes to the hoop.
Wow, I named 3 Suns players. I think when Amare comes back the Suns will be a great team. They picked up Raja Bell, Boris Diaw and Eddie House who are all doing really good so far and they all compliment eachother. Cleveland Also built a really nasty team picking up Larry Hughes, Donyell Marshall and Damon Jones.

Thornton Traded...Surprised
Posted: 12/1/2005 8:30:49 PM
I think this was an idiotic trade. The Bruins could have gotten a lot more than some piece together parts that wont help. I think that Thornton was asking to be dealt because alot of people felt that he wasnt living up to expectations in Boston. Its the Bruins fault for losing, they didnt pick up really anybody in the offseason while other teams were, So they just blame Thornton.

Will Bobby Cox have to start over again?

I really like theway that Bobby Cox and the Braves do things. They dont go out and make the huge trades, he has a great minor league system and makes stars out of them. I really like Jeff Francouer and I think that he is going to be great. When he first came into the league, he maintained a crazy Batting Average for a while. David Eckstien , MA native.

The Phillies interested in Manny for Bobby Abreu, contracts really dont match up and numbers dont either. Probably more players added in, I would want more power. Johnny Damon is crazy for asking for a 7 yr deal, thats insane at his age. I think the Sox will offer 4 at the most. Damon has been getting pretty beat up over the yrs, I think he has more value to Boston than he does for alot of other teams. Yankees wont even talk unless its a 3 yr deal. Im confident Damon will end up a Red Sox. Kyle Farnsworth signed w/ the Yankees. Thome is said to be "in the best shape hes ever been", we'll see. Healthy he is a big bat. Although the Marlins are giving up payroll, they are still recieving top notch prospects.

The Phillies are very interested in Manny Ramirez and are willing to trade Bobby Abreu for him. There will likely be more players that the Phillies will have to include since the contracts are so far apart. I like Bobby Abreu but he really doesnt have much power, he does hit for good averages though. Hopefully we can get a few more young pitchers in the mix from the Phils like Gavin Floyd. I hear that the Mets are really interested too. We also traded a player to be named and cash to the Cubs for minor league P Jermaine Van Buren. Van Buren was the Cubs Minor League POY at AAA Iowa. 1.98 ERA and 25 sv, sounds like a pretty good pitcher. I wouldnt mind seeing Wake on oppening day. Yeah, the Thornton trade kind of sounds a little lop sided to me. I think he was asking for a trade but I think we could have gotten alot more.

I like Jacque Jones but he doesnt provide the batting average (.249) or power (23hr) I think the Sox are looking for. If we do rid of Manny(45hr) and we dont resign Damon (which I think we will), a Manny trade looks like the case, I think we will need a 35HR type of hitter or a .310 avg type. I like Jacque's athletic ability and he is Gold Glove caliber for sure. Many Twins players through the yrs have said that Jones is an adjustment or two from being a 30Hr type guy, maybe.
Batting order:
1) Johnny Damon - if he resigns/ if not need a .310 type like Juan Pierre w/ good OBP.
2) Edgar Renteria - Hopefully hits over .300 with some steals.
3) David Ortiz - 40-45 HR's 130-145 RBI
4) No Manny - Need a Power guy at 4 to back Ortiz that is 35 0r 40Hr's.
5) Jason Varitek - 20-25 Hr's .290's avg.
6) Mike Lowell - 20-25 Hr's, solid D-fense .280's avg.
7) Trot Nixon - 20-25 Hr's if healthy.
8) Maybe Youkilis - I think he could hit around 12-15 Hr's
9) Dustin Pedroia - Rookie might not hit for power but AVG.

I think that the Mets have made some nice trades acquiring Carlos Delgado and Billy Wagner. Plus Carlos Beltran is going to come strong this year, with David Wright at 3rd and Jose Reyes. I think they are looking at some catchers to replace Piazza in Ramon Hernandez or I think Molina. Konerko Will most likely resign w/ Chicago and w/ the acquisition of Thome it gives them more power from DH if healthy. Furcal might end up as a Cub, not sure. Brian Giles got offered $55 mill from the Blue Jays who also signed BJ Ryan. AJ Burnett and Kevin Millwood are 2 of the best FA starters right now. Barry Zito is available for a power hitting prospect and the Mets may be interested in trading Lastings Milledge. And what is the talk about moving A-rod or Jeter to CF?

I would get a new DR. first of all. If it is something serious they could be liable, you could get injured or have problems later. What is considered to be an AVERAGE WEIGHT????
Posted: 11/27/2005 10:03:13 PM
Average Weight, I think does vary from person to person. I think average is someone w/ a little extra weight on them but they are at a healthy weight for their size. Definitley not a bad thing, everyone is different and considers themselves to be somethings that others would and wouldnt.

What is considered to be an AVERAGE WEIGHT????
Posted: 11/27/2005 9:31:47 PM
I think Average Weight would be a little heavier then what your weight is supposed to be for your height or what the average weight for americans at that height is. What that weight is, Im really not sure and Im guessing alot of us dont know either so it leaves room for a WIDE variety of sizes. Maybe Average Weight is the new word for Chubby, Chunky, Hefty, Big Boned, Slightly Obese, Morbidly Obese or even A COUPLE THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OVER WEIGHT! Well, maybe not the last one. Im not sure. ?

Tyson was nasty when he was younger. He would come at you like a bull and not stop. His trainer died and he lost track of focus from the $. When he lost to Buster Douglas in I think Japan, you could tell he was Finished. He didnt have that crazy look like he had when he first started. I think Tyson was so dumb and crazy that guys were actually afraid to fight him. Don King saw the $$ and slid in the pic, at the end Tyson ended up bankrupt. gosh I wonder Why? That Celebrity Boxing show is so bad u have to watch. I saw 7ft 7in Manute Bol vs. 380 pound "Refrigerator" Perry, It was Horrible.

I think Lowell will fit in very well, reminds me of a Varitek type, and contribute around 25 hr's or more. He was a Gold Glover last yr also and is solid at 3rd. He said he got in a slump and couldnt get out last season and is excited to be in Boston. Past seasons he's hit 32 hrs and 27hrs w/ a nice .290's avg before slump and was an All Star both seasons. Beckett has to log in 200 innings next season also. Sox said they want a power guy at 1B and most likley arent going to pick up Olerud's contract. I really like Kevin Youkilis and would like to see him start somewhere, maybe 1B. I think Renteria will bounce back also. Wonder what Damon is going to do?

No, they released Tony Graffanino. I think he played very well for us, only mistake was the booted ball in the playoffs. The Sox are going to give 2B to high praised minor leaguer Dustin Pedroia. They think he could be ready to jump to the big leagues, hope so. Yeah, I heard the Clement trade too for Overbay which I think might be a pretty good deal. The Sox are also inquiring on Texas Rangers minor league 1B Adrian Gonzalez who looks pretty good himself.

I heard something about Paul Konerko also and he would definitley be the type of 4 spot guy I would look for to replace Manny. Also, something about getting Dave Roberts back from SD. We recieved another player in the Beckett, Lowell deal. Guillermo Mota who is a pretty good relief pitcher, I think he got like 40 something saves w/ the Dodgers 2 seasons ago but Ithink he struggled w/ the Marlins. We had to give up another prospect though in Minor Leaguer P Harvey Garcia. Overall, the Marlins are dumping payroll any way they can, good deal for us.

Getting robbed ... what would you do in that situation?
Posted: 11/24/2005 9:10:27 PM
I used to live in a place with one of the highest crime rates in the country, Springfield Ma. My father got robbed and shot in the spine when we lived there and its such a bad place to live. I dont like even going there anymore because its such a shithole. Lots of minorities and just a bunch of drugs and really worthless types of people. I dont really know what I would do because I have never been robbed and dont plan on it.

How would you find a missing person..................
Posted: 11/24/2005 8:43:46 PM
I know how you feel. It really sux because my sister went missing a few months back and if the person is of age, the police really can do nothing about the situation which is very scary. Leaves you pondering all of the scenarios that "could have happend" which again sux. My sister had a really tough time w/ drugs and was in a bad area and my family never really could know for sure what the situation was. The police finally helped when they had spotted her and told her to come home and got her in contact w/us. It ended up turning out well for us and I hope the same for ur situation.

Why I Did Not Post A Picture
Posted: 11/24/2005 8:23:41 PM
The fact is that ur first perception of someone is sight. Not shallow at all, but u are really first attracted to someone by image then if u like the image u persue getting to know the person. By U not Having a pic. people will not even think about talking to you because they just dont hav that image. I wont talk to just any women, there are always visual standards people have. I dont hav a scanner at the moment and I am an attractive person, but just saying that doesnt cut it because everyone has there own views on the word attractive. Laws of Attraction.

I dont find golf at all fun and I dont play. But if you have played as I have it is a sport. Think about what skill it takes people like Tiger Woods to do what he does and win MILLIONS of $ on tournaments. Eye hand quardination, range, and some skill with shots. Not a lot of athletisicm but lots of skill brains. You cant go out there and just do what these guys have done for yrs of practice.

I think your right NHGuy, lots of if's right now. Schilling is up there in age and alot of people are saying that he's done. I think he will come through next season w/ atleast 17W w/ a decent 3.ERA. Beckett has to be on his game also w/ 18 or so which I think is feasable. Manny hurts alot and the bad thing is really think about who is out there that people will give up for Manny. Not half the production. He was major insurence on a walk on Ortiz and if we dont have that next yr Ortiz is gonna get a hell of alot of walks. Bill Mueller was my fav. and was underrated, best defensive 3B in 05 and should hav got a Gold Glove. Damon's arm is pretty weak for CF, I would love to see Pierre in CF. O Man I cant count the # of times Edgar just pissed me off early in the season. No D-Fence and hardly the O from a #2 hitter. 4yrs $40 mill too much.

MVP
Posted: 11/24/2005 7:34:13 PM
I think that as far as "Most Valuable" , it was hands down Big Papi. But there will always be a bias against a DH just for the fact that a DH does one thing and thats hit. A-Rod is a gold golve caliber 3B and hit just as good as Ortiz did this yr. But for me, the term means again who was the "Most Valuable Player" to there team. Just because Ortiz didnt play the field, and Hell I wouldnt want him to either, he and his bat were the most valuable thing to the team winning games and therefore he should have been the MVP.

T.O. & The Eagles
Posted: 11/24/2005 7:20:45 PM
T.O. deserves everything he gets since he brought it on himself since day 1. He's arrogant to the point were he wont talk to his teammates and is a dissruption to any team he plays on. He is a disgrace to a pro league like the NFL and I think that his agent is to blame for alot of this. It was funny when a reporter asked his agent "so what have you done for TO for the past two yrs except get him kicked off of two teams" and his answer was "No Comment" Come on. TO isnt going to get another deal like he got w/ the Eagles.

Hey, how do you guys think the Sox are gonna do in 06' and do you like the trades so far. Theo's gone which I didnt like but what can ya do. Newest trade is sending our prized minor leaguers SS Hanley Ramirez, P Anibal Sanchez, and P Jesus Delgado to the Forida Marlins for, yes,25yrold SP Josh Beckett and 3B Mike Lowell who gets $19 mill 2yrs. I think thats a good trade just because of Beckett. I dont know about Lowell who batted .238 with 8hr and 58rbi. Were trading P David Wells prob. to the Padres. Manny's gone, were I dont know. Maybe LA or Seattle. Will Damon sign? If not get Juan Pierre. Our starting rotation will be Schilling, Beckett, Clement, Wakefield, Arroyo for now. Papelbon should be in there soon. So many possiblities, I dont know what do you guys think? Hard to say as of yet.

I didnt like the fact that he sternly denied that he gambled until his book came out. He used it to get more sales, but hes paid his due. Steroids is by far a much worse issue the n what Pete did, really think about it. Hell, if guys like Ty Cobb who was a self admitted racist and supposedly killed a man can get in, I think he should be. Pure Hustle and a little talent.

UFC and the Ultimate Fighter series are great. These guys are athletes no doubt like any other athlete. I like Matt Hughes, St.Pierre, Franklin, Forrest Griffin, Sanchez, Couture and Liddell, Carl Perisian. The various fighting styles are crazy.

Are men turned off by women who enjoy Hockey and Football as much as they do?

I like women that are into sports like I am and Ive found that I am more attracted to women who play/watch sports. You have that much more in common. I am a very athletic, Sports orientated person so I think its a plus when a women can watch the Red Sox game with me and also know what the hell she's talking about after. Thats Hott.

Raptors....

The Raptors arent going anywhere fast. If they were smart they would build around Chris Bosh and Charlie Vilanueva. They definitely need more pieces to the puzzle to be a contending team. Rose is getting older, I kinda sorta like Mike James and I think Mo-Pete could do alot more then he does. How about my fav. team the Celtics losing to the 0-9 Hawks, grrrr.
