Glad to see my post sparked so much interest. My thoughts about online dating haven't changed though. For the most part, my experiences on here haven't been good. I certainly wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. I only come on here now to read my mail, if I have any that is. Maybe some people find someone on here they can have a relationship with, but I don't think it's for me. Anyway, good luck to all of you and happy

Hi there everyone. I'm a 55 yr old woman, recently separated, living in the Halifax area. Looking for a gentleman I can be a friend to and hopefully develop a realtionship with. I haven't had much success with this online dating so far. The men I have met online mostly seem to be interested in only sex. Although I am a very sensual woman and still love sex, that's not all I'm looking for. Makes me wonder if I should just forget about online dating altogether. I don't mean to sound like a whinner, but this truly is a very frustrating experience for me.

What I find so frustrating is the fact that I see lots of men have viewed my profile, yet, they don't contact me. I can't understand why that is. I think I am an attractive and interesting woman. Could it be my age? I'm 55 yrs old. Also, I have been added as a favourite to someone's list, I emailed them, they emailed me back, then I emailed them again, then I never heard from them again. What's up with that? I am getting very frustrated with this online dating thing. It seems that the men that do contact me are only interested in erotic chat or sex. God, aren't they're any decent men out there are they all looking for a Barbie doll?

Thank you for your comments and advice. I would just like to say I think you are a very attractive and intelligent lady. I don't understand why you aren't getting more men contacting you. However, like you said....who can figure men.

Hi. I wonder if someone could be so kind as to review my profile and give me some advice. I don't seem to be getting much interest. I think I'm attractive, intelligent and fun, so how come the men aren't beating down my door? I do smoke, which I know is a turn off for some people, however, I didn't want to be dishonest by saying I didn't just so I could attract more people. It seems there's a lot of men who view my profile, they just don't message me. So, if you have any constructive critcism you could share with me, I would appreciate it.
