For some parents and school teachers, and some doctors as well, giving children drugs for so called ADD or ADHD is so defiantly a cop out and they do it to ignore underlying problems with the children, or not wanting to deal with children who are just acting out for being bored or any other reason. Thats why it is also called the babysitting drug. Why figure out whats wrong with your kid, just drug them up. When that happens it actually makes it harder for parents who have children who need the medication to actually get it. For my youngest daughter I waited and worked with my pediatrician and teachers at her elementary school to figure out what to do with her. I stopped letting her eat sugar, got her tested for allergies and I tried just talking with her to help her focus. After 2 years( she is now in grade 2) she is on time released medication. It has so much helped with her attention span and has helped her control her impulses( shes diagnosed with border line ADD/ADHD, inattention and impulsiveness with no attention span, but no hyperactivity) She is better in school and her grades has improved as well. For all parent who do have teachers tell you that you child is ADD or ADHD, get allergy tests first, a lot of times it is allergies that make them act that way.For my brother he was diagnosed with ADD as a child, but in the end he was actually allergic to red dye #12 and biswick, go figure. How do you get your kids to eat their veggies? Any good recipes they like? Posted: 2/6/2007 12:27:33 PM
My kids eat most vegetables, the one veg, or fungus, i have the most trouble with is mushrooms, my kids HATE mushrooms, and i cant figure out why, i love and they dont taste like anything to me. Any ideas?? Oh and ketchup is the cure all for everything!

I don't mind porn in and of itself, mostly i like watching every once in a while, but tastefull porn, like on Playboy(c), but lately I am more into Hentai, now thats where the action is. Have to love cartoon sex :P

Well, i guess I'm a trekker, I like the show, and I have read some of the books, after the show was done, and gotten into some of the other ones that were not shows to begin with(did the same for Star Wars). But even tho I have done that, I'm not a die hard fan. Sad that they canceled, but not depressively tho,( they could of done better that doing Enterprise) I am a geek, and proud of it :)

Yes I would date a man who was kinda like someone on a tv show.. but then I am a geek... And I have realized that normal people are very shallow. I have also come to realise that if I am to date someone, they have to bee a geek or a dork or a nerd. Mostly because they have more of a personality and that they realize that there is more to life than just looks and beauty. I am really tired on just being judged on my looks or on lack there of(depending on who the person is) that I want someone who is more attracted to my mind insted of wehat I look like. Geek world rocks! Norms beware!

A house lived in , in Transcona had a resident ghost of a old lady that died there in the 1920's... She was an old ghost, benign, and she only annoyed my brother cause she moved things around in his room, found out thats the room she died in, and my mom and I actually did a test cause she liked to turn on the tv alot and change the channels, so one day we unpluged the tv and it turned on still and changed the channel to Oprah.. yup..lol..no kidding.. it was way freaky!!!

I can relate to where the wild things are.. kinda grew up around stonewall, and where my parents still live there is a pack of cyotes living in the quarry not a mile from thier house.. and whe those things get hungry they have come up close to my parents house...scarry.. And for the mama bear,,if you have babies and they cry, a mother bear will come looking fro the sound.. cause a human babies cry is similer to a cry of a cub...so never take young children camping

I have three kids and my oldest whos now officially 9, HATES vegatables.. so i mix them in with mashpotatoes or rice... and i also mince them really small so they cant be seen.. and also for potatoes I mix in sweet potatoes and carrots...my kids still think its regular.. what they dont know wont hurt them..lol For punishement in our house is time outs in the room.. and I also take out all of the games and such so all they can do is look at the celing for half an hour.. its not fun and they hate getting in trouble cause of thier boring rooms. Besides I have freinds who have teenagers.. and from their input ... I still have a loooong way to go...LMAO!!!

I think there is someone out there for everyone...although it might seem like there is no hope on the horizon.... I wouldn't say that I am less than perfect, although I haven't had one email on this site, I'm not going to let myself get down about it. I havew witness a UFO (an alien one) with my ex-sister-in-law.. we were standing in her kitchen talking one whinter night when we saw a strange light above some houses not to far away...we watched the light and all of a sudden it started moving in strange formations that no plane or helicopter would have been able to duplicate.. and since it was slightly over cast that night I would hardly doubt that it was cause by an atmosheric anomoly...

Not all single mothers who are on welfare..or social assistance are abusing the system.. some are on there to get help because they are actually trying make a better life for thier children an d need some extra support while they are doing it... and as for $48.00.. that worker should be fired.... single parents with 2 children should be getting at least over $200.00 :)

I am a divorsed mom of three and my ex husband was very abusive, not only to me, but also my children. My son, whos the oldest is now 9 and he has been asking about his father. We have not been in contact with him for about 4 years now ( it was my ex's choise not to.. he never botherd showed up for the custordy hearing). I want to know that since my oldest is now asking.. should I try to find his father and let my son visit him???

I have also sufferd at the hands of an abuser. I started daiting him right out of high school.. and everything was wonderful in the begining, then he talked me out of going to university. then I got pregnant.. then everything really started changing.. name calling, shoves..it stedaly got worse. after my son was born then the s**t really hit the fan... later on i got pregnant 2 more times with my girls. Not only did he abuse my in front of the kids.. he also hit them as well when he wanted me to hurt more. he tryed killing me, and finally the last straw was when I read a book about an abused woman called "Whispers".. That book helped me.. its been 4 years since i left and other than issues ..lol...i havent been happier... Happy you are out of the situation

Raising a baby on ones own is a hard thing to do, but not as bad as some people make it out to be. Make sure you have a support group.. i.e, family , freinds, doctor.. and other than the hormones acting up you sould be ok. I found out I was preggers when I was 19.. and I was able to pull it off, natural birth and all....good luckl!!

and the penalty for sexual child abuse should be castration thats it plain and simple no nuts no sex ever again Unfortunatly that even castration wouldent work for someone who is a pedofile/child abuser...its all about power and control...they would unfortunatly still find away to do horrible things to children....
