Are men that cook better for a relationship?
Posted: 10/5/2009 2:07:35 PM
Cooking and baking is a good thing, but to do the cleanup when finished is even better while you are relaxing. No accolades needed.

Older fit men shunning older fit women and chasing 25 year olds??? What's with that?
Posted: 10/5/2009 1:52:19 PM
The only reason a 50 year old guy should think about chasing a 20 year old girl is to get his wallet and car keys back.

Why Are Over 45 Men In Love With Motorcycles?
Posted: 10/3/2009 11:30:13 AM
Definitely NOT male menopause, or more commonly named....."Midlife Crisis". It's merely something a person likes to do. Some people sit around watching soap operas, while some of us prefer some freedom, fresh air, and sightseeing. And what's wrong with riding a motorized vehicle that gets over 50 mpg and being proud of what you ride? Would the same question arise if there were farmers standing near or sitting on their tractores and/or combines? "Why are over 45 male farmers in love with their tractors?" Sheesh!

....i do......but he doesnt
Posted: 10/3/2009 10:52:45 AM
Sensible for him, but it actually appears to be nonsense and a simple matter of convenience for him. After you're done helping him with those house payments, then what? He won't need you as much then. Stick to what you want and need, not what he desires.

Is it a compliment to be contacted by a younger man?

Hey OP! You should try trolling in the over 25 category. You younguns think you're so smooth. Dang, I wish I had the internet in my 20's! I wouldn't have had to cruise the hallways at the retirement manors!

*Throws a bucket of cold sea water on Lori*

Now listen up mate!..."Ahhh..Peanut!" Don't all you salty wenches come running, but Johnny Depp's eyebrows look exactly like mine!

And if you watch many of his movies, there are a number of comedic subtleties and expressions that are hilarious. He must have picked that up from me. "Who's boons, your boons?" HAHA!

Your comment about the low hangers that slapped around reminds me of a country song by John Anderson...."Swingin". Look it up, listen, and laugh!

Woodstock!
Posted: 9/8/2009 7:53:11 AM
I remember Woodstock very well. I grew up in Woodstock, MN, just a hop and a skip from the ballpark. Although I was too young to go to the actual Woodstock, a small one occurred less than a block from our house. My younger brother and I watched all the festivities from the roof of our house. My Woodstock, population of about 250, was transformed into a city between 2,000-3,000 for a week. It was a blast even though I was too young to attend.

Why Are Over 45 Men In Love With Motorcycles?

It's definitely not a male display due to the fact that there are many women who own and ride. It's an expression of what we love to do, that's all. Placing your photo of your bike is an easy way of saying "If you like to ride, contact me". PS- (I have a pair of tassled loafers and I'm not an attorney nor do I want to be)

Why don't men and women -- by and large -- like male-pattern baldness?

homemade pizza

I use my bread machine to make the dough and leave it sit overnight in the fridge.

Chicken Alfredo pizza is a good one.....Alfedo sauce instead of pizza sauce, boiled and diced chicken breast, thinly sliced tomatoes, mozzerella cheese, then to the oven.

So what do you do with sauerkraut?
Posted: 6/1/2009 4:12:03 AM
Sauerkraut Pizza with either brat pieces, canadian bacon, pineapple, or ham. Don't forget to throw the cheese on top of the kraut though.

Reuben Dip

1 cup drained sauerkraut
8 oz cream cheese
16 oz shredded swiss cheese
6-8 oz diced corned beef
2 tbsp thousand island dressing

Drain & rinse kraut, blend all together, heat until cheeses are melted (stir occasionally to blend together)

Serve warm with crackers or****ail rye bread.

I made copies of this recipe and have them on hand because people always ask for it.

Taking girls on bike rides as first dates?
Posted: 5/31/2009 4:47:20 AM
I knew you rode a crotchrocket! Get the thing out of your profile because if you can't afford insurance, then you shouldn't be baiting the ladies with it. Very NOT cool, dude!

To bodybuilder and others with no insurance:
Have you ever checked out insurance? Not expensive. No reason not to have it if you care for your passengers. Go ahead, splurge a little on your dates, buy em' a little security.

Long Distance Relationships Do they work?
Posted: 5/18/2009 11:48:13 AM
Gotta agree on this because I just got out of a long distance relationship where I was the one making all the sacrifices. Within the last 3 months she became very rude by calling her friends when I arrived, while I sat by myself getting ignored. I decided that I wasn't going to put any more effort into it and get ignored or discounted. I have more than successfully moved on, even without a pic in my profile, and I'm all the better for it. If the relationship turns out to be one-sided........Run Forrest, Run!

Nice guys finish last is a sad truth...
Posted: 5/17/2009 9:20:07 AM
I recently got out of a long term relationship, one that I was the pursued. It then entered into a push-pull type of thing where she would push me away, then reel me back in. I finally figured it out that she's just a 45 year old teenager who loves to play the flirt game while I'm in her company. I also realized that she not only put me on her back burner, but also behind her stove. However, she wants to ride on the bike with me and do all the plans we had this summer. Well, she's simply SOL because I'm having nothing to do with it, and she can kiss my #ss. I've moved on in the past week, which is unbelievable for me because I am a cautious and shy person. I realize now that I should have ran for the exit months ago when her attitude and mean-spirited remarks were emerging, but my persistance and hope kept me in it. Right now though, I should thank her for opening my eyes and teaching me a great lesson, but I won't. My thanks to her will be when she figures out that I've moved on. Oh yeah, I know she'll call, but I will refuse to give her any satifaction or excuse, because I've done nothing wrong. I have now realized that my confidence is back and gushing. So everyone, take at least a little bit of advice, when odd things are happening, get to that exit door and use it. There's a song that I listen to and believe in, "Speed" by Montgomery Gentry. For those who have been crushed at some time in your lives, listen to it. Just know that you are not the only one out there and that it may not be the last time. So get that radar up and scanning, it sure helps.
