I checked the Userplane web site and they still offer an ad based version of the software free. There seems to be some misinformation spreading around. Can someone tell me which is true and which is false?

Hi all, Looks like a smaller group. I hope conditions are ok after all the rain. I will check later in the week to see. I don't know if you all know, but POF has rules about promoting events in the forum of other ones. I don't know the repurcussions, but heard that events can get cancelled by POF if it happens. I will look into it. If there is an issue I will have to delete any reference to other events. Mark

Too many people talk about what they would like to do and wait for someone else to do it for them. I arranged a ski event at Martock without giving it much thought. The second one is already promising to be a big success this coming Saturday. I guess they were right in Field of Dreams when Shoeless Joe Jackson said, "If you build it, they will come", lol. It has been asked why we can't get the discount. I will try to elaborate a bit. The regular rate is $45.95 for a full day pass with equipment rental included. Still not a bad price. Part day rates are less. Martock rules make it impossible to get the discount. 1. Groups have to be pre-booked weeks in advance as they only allow limited numbers on any given day. 2. All members of the group need to either pre-pay the host or all show up at once because the tickets must be bought at once, not through the day. 3. I don't know if POF rules allow for hosts to collect money on behalf of members at an event. In the future, once we get a feel for numbers attending, it may be possible to schedule a month or more ahead and pre-pay or schedule everyone to show up at 9-10 AM, but not yet. The logistics just don't work for such a casual and not yet predictable group. Sorry for the misunderstanding. As we all know, promotions often sound great before you get all the details, and they don't post this on their web site. Thanks, Mark

I vote Kokomos. They are doing a complete remodel of the place, so it will be cool to check it out as a group. Also, it is in close proximity to a huge population base in Clayton Park, Bedford and the West End with good public transit access. We have a small group confirmed. Bring along some friends and it will still be a great time. I will be there regardless, and we can arrange to do it again in 2 weeks with more notice. Once I have the required 20 people (I have 8 now), I will be able to send out a general notice. Ski Martock is having a POF party, only they don't know it yet!! This coming Saturday Open to all interested people and guests. This coming Saturday there will be a POF Ski Day and Evening. Martock opens at 9:00 am. This will be an all day event but will run until closing at 10:00pm. Come for the day or come for a few hours. Don't ski? Martock offers a fun relaxed atmosphere in the lodge for people to hang out and chat enjoy a drink, eat or have a break. The canteen has lots of snacks as does Beavertails, or bring your own. Martock offers a group rate of $35 which includes full day lift ticket, rental and lessons or, $25 for lift ticket alone. Minimum of 20 people are needed to qualify, so please sign up now so that arrangements can be made in advance for lessons on the hill. NOTE: If fewer people go, the rate for Daily Combo Lift Ticket & Rental rate increases to $45.95 without lessons. so sign up now. When we reach 20, I will call for the booking details and lesson times and post them before Friday, so check back regularly. Hosted by markskis. I know, it's shallow, but my first thought is to view pictures. Reading the profiles, I see so many people wanting the same thing or describing themselves in the same way. Reality and expectations seem a bit disconnected. People often don't know what they really want or need. How many times do people end up with someone completely different from what they describe in their profile as a match? Do people really think someone will send them an e-mail and they will find their soulmate? This is a dating site, first contact only. You have to actually go out on a date to have fun and really know someone. Enjoy human contact and, if you are lucky, share a laugh. Get out. Go skiing, for walks, bike rides, say hi to the person in front of you in the checkout line, joke, laugh, talk face to face and don't get hung up on hiding behind a computer monitor. Oh, and just because someone is waiting for the divorce papers to be processed doesn't mean they are not single, lol. Oops, I ranted a little, hehehe.

I noticed that some members enjoy skiing. Martock is open. The temperature is dropping and they are making snow. Arrangements can be made in advance for lessons on the hill through Martock or more experienced skiers can offer to help teach the beginners. Martock offers a fun relaxed atmosphere in the lodge for people to hang out and chat or eat if you want a break or decide not to ski. I am posting this to gauge interest in organizing a Martock event or just a casual gathering of people on an agreed date. If you are interested in this idea, leave a post. Thanks

There appears to be a presumption toward the mother having primary custody. Every situation is unique. Perhaps a starting point should be to base the custody decision assuming all things being equal such as living conditions, parenting roles, availability and income. In a perfect scenario, each would pay equally toward the support of their children. The children would spend half their time at each home and all would be good in the world. Now, to throw a monkey wrench in, what if she has custody 60% of the time and he- 40% . The homes are a short distance apart and both are good parents. Here is the catch: She earns roughly double what he earns. How, then, should child support be calculated?
