text'ing has been around for years and now since the phone companies recognize the addict they'll add plenty more of it in years to come.. remember when the cell phone was an actual cell phone? i now question a persons' mentality now... if they text you a question which extends into conversations.. which the same conversation could be discussed over the phone shows some lack of trained thought.. seriously if you dont want to chat over the phone cause your exhausted or busy or what ever else.. you still have that much time to type it all out on a small keyboard instead.... see this is the problem it's meant for communication yes.. but also it breaks down communication big time.. all i can say is folks have some issue's and text-heads needs to chill.. you've started a war and now the anti-text movement has begun.. so ladies.. and gents.. keep it up.. i dare you to text while driving or in a school zone.. hit my car plzzzz... see what happens.. keep on text'ing and teaching kids how to sex-text and forward pics of yourself across the globe.. one day you will be sorry you decided to type.. instead of talk.. its now been several months since i dated that text head.. and still to this day she does not understand what went wrong and she wonders how come now no other guy she tries to "talk/text" with has no time for her anymore.. instead of email or a phone call. i simply text'd her the reason ... "Because you text too damn much!"

thats because there's so many females running around with such high standards and "ticks on a list" no man on the face of this earth can ever match up. 1) set realistic expectations of a man.. seriously 2) Bad guys hide behind the good guy image.. its been the #1 play in the book for decades.. learn about it.. accept the truth.. 3) to that guy who said i was speaking for all men.. bite me! i was speaking for the lil boys that play the head games to real ladies out there.. the real ladies need to step up and recognize when they've been played. I speak for the dogs out there.. now what! :)

Kristina, if we spend that amount of time waiting, then once that night comes it wasnt as "expected" a dude would run away faster than a space shuttle launch. why wait ladies? its 2009 and yes you must be sure. but sometimes when a man gets his hopes up for the "pie" and has to wait all thru your moon-risings and tibal shifts then finds out its really lame... what do you expect?... sometimes waiting is the killer of a what could of been.. its a risk/gamble everyone makes.. he's probally mad as hell at you cause all of the money, time, effort being a good boy didnt pay off as good as he expected.. hey it happens. Many bad lovers who think they know what they're doing/coaxd us men into believing them during this waiting period.. AKA.. teasing. not that a 90-day rule is bad or anything.. but when it comes down to it.. when you finally give up the "pie" it better be better than he expected..otherwise.. he's back at the stripper club seeking a soulmate all over again.

then why on earth did you BUY a phone? let me try to understand this... you bought a cell phone .. so you can text? because you hate making phone calls..... ( shakes heads) sorry ladies ... this makes no sense what so ever.. you are taking cell phones to a whole new meaning....you're actually buying them for instant messaging instead of placing a call..rofl...lol... so now whats gonna come down the line due to text addiction Text Caller ID( ID's all texts before you receive it?) Annoymous Text Block ( block unwanted text) 3-way texting ( hey instead of talk now you can conference text) i never was against technology and all.. but i see a problem here... and some of you ladies need to slow it down abit..

yea the text addiction madness spreads.. be on look out guys/girls.. notice on several Texan profiles running around you see some pretty cute ladies mentioning all they want is a nice guy, romantic soul, peace-keeper, and SOME-ONE THAT WILL TEXT THEM LIL MSG's just to say they are thinking of them! LOOK OUT THIS IS A TEXT-HEAD ( kin to crackhead) beware its a plot...!!! lol

and this here mentioned is what sooooooooo many fail to see.. i mean when you finally make an observation looking around see'ing how many are now doing it then you see... and everyone is on this " i must look busy/important" mentality failing to realize how much they are now addicted to there phone.. i briefly dated a female who actually used her phone to "twitter" on myspace ... yes myspace not twitter.com itself.. i kept telling her.. look ya know you text me way way too often chill out on the texting.. she would then text me once again and again and again... finally i let her stay over for a weekend... even while i was in another room i could hear her just punching away on her cell phone and all she was doing was gossip'ing with another female friend but still it got alittle irritating... later afterwards.. i brought it up during dinner asking her.. "hey why do you text so much? i mean you're not an IT exec like i am, you dont have any important bussiness meetings, no kids, why in hell do you text so much to someone you could simply call? she had no answer, no reason,, just replied back " i dont know, i just do" ... i ended the date ( yea 1st time i actually broke up with someone due to text addiction).. when i logged onto myspace i went to her comments page just curious to see how often she was "twitting" ... it was shocking to see a persons compulsive disorder in full swing.. and she was in denial about it.. her comments via mobile phone updated not by the hour.. but by the minute.. 11:00- i went out.. 11:05- i made it to my car 11:10- Im starting my car...lol 11:20=- im driving down the street ( YES SHE WAS TEXT'ing & DRIVING AT THE SAME TIME YIKES!!) 11:25- almost to my dates office to pick him up 11:30- wow dallasknight looks great in his suit today 11:35- dallasknight asked me to stop texting myspace while i drive 11:40- i stop texting my myspace comments page.. now im gonna text my best friend to ask her how do i send text's internationally to find out what the weather is like in tokyo... and i am not exaggerating here.. this girl has it baaaaaad on texting... soo many cell phone keypads are now dying because of the addiction.. many nokia's have fallen ill, many razors have drowned in text blast emails, please what ever you do.. if you know someone with this problem.. ask them to seek help.. INTERVENE if need be.. this can kill so many relationships and keypad buttons...

Its ok when a female has alot of friends that are guys.. its not ok when alot of friends that are guys she's slept with Women break the meaning of "friend" since we now have "Friends with benefit" relationships.. this is the grey line and probally reason why us... Men may feel insecure... im not trying to be with a "ho" who's been around the block a few 100 times and now claims all her guy friends are just friends.. its too hard to believe.. grown ladies will understand this standpoint.. the youngsters will argue about it.. choice is who you decide to give your heart to and where she gives it back to you or her friend..lol..

ROFL, i like this explanation.. way to decently admit you and your son both have text'ing addictions.. it's an addiction thats indeed a fad that has now became a crazed obsession.. why text? text was meant for emergency alpha-numeric paging guys and girls : converted that into its own "techno language" now girls use this to cover alot of things at once just as guys do.. phone companies continue to rollout the next best thing to the cellphone making the keyboards more bigger/flashier/cooler..hence continually adding features that increase text.. so now instead of calling to relay that quick sentence it takes less than 5 seconds to relay over voice to someone.. now takes up to 1 min due to waiting for a response. msg send signal. and status bar..lol priceless.. Text'ing sucks, I hate it, i never want to receive one again.. no text.. no text.. no text... IVE LOST TOTAL CONTROL NOW.... where's my Iphone i need to text for directions back from where i got lost at..lol

Dating in the 21st century has taken a turn... and only time will tell if it is for the worse." yes it sure has taken a turn, unfortunatly for the worse IMHO ( in my honest opinion) Today with so many choices here in Texas i see a dating world of ( do for me and i do for you) many are only hooking up for basic needs instead of long term companionship goals.. its the sign of the time.. we have speed dating , chat dating, online dating, christian dating , etc.. so many choices out there so many places to go to find a mate.. hec we even have Sugar Daddy dating websites.. old fashion is just that.. yet ones brought up the old way have great morals these morals may not need to change but they do need to be modified to go along with the current flow of things.. cant believe this i feel as if im older now and comparing myself to the kids.. ( yes mama ive grown up and see what you were yelling at me about ..finallY!) respect is still given but to some must be earned.. sometimes you cant respect someone who doesnt have the proper morals in place can you? it goes hand in hand.. all in all .. to everyone on this thread that has decent morals.. spread your habits around teach the young to act this way.. understand why folks act a certain way.. teach them to have morals.. cause without them.. the future is rather bleak.. it could end up one day where we'll end up buying our wives/husbands off of ebay.. and if so who fault is it? something to ask yourself

Yes opposites do attract.. almost constantly when in relation to zodiac signs, backgrounds, etc.. yes some have their advantages some do not. i would suggest to anyone considering dating an exact opposite to LOOK OUT.. the 1st few weeks, months, years may appear to be wonderful.. then all of a sudden you wake up and recognize the wrong path you chose.. its better to be aligned with someone which you share common traits, backgrounds with.. dont go there..

Its called text addiction.. and yes you're dead on Females are way way into text'ing these days.. when they're bored, shy, dating, working, etc. why else would phone companies offer it? because women LOVE Talking.. thats why... it transforms a cell phone into a instant messenger.. whats sad is... many.. many.. many people including guys are in denial they have this addiction.. incase some may not have notice.. text'ing is becoming a national obession causing car accidents, cheating, etc.. its almost bad as Malboro's & Newports... if you're in a relationship with someone and you notice she/he texts you way way too often ( more than 10 texts in a day)...look out and check your mobile bill.. many get the unlimited text'ing package and ASSUME you have it also.. thats another reason why they do it so much.. i hate text'ing its really dumb.. you have that much time to type it out.. forget iphone, blackberry, etc... but yet it only takes a matter of 2-3 seconds to connect a live call.. instead they decide on typing it out... hence proof of an addiction.. you know its bad while here in texas they are starting DONT TEXT AND DRIVE commericials.. yea.. keep the insurance and phone companies happy ladies.. :)

only reason she's avoiding you is perhaps a fact 7 1/2 months ago.. she went out and cheated on you and the baby maybe someone else's.. ive seen females do this before. alot of them plan to get pregnant by a guy..just to have one.. then when something happens in a relationship they actually jump ship and run to someone else when it doesnt work out with that rebounder.. they usually by 100% attempt to go back .. usually OP this means have your lawyer ready because eventually a child support order is on its way.. what can ya say its the "New baby-mama drama" if i were you, i would focus on myself and work hard let her play those head games meanwhile making sure your lawyer is on top of it once the baby is born.. it cuts out 1000's of hours worth of fighting, arguing..

there's more of a growing trend for single moms to now be just that. single moms.. which according to the latest census stastics, single moms have increased so much that its seriously becoming the new "status symbol" Although some men wont admit the real reasons there are several standing reasons single moms are not finding makes or having problems/issues toward dating again. 1) there is some sort of pre-assumption about a single mom that if she has/had kids then she's easy, needy, and very materialistic.. now the good moms will debate this and that.. yet they are also aware of the "bad moms" that do exist in this world that sends these stereotypes out. 2) Unfortunatly despite anything a single mom may say.. we men know sooner or later finances will become part of the deal while in a relationship with a single mom.. its a matter of time.. just the way it is.. you like her.. you like her body.. you better like the kid(s) as well.. take em to chucky cheese.. be the step-daddy.. if not and you do not want that.. then why even try.. 3) Single Moms= Committment and some of us are afraid of that even though we'll try to deny it.. i think all single moms can be potentially perfect committment wise once they figure out what they want.. many are still confused on what went wrong with their ex's/baby-daddy's, ect.. just know again.. if you dip.. you better be willing to commit. P.S.. i like some single moms but i can tell the bad ones right off.. beware.. all of them will want/expect YOU to pay.. better be able to afford them.. i can and maybe i will.. depends on her..

you and i are on the same level of thinking today as i was just about to create a thread discussing the same exact thing. to me it seems women always claim they want a good guy.. yet they almost always end up with a bad boy/thug/rebel...lately its been seeming some would prefer to use a good guy till a bad boy comes along they THINK they can change.. so in recent changes to the dating worlds.. a good guy is a bad boy that knows when to be bad and only to her be good.. guess this is the way some ladies are thinking.. so now im on the verge of just being a bad boy thats only good to the right kind of lady..and also im doing a t9n of research of old gangster movies, learning how to break laws, looking into purchasing a bike, marrying 3 different women in 3 states, etc.. that way it increases my dating chances back up to 100%

I'll date who-ever i want and i dont care what anyone thinks of me. and i dare them to step to me about this issue. ive seen red-necks hook up with sista's... i laugh then think about the red-neck "hey you cant be all that bad nice job.. good luck to ya" i see white girls hooking up with latino's.... " i say... Ok.. good luck to ya" i see latino's hooking up with brotha's.... "i say dam! i hate you with a passion and that should be ME!" ROFL i see folks now hooking up with other races and find it pleasant..i really hope this opens up nationwide... we have alot to catch up with compared to Canada and Europe. Dear Cowboy, Pains from getting over someone is trying these days.. i understand exactly where you're coming from. However you must not compare a future prospect to a previous lover.. the girls do it all the time but as a man we have to keep our heads up and move forward. You must really miss her i understand that also.. but again.. since it ended.. what have you learned from it? this is what you can take into a new relationship once found. Remember to learn from your past experiences in order to make sure you succeed on your next adventure.. its a good thing you're finding out about love and getting over someone is hard.. it shows you have a good heart.. use that as a signal to a lady that you have a place for her..only if you allow it.. you have to be open to love another and opened to receive it from someone else other than the one you once loved.. ya dig? keep ya head up cowboy! peace

The Dallas Police Dept. began doing that as a STING.. and since it immediatly started outcries from the city itself.. they ceased.. how-ever.. this sting was done on the Lower Greenvile Ave. area which as some may or may not know the local neighbors are in a movement to kick the clubs/bars out ... due to a history of violence, drunkiness, sex in cars, etc thats happened in the surrounding neighborhoods.. this was an injunction on the private rights of citizens and its still up in arms if it will be forced.. but its already too late for nightclubs/bars in the Dallas area.. beginning April 1st, 2009 new ordance laws will be governed.. so yea.. the prudes win again.. this place is becoming a city full on over-zealous christian conservatives who're bascially giving the government a key to running our lives.

Ive noticed this trend and i have to say.. really YELL to the ladies out there.. chill the hell out on the dayum texting.. good grief.. its not a personal communication channel.. its intended for short msg's.. "honey im runnig late, OMW(on my way), etc. When i do meet someone and they're lucky enough to get my cell phone.. i look at the texting from them 1st now.. if they text me more than a certain number of times too the point it becomes a distraction.. i cut them off. Period.. it indicates she has too much time on her hands.. i say Her cause its mostly females that text like crazy. perfect example ... posted today on CNN.. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2009/01/13/pn.most.outrageous.texts.cnn 14,528 text messages within 1 month buy a Teenage girl 1 text every 2 minutes (not including time asleep) comes out to a 440 page statement from AT&T bill is 2,905.60( if that person did not get unlimited text).. at this point when you meet someone and "they want to hold a text conversation with you instead of calling you" let them know about their addiction and dont play into it.. O yea.. they usually are texting more than 1 person hence... the text addiction.. ignore them till they're brave enough to use a cell phone for whats it is really intended for.. to make dam calls!
