What operating system are you using?

You're full of analogies aren't you!
#1 : wine is NOT an emulator. that's what WINE stands for, seriously look it up. it's more like an application layer/wrapper. and when you install wine, you are not required to install the entire Windows OS. You only need the requirements for whatever programs you are running, generally it's just the Microsoft TTF fonts that are required for normal operation.
#2 : Realtime has VERY LITTLE to do with clockspeed of the computer. You can have a RealtimeOS installed on a 486, and the delay between the human input and the resulting computer output is reduced. Of course the faster the computer the larger the reduction, but alas, you can have a Realtime OS installed on a 300MHz computer and the latency of it's audio output will be comparible to that of a faster computer until more load is applied. A RTOS does not necessarily have high throughput; rather, an RTOS provides facilities which, if used properly, guarantee deadlines can be met within a governed timeframe.
I am referring to audio milliseconds, where when you turn the encoder for the flanger up, the computer will respond onscreen, and the audio will respond at the EXACT same time (or whatever your latency is). Going from vanilla 2.6.2x to Free/OpenRTOS made a huge improvement in the responsiveness of all my audio applications. I don't run the RTOS kernel all the time, it's merely there for when I am producing.
The Linux you use is certainly heavy. The Linux I use is not. Please, stop with the analogies.
[braden@cyberdyne ~]$ free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1009 830 179 0 135 395
-/+ buffers/cache: 299 710
So out of 1GB, there is 830MB used right now, of which 710MB is loaded into buffers and can be accessed/cleared immediately without penalties. So, even with a bloated GUI like gnome2.26.3, a couple instances of Firefox3.5, exaile, and some other apps running, I'm only using about 120MB of ram. For a full on GUI, that's nothing. tinyXP doesn't come that close with similar apps running. Oh yea, and thats with a vanilla 2.6.30 kernel, no patches or mods.

Windows supports SATA fine.... now. There are no differences between SATA and PATA except for the medium used in transferring data. Both principals are EXACTLY the same, except one uses a 40/80 conductor parallel transfer interface, and the other uses a 4 conductor serial block transfer interface. Either you integrated your own drivers in your old WinXP CD, or you went out and bought a SP3 one which included a base set of SATA drivers that would get you off the ground.
aichtoowo: why would I consider a Red-hat liscense? I stopped using Windows eight years ago because of the bloat. Why would I choose a bloated Linux distro? I prefer to keep my OS on lockdown, with min. packages and just the bare essentials (except I go overboard with pekwm, but hey, everyone likes a little GUI right?). If you're paying merely for support, you're getting burned and you should learn how to use google, because honestly I haven't run into a problem in eight years that google hasn't been able to help me fix and solve. Ohh yea, they have a linux SDK and linux drivers for that Matrox RTx2.
Adobe Photoshop and CS4 have sucessfully run under Wine in linux, just go have a look at winehq. Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 is successful in Linux when combined with wine1.0.0>+. As for office, ever since OO.org released 1.4, I haven't bought, looked at, or even considered using M$ shit.
I mainly run Arch Linux with a RTOS kernel, I do a lot of audio work and I like to keep my latency as low as possible. less than 3ms is good for me. Windows would NEVER give me that.

How do applications on a Linux based OS cost more when the majority of them are open source? How about support when support is handled by communities much larger than that of the entire Microsoft corporation? I'm sure if you take the Gentoo, Suse, Fedora, and Ubuntu forums seriously there's more support there than anywhere else on the web.
I've never had a problem with linux in my life. If there IS a problem it's user fault. Even when bleeding edge hardware comes out it's supported firstly in Linux before windows.
I had SATA drives when they first came out, and they never worked with windows unless you hit F6 and loaded some BS driver. Never, NOT ONCE had a problem with Linux, distro of choice is Arch, basically Crux with pacman.
I will NEVER run windows solely again, only run x86_nt5 in Bochs.

Goodbye Michael Jackson..................
Posted:

Michael Jackson was a great person in his heart and in his actions.
Michael Jackson has done more for a lot of individuals and groups than most people here can attest. It's what fame did to him that ****ed him up, and those people that wanted his money.
Who cares, all that matters is that Michael Jackson, although physically gone, is still here in spirit and in his music. I was never one to just bust out Off The Wall on vinyl, but as Joni Mitchell once put it, 'You never know what you got 'til it's gone'. Sad but true.
I love you MJ.

I'm going to have to suggest this as... from a women's perspective having multiple husbands would definitely get all those "To-Dos" DONE around the house.
Hanging doors, painting, removing and laying new carpet, replacing sinks, oh my god this list is endless.
Now, if there was another man around the house shit would get DONE!!!!! and I'd already be done and relaxing.

Nothin' wrong with doing the dirrrrtay when you're riding the red river.
Shit, it's even factual that a woman is RANDIEST when shes bleeeeeeding.
I like it when it gets messy too, because afterwards you can take eachother into the shower and give eachother the bloody washdown.

While in BC, check out Salt Spring Island. It's the largest of the Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia between mainland British Columbia, Canada and Vancouver Island.
There are places on the island where the ground is made of quartz. It's wild and very empowering.

Why do men not call?
Posted:
6/7/2009 10:07:11 AM
When women talk on the phone, they feel the need to describe EVERY detail whether it's important or redundant information, there are no filters. So what -could- take 10 minutes to explain ends up taking more like 45 minutes.
When men talk on the phone it's direct, to-the-point, short, got all the information bases covered, type stuff. I don't feel the need to go on for 20 minutes describing every detail, every emotion, and every colour, right down to what the MF that served me my damn salad at lunchtime was wearing on his collar.
That -might- be a reason why men don't call.... or at least why I don't call.
Might also be the reason why the love of my life is a bicycle, hahahaha. I love my bike.

If it's too dirty for you, just do it in the shower.
You can make the cake AND eat it too.

Now the only problem is finding women who are into it or willing to try it.
Sub Cub: I don't think I'll have too much of a problem finding these kinds of girls, I seem to attract the crazy ones, some of them even scare me (associated with their actions).
I say have fun! Shame some men can't be as open as you and that I can't meet them!
leggy25: nice to meet you, i'm braden.
Being open and upfront would save everyone a lot of time in finding their fish.
very happy camper: those are very kind words. i'll definitely have to keep treading water. :) thanks you <3
"a-spot"
kendra_13: yay, more educated
This all makes me wonder....what everyone's LINE is?
And why.?And Shiva....sorry about the TJ....
don't worry about the tj :) i am not sure what my line is to be honest. if it's pleasurable i'll at least try it. someone once told me avacados were nasty so i never tried them... well now i like avacados, they're awesome. same principle can be applied. i'm sure i have a line, but i have yet to cross it.
you are definetly gay babe.... there is no way a straight guy would take it like that... and no way any lady would want to know.... try a gay club.xx
I did end up hanging out on Church St. (a well known gay district in Toronto) during their annual Nuit Blanche festivities two years ago. Gay people know when they see straight people... so I'm not too worried going into a gay club/bar. I'm the furthest thing from homophobic.
Ummmm nope, but OP, if ya ever do talk a lady cop into shoving a rubber dolphin up the old chute, please, please, please post and give all the details. That would be priceless comedy.
It's not something I'd forget, trust me. I dunno though, a woman cop might get outta control and I probably wouldn't survive to be honest, TOO much power, you know. I'll send you the pictures/video.
OP, there are different ways to give the power to women in the bedroom without getting nailed, just a thought (handcuffs, blind folds, etc.). But I do applaud you for your openness.
Thank you, I appreciate the link, I'll have something to read tonight while I compile x.org :D

Yea trust me, I probably would enjoy it.
Oh geez, look what I've done. I hope all of you don't think I lack some form of normalcy.

If I was in love with a man,who wanted to switch the power differentials,I know....I would be gentle. And you will get a much worse reaming here...than you would if you just found an open-minded woman to live out your your fantasy with.
It seems....some people can't seem to define anal sex or any kind beyond being GAY....silly if you ask me, to force Straight men into a box like that.
And BTW
GAY....is not just about SEX...It's about LOVING the same sex and being attracted to the same sex.Or so I thought. It's not defined by sex ACTS!~
Yea, precisely I did not mention anything about men in these acts but rather it was more a post regarding my admiration of a woman that likes to switch things up a little bit. Sex gets boring pretty quick when all you do is the same routine all the time.
LOL...That's what he is doing.....
hahahahaaaa!!!!!!!!!!1
For the good of the brotherhood?
Unbelieveable. Imagine if being a REAL MAN...meant having the GUTS...to take it up the a$$ by a woman to give her a taste of what it feels like to FINALLY be in control.
Where would you stand then? lol
Something about this 'brotherhood' is starting to scare me.
Thanks for the positive reinforcement closer2u.

Stripping and relationship....
Posted:

Is it the attention you seek? Why not get pleasure from stripping for your boyfriend?
I would assume it's about the money.
A friend of mine was a stripper (I actually knew her as her and not her stripperself, and one day she told me she had been stripping for a few years, what a shock)
She earned enough money ONE summer to fly to Peru and chill out there for the fall/winter without having to work. Sounds good to me.

My last girlfriend had the most awesome giggle, and I could never control myself when she was giggling, and yes, it only got more out of control when were in a situation like this, haha.
Thank you for loving me, I love all you posters too. I better not include the men though, they might think I am trying to get them to put their units in my bum :(
sorry.

I wasn't referring to only cops doing this. I was just saying that it's similar to shifting power. In society woman haven't been "allowed" to be police officers until the last 30 years, and everyone knows woman cops are power-trippin' because now they can boss anyone around and if nobody listens to them, well, you're gettin' an earful/beating.
Similar situation in the sack, if you give the woman the**** she'll be mad dominating. I like to see how women behave when you give them the role of the man.

#1 - I'm not 'dude' - yours or anybodys.
#2 - This is NOT a joke. I'm serious, and all my friends know how I feel. I've told them many times over dinner. They never stuck my head in a toilet either.
Revoke my man card at will, please, do you want my address? I don't think I'd take it in the ass from a man though, only from a woman. Are you just mad because you can't share the same mentality?
I am not ashamed of myself either, why would I be? And yes, I have tasted my own man juice before, it wasn't that bad. If a woman can eat/drink/taste my own jizz, why the hell can't I? I can do everything a woman can do, /me shrugs.
I fail to see anything wrong with the situation.

I've always been intrigued by a woman giving it to me in the ass with a strap-on. It's something about the shift of power from the man to the woman that makes it so appealing.
You know when you see a woman cop? They always seem to have some type of bloated ego because now they have a HUGE**** and a gun. Well I think more women should be given the chance to feel like they have a HUGE****without becoming a police officer.
Tell me your anal adventures with women, have you ever had a girl stick a carrot or rubber dolphin****in your ass?

That sounds like the perfect date to me. :'(
