in the clouds

a circling white, of ancient light
who, with lucid rays of perfect blue
unrolled across a canvas sky
to lay His softest shade on you
while headwinds of a holy kind
blew sweet dreams behind your earthly eyes
love's colors filled your sailing mind
and pushed you through to paradise
beyond the ecstasy of white
above cloud-cover, pristine blue
your gossamer wings unfurled bright
and wet with newborn love you flew
past earth-limits of waking scenes
to play in worlds of dreams come true
you spread His light through prism wings
in rainbow tones of heaven-hue
you were soaring, soaring, soaring high
your head was in the clouds
as love was circling by

although i wouldn't go so far as to call this a poem, i have a liking for stupid jokes, etc. and i guess i've reached a new low by making others suffer like this but i can't resist. it's intended for a prospective mate and i call it "domestic bliss"
do you know how to make a bed?
do you own a needle and thread?
do you have some pots and pans?
what's that, a rolling pin in your hand?
wait, i was only teasing you!
now my black-eye's turning blue
that's ok, my mistake.
but can i have some chocolate cake?

hello from kansas city. thanks for providing this site. this is a completely new experience but i'm looking forward to joining the thousands who are searching for their hearts desire here. i have a real love for writing, poetry and art and will probably visit these forums. looking forward to meeting you there, and who knows..."maybe lightening might strike!" :) sam
