Texas and the Judicial System.....SUX!!!!
Posted: 12/21/2005 8:55:37 AM
Hey guys--just a little female viewpoint here--I agree with you that dads do get the short end of the deal sometimes--but just remember, it works both ways! I have an ex that just got his child support lowered to $200/month and he can't even pay that!! And for the record, I don't say sh** to him about it or put him down to our son--how he chooses to live is his business, not mine -- as long as it doesn't affect our son--I don't care, he's the one that has to live with himself. Sometimes all you can do is remember that you paid your support and it may suck but at least you didn't join the list of deadbeat dads.

Is it me, my profile, what?????
Posted: 12/19/2005 7:08:52 PM
I think you sound like a great guy and I know you didn't ask for a profile review, but your profile is a bit negative. You may want to take out the ex- references, it may be putting some women off--just my 2 cents though--good luck on your search!

I have to agree with the others--grammar and punctuation can go a long way! Also, it is a bit negative, but mostly, I would lose the, camera phone in a mirror images, you have. I see a lot of people doing it and I just don't get it! I think you look really cute so get someone to take a pic of you or scan some in that you already have. Please, no offense, just trying to help.

Tell me ladies, what is wrong with my profile?
Posted: 12/19/2005 6:30:41 PM
I don't think anything is wrong with your profile--but your pic doesn't match the way you sound on your profile--but that's just my 2 cents worth! Good Luck!

Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?
Posted: 12/18/2005 8:40:17 AM
Well, here's my 2 cents worth....I usually only look at/respond to profiles w/pics but a guy w/no pic (not on pof) started e-mailing me and we chatted on im and he was great and funny...we really hit it off, so when he did put on a pic...he was not my usual type(looks-wise) but since I had gotten to know him beforehand--I didn't care --I think he's great! So it just goes to show ya--you can't judge a book by it's cover! LOL! I will definitely respond to profiles w/out pics --after all, I don't want to limit myself!

Does it seem that single parents never get any breaks?
Posted: 12/10/2005 9:08:57 AM
Oh my gosh, can you get off her case? I know exactly where she's coming from--I'm a full-time mother, full-time student, and I work part-time and yes, sometimes I get selfish and want to have something to show for all my effort--but that's part of being human. As mothers we give every part of ourselves until it seems that there's nothing left for us--who are you to judge her? Are you perfect--I highly doubt it! Last I checked, none of us are perfect and all we can do is -- do our best and when we get discouraged along the way--hopefully there will some understanding people that will give us the pep talk we need and we get life back in perspective and keep going!!!! It's all any of us can do! Geeeesh! Lighten up!
