Anyone Besides Me Love Squid And Octopus

YUCK, YUCK AND DOUBLE YUCK!! I hate'em both! I had a marine science teacher in High School who would bring in neat stuff for us to see and try. She made us eat squid in black ink and octopus. Just looking at the squid turned me off, and the same with the octopus and when those tentacles touched my tongue eeeeeeeeeeewwwww!!!! Never again!!

What was your biggest food/meal disaster?

Mine just happened about 2 weeks ago. I decided to experiment with pizza on the grill. I made one for my son with red sauce, pepperoni, bacon, grilled marinated chicken and about 4 diff cheeses. Mine was, ranch dressing, grilled chicken, pepperoni, red onion, mushrooms, asparagus , bacon , and about 4 or 5 cheeses.(YUMM)
I put them on the grill on low heat, my sons was looking great, it needed a little more cooking on top so I put it in the oven to broil,(I didn't know the botton was already burnt.) I ended up scraping the stuff off, placed it on a double stacked flour tortilla and added more cheese and melted in oven for 2 minutes, it turned out great.
With mine, I took it off the grill early and put it in the oven on broil to warm the stuff from the top. (no way did it get burnt on the grill ! ) When I took it out of the oven, it too was totally black on the bottom! I couldn't figure out why??? Well, the button on my oven wasn't entirely on broil, but on 500 degrees cooking from the bottom!! I was soooooo pissed.
I scraped mine off into a bowl and called it a low carb pizza!

The Best Lasagne In The World! Guaranteed!

Tim your recipe looks a lot like what I use, but I've never used the asiago cheese, will have to try it, and I'm not a big fan of cinnamon in red sauce. I was just wondering, is everything expensive where you live?? I just added up the prices in my head , what I'd pay around here (Ocala, Florida) and it would cost $25, $30 max!

Chrysostom: I like yours, just change Penn. Runner up to Mr. World runner up. and add : I will never ask you to be with another woman while I sit by and watch.I will never seek fulfillment elsewhere , when you turn me down for a BJ. I will not ask you to wait until my dog wakes up from his nap on your pillow so you can join me in bed. I will take you out for dinner at least once a week even though you are a fantastic cook and I prefer your cooking to anyone elses. I will not keep my personals ad on a year after we are married. I will not frequent gay bars, web-sites and gay mens homes and continue to expect you to believe that I really am straight! If I do decide for some unknown reason I am gay you will be the first to know, not the entire community we live in, and I will not wait 15 years to end our marriage! (even if I do need a male heir to carry on the family name!)
(OOPS I guess I got a little off track, anyone noticing a theme here?!!?!??!?!)
Ideally i would like a guy to write and say he'd seen my ad and not only are our profiles a perfect match, but ,that we had already met in person ,in passing and he knew someone I worked with and that he heard I expressed and interest in him and he was extremely flattered and blown away by my beauty, grace and charm!! And could he have the honor of cooking me a gourmet meal while I sat by watching him, while sipping a glass of chardonnay from a long stemmed crystal glass!

Will a non smoker date a smoker ?

Benz: That was very funny! Got my laugh for the day!
I tend not to contact guys who are non-smokers, because I just don't feel comfortable smoking in their presence. On the other hand, as someone said here, if they contact me and they are a non-smoker, it is their responsibility to read my profile.

When the first leg of your date is going to the cell phone store so he can pay his bill and yell at the clerks.!
When he tells you he has this nice place on the lake and it's in the corner of a dirty canal with no view!
When you talk endlessly about food and cooking and he tells you how much better of a cook he is than you are and you see his kitchen: No dishes, no spices and the stove has never been used!
When he practically kills you on his Harley weaving in and out of traffic and driving in the gutter cussing people out!
When he does the same taking you home in his truck!
When you go back to his house to get ready for dinner and he has lawn furniture for living room furniture (I mean I do, but at least I admit it!)
And last but certainly not least: When you go back to his house at the end of the date and he leaves you alone in the living room to run to the bedroom and check his E-Mail to see if he got any better offers!!!!!!!!!
And, No folks I couldn't make this s**t up!!!!! Or I guess I could, I'm pretty creative, but not this time!. Too bad, He was damn fine, I just think he was a little too stuck on himself.
Oh yeah, he said he was retired and I found out he was disabled.

I'm Not Attracted To Men My Age....
*

I think at sometime in all our lives we've felt that way a little. However the thread says, " I'm Not Attracted To Men My Age" Most people's responses dealt with wanting someone younger. When I was 18 I thought I was only attracted to older men, when I got a little older it was men closer to my age and when I got in my 40's it was men a little younger.
The fact is: I like what I like when It attracts me to it, whether he be young or old! When I was 40 I dated a guy who was 10 years older than me.It was his wit and intelligence that attracted me to him. When I was with him, I didn't feel like there was an age difference at all. Commonalities in other areas have a way of defying all age differences. When I was 45 (last year) My boyfriend was 27, an 18 year difference, but when I was with him I didn't feel old, I actually felt young again, especially when, not only could I keep up with him, often I was last one standing!
It just depends on what type of relationship you are looking for. When I met my young stud, I wasn't looking for a serious relationship, I was just looking for companionship, and got some fantastic sex as a bonus.
So in a nutshell, I believe in the old saying , age is just a state of mind. And I don't mind if I do whatever I darn well please with whoever I darn well please to do it with!

Hi! Michelle here. I've been on POF for almost a year. I live in Ocala, Florida and have lived in Central Florida all my life (Cocoa,Orlando,St.Pete. and Ocala) I work a lot , read a lot and cook a lot (and good) I've been on a few dates from here, but none have gone past a second date. Am looking for a good man, who doesn't lie and you must be 100% hetrosexual! (no exceptions)Would like to start going to some of the get togethers, they seem like a lot of fun. Wouldn't mind meeting some friends to hang out with in Ocala either, BBQ's etc.

Gainesville POF Get Together - September 23

I don't know if this is how you post a response but here goes. I have been reading all about your little (or not so little get together in G'Ville and it sounded like great fun. I haven't been out on an internet in quite some time, got rather discouraged. I think a group get together would be much more fun.I could use some new friends. I'm not a big dancer but I'm great at conversation and have been known to make people laugh quite often. I would love to know if you do one again and if anyone living in Ocala would want to share a ride, as my car isn't in the greatest condition. Could share gas and maybe the expense of a room. I would need to know in advance since I work at a restaurant here that makes me work every weekend and every holiday! And I'm dying to know, did you have the pajama party? If you decide to do that again I'm game, I'm a great cook and have some killer brunch recipes! Let me know.
