Redid the profile, tried something new.

Two things

1 - you don't mention the type or lady that interests you. How can a lady message you if you don't specify what you'd like?

2 - those pics of the blue man and Zach Braff. They're not you and will get deleted. No need for them.

If you really follow the guidelines, you'd stick to the one thread only rule for a profile review.

Mandatory DNA tests at birth?
Posted: 11/24/2009 12:20:18 AM
I think it's fair.

Must be heartbreaking to find out that a child isn't yours after x amount of years of loving it.. financially speaking too, if the child is being paid for by a man who thinks he is the father, only to find he isn't.

Who should pay?

I think that the cost can come down quite a bit .. should it really cost that much or is it expensive because it just is.. and doesn't have to be.

OP you can't only specify which gender answers your question. It's against POF terms.

Even though it's 'ask a girl', men can and do answer.

only solution is to move out ..

Taken is right.

Once you are living on your own in your place, paying the rent and your own bills, your parents have no place telling you how to raise your own child.

Would they have appreciated their mother interfering with raising you?

What gym behavior annoys you the most?
Posted: 11/22/2009 4:22:48 PM
People using the machines as seats, while they have a good ol' convo about what they were doing on the weekend etc.

I went to workout whilst there was a LLLS group in attendance (Live Longer Live Stronger).

One elderly man sat on the seated row bench, just yakking away to his buddy. I stood there for a little while, waiting... until the buddy realised I wanted to use the machine. Now I would have gone elsewhere but all the other equipment was occupied and the seated row was next on my list.

Took a little while but he got up and said I could use the machine

What spices go good with what?
Posted: 11/19/2009 5:35:07 PM
Try ground nutmeg on

Pork chops and roast chicken

Do NOT add any herbs if you do. I reckon it spoils it

Eg grab a roast chicken and coat in salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Roast in the oven, taking care to baste regularly. It's absolutely YUM

Can you freeze an unopened container of Greek Yogurt?
Posted: 11/18/2009 5:36:33 PM
Gordo

I do this regularly.

I buy slices of ham and freeze them for my sons' lunches. If I defrosted them in room temperature, water would leak out.

I found that defrosting them overnight in my fridge alleviated that problem

It works for me so in my experience, I'm not mistaken.

Your main profile pic shows a couch behind you with something on the floor. Not a good pic to try to draw a lady in.

The pic with the black hat needs to go.. you look about 50 in that one.

And agreed, smoking often isn't going to help.

What's your take on agressive ladies?
Posted: 11/18/2009 4:19:07 PM

Perhaps it's just me ,but I think there are more ladies waiting for a message from a guy than there are guys waitong for a message from a girl.
A lot of people talk about the 50/50 rule but in the begining it's usualy 75/25.

It's just you.

My observations;

Bad pics - we can't see what you look like because you are too far away, and wearing sunglasses. Women (trust me on this) want to see your eyes. Women are big on eyes, in fact they're the most important physical trait to most of us.

Secondly, you don't state the kind of woman you prefer. What's she like? How is your potential date going to know you are seeking her type?

It really looks like a lazy profile.

Sounds like you're new to the forums OP.

Both genders are allowed to answer questions in both Ask a Guy and Ask a Girl.

To say you don't want a particular gender to answer is against POF terms and is called 'polarisation'.

So basically Showmesomething is allowed to respond.

I think regarding the sex issue this weekend, you can say no and let her know that you'd like to go more slowly. There's no rush! Love isn't rushed.. but infatuation is. Only a week and she declares love for you? That's way too fast, sounds to me like a girl who isn't really in touch with her emotions and mistakes infatuation for love.

The problem with infatuation is that it doesn't last long at all, about the time it takes to become infatuated.

It takes a few months for the 'honeymoon' period to be over, when the excitement over a new relationship dies down and the reality sets in (when she starts to notice you actually have flaws)

You can control how slowly or how fast you move. But it helps that you explain to your girl in a loving way that you are doing this to make sure you are going about setting up a nice relationship properly.

I'm I uglier then I thought I was..lol. Is my profile saying something that is scaring you? Do you feel my profile is B/S? What is it ladies? come on be brave I don't bite

No you don't bite but you bark alot. This quoted above will have the ladies thinking 'well stuff you' and click away.

When my 5 yr old son came out of my room with a toy. It operates on batteries as many toys do...luckily I was at home alone and only his lil bro who at the time was 4 saw the incident.

Only thing is.... it's not A toy.. nor HIS toy. It's my toy, the kind one sequesters. Get my drift??

BROWN... a lot have I am sure. I have heard some stories about men meeting the same types. I cannot imagine living off of anyone period. It is why I work hard, pay my own bills and am back in College. I am not collecting Alimony; believe me. for what? My dogs??? lol I wish. And CARMIA next time you post a profile post the whole thing Cupcake. You left off the intro...where I clearly state I am here for the forums only. Holding a grudge? Next day "being over things" line in your profile is not working. Back from the gym. Time to make some Chicken. Care for a bite? It is skinless. Toodles.

Svetlana: I thought the quote I had in my post was from op's profile.

Your profile is too short.. one paragraph doesn't cut it and can show your laziness.

You have lots of pics that are pretty much the same.

Lose the shirtless pic. It will be deleted, as it's against POF terms.

Put down the kind of lady you seek. Make your profile interesting.

I make it a policy to never ask someone if they love me... why?

Because if they do, they'll let you know.

To me it shows insecurity if you have to ask someone.. you should be able to tell by their actions. Let them tell you rather than putting the pressure on them..

Love isn't forced, it flows..

Sorry but I do find it disrespectful

He'd think so low of women as to send out a mass email with no personalisation, hoping to snare one person ?

Why not take the time to check out a profile properly and be more specific as to that person's profile?

How many of the same email do you send out to the masses?

I suppose if you put out enough identical nets, you'll catch a fish.

So no one's gonna say.......

LEAVE BRITNEY ALOOOOOOOOOOOONE!!??

haha

I think it's all about what one perceives as Entertainment. If one expects Britney to sing live while jumping around, then I suppose in all reality, they need to assume that her voice is going to be a bit jumpy. Try jumping around and singing at the same time. It isn't easy.

I love Pink though... she's got balls!

You need better pics.

You may just get women complimenting you on your muscles, but you need to show that you are more than just beefcake. Your picture implies that you ARE all about muscles, especially when you say you dont want to put in a longer profile.

That's just laziness. Say more about yourself and indicate what kind of woman you seek, apart from your headline - "looking for a pretty girl" (who isn't?)

Look at it this way. If you're not going to put the effort into your profile (which sells you) then are you going to put an effort into dating/relationships?

In my area it's a bit up in the air whether to allow for siblings or expect to be allowed..

I have two sons and before, there was no problem with either one 'crashing' the party, but I have noticed now it seems to be different.

Maybe it's cost? Personal liability?

Great profile body but you could improve on the pics.

If you look at your thumbnail of your main pic - it looks like you're holding a giant crab net or something!

For now, use the last pic which clearly shows your face .. but ask a friend to get some good pics of you.

Overall a much better than average effort.
