Friends - love em or leave em up a mountain?

Ive been in a horrible situation with someone i was once friends with.
She suffered with mental illness and when medicated was great but when she stopped taking it,she became a nightmare.
I loved her to bits but it was getting to the stage where her kids were suffering, she kept popping round late on at night n when asked who was in with the baby, would reply its ok hes in bed,or the older boy who was 11 at the time was with him.
She ended up falling out with me as she thought i was picking on her,by telling her she couldnt leave the kids,or have different men round,or forgetting to give them thier tea.
In the end i had no choice but to report her and the kids ended up with thier dad,i told her what i had done but it was for the best interest of the kids,so felt i had no other option,i had tried helping her as much as i could and i lost a friend but it had to be done.

Has anyone here done a deed poll name change for a child
Posted:

I had my boys changed into my name a few years back, and i didnt need thier fathers consent as he wasnt about.
I didnt have any problems with it,just make sure you keep all the documentation safe i somehow managed to lose 1 of the boys actual document during moving house and it took me agaes to get a copy sorted from the solicitors and caused some problems trying to get thier passports.

Does anyone here look beyond the person in the pic and try to gauge how tidy or slovenly the person they're looking at is?
Posted:

Ive come across pics on here where the house looks a tip in the background, and it does put me off if im honest.
My sis was once sent a message on here off a guy that looked like he lived in rubbish dump..it was like Mr Treabus(think it was) off life of grime.

In my experience the weights side seems to be taken up with men and there tends to be more women doing the cardio side of things.
More women tend to take classes at the gym and spinning classes pillates ect.
So lots of women probably do use the gym.

Would you be happy to spy on shoplifters to earn money?
Posted:

As part of my job i do crowd profiling and some of the stuff i see is amazingly shocking and other stuff is amazingly funny...and i love it.
But there is no way i would want to go home and watch people shopping just on the off chance you will spot a thief.
I think the money would be alot better spend on an extra store detective or some sort of instore cctv and paying someone to sit and watch it there.

I think its a lot easier for a woman to go out and get sex when she wants then it is for a man.
And also alot of women would prefer to spend thier money on shoe's and go home and play with bunny

Should women be allowed to box?
Get a grip....women can do more or less anything guys can, well appart from the sperm bit anyways.
I used to do alot of boxing myself and its great to see.
You see the girls ripping chunks out of eachother on friday nights after a few beers, you also see guys doing the same thing but put either of those in a ring and it would be a different matter.

How reliable are the forums for judging someone's character?
Posted:
8/15/2009 12:54:15 AM
Not that reliable to be honest on here.
Some of the folk have been here a while and there are a few people on here who are genuine to whom they are,but there are also alot of arses to...like most forums, but hey its the net,how far do you trust people on here?
The best way to judge people is to meet them n take them for what they are.

Like the other ladies ive had that message to and now i dont feel loved
Get loads of the usual cheesy chat up messages and also the ones with email and phone numbers on first message, usually take them and set up a gaydar account mind they deserve it.
I get lots of strange messages i once had a message and all it said was "love the jam"
What was that all about?
I get the odd talk to Frank aswell and they also loose me.

I like tattoo's and have a few myself and recently added to my collection and will be adding again next friday
All my ink can be covered if needs be and the only 1 that could be harder would be the one on my inner wrist, when people ask me what they will look like in 50 years time,i tell them "the same as most other peoples my age,so who cares?"
Its each to thier own i guess but for now im happy

Kids And Their Basic Self Care !!
Posted:
6/22/2009 11:27:49 PM
Well i didnt need the absent parent here with me to teach my kids how to wipe thier own arses nor have i needed him to teach them basic life skills.
Infact i think they were better off without a druggy abusive father, what would having him about have taught them, that its ok to treat women like crap and sell anything you can get your hands on?
We have done fine in my opinion the boys have grown up with thier own confidence and are quite indipendant, they had lots good male influence in my two brothers.
I believe its much better to have one happy parent than two disfunctional parents.
And i dont think being on your own is any excuse to wipe your 8 year olds arse!!

Kids And Their Basic Self Care !!
Posted:
6/22/2009 4:35:10 AM
Just picking up that people have said this borders on abuse.
Well i recently read a book about a girl who was abused and she states clearly in her book that her father always wiped her bottom and she saw this as dirty and strange, this was before any real abuse went on but looking back she saw it as the start, him washing and wiping her.
So maybe thats what this child might see in the future,im sure at some point when he realises not all parents do this he will start finding it strange.

Posted:

You should start to teach your kid the basics as early as possible with regards to washing and brushing teeth ect.
And with wiping themselfs i always started teaching mine when they started potty training,it took a while for them to get it properly and i helped them untill they did,but if i had tried to wipe my lads arses at 8 years old they would have been so embarrassed!
Its a basic hygene skill and she aint helping him by not teaching him as young as possible.

Moral Dilemma
Posted:
6/4/2009 11:56:30 AM
If i ever was to write a book i would want to tell all of the story and not miss things out for fear of upsetting people.
If they were important to me then i would sit them down and tell them what i was planning to do.
If they didnt like it i guess we could talk about name changes ect,but would still go ahead with it.

What do you class as a succesful relationship?
Posted:
5/18/2009 4:21:20 AM
A bad relationship is where you dont get on,dont like spending time together, argue and feel the need to go find other people.
A good 1 is where you actually like spending time together, get on well support one another and dont feel the need to be with anyone else.
People change and something that might have been good at some point might change,i think each relationship shapes us to be the person we are,be it good or bad its a life experience.

How many people think Google Stretview is live?
Posted:
5/13/2009 4:34:59 AM
I can understand why people dont want thier houses on there,my Grandpa's house was on there very clearly with his wheelie bin out showing the sticker that lets people know its and elderly person who lives on thier own so needs help with the bin.
He's 92 and i believe things like that make him a target to local burglars
I know its not live but i believe little details should have been thought about before hand.

I wanted some chickens in my garden but there are lots of foxes round here, and all my neighbours are elderly so wouldnt want to upset them.
As long as your immediate neighbours dont have a problem you should be ok,not sure if you need permission or not tho.
I dont think it would bother me as i'm always up early anyways.
