Personal protection canines
Posted: 11/21/2009 5:27:29 PM
Exactly, whitecobra20. I usually know my breeds well, but a cane corso(Italian Mastiff), preso canario, dogo argentino are ones I commonly mistaken for pit bulls. They have the identical body structure, but they are well over 100 lbs.

I say punish the deed not the breed. People are getting mauled by these dogs cause the idiots are training them for illegal dog fights. My pit/dobe yrs ago got beat up by a Malamute! I never trained the dog to fight.

no kids
Posted: 11/20/2009 11:35:56 PM
Kids are everywhere, naturally. Maybe people like OP should move to a remote island like Gillagan, but there will be kids there I bet.

I wouldn't be too harsh about kids. Mine might pull your sorry butt out of a smoldering wreckage one day. He's with the Fire Dept.

Is this a Hate Crime ?
Posted: 11/20/2009 11:31:45 PM
It's a hate crime. Look at the deragatory remarks she made to this woman. What happened at Fort Hood was not her fault.

The thing I agree with alot of people on this is, why are the Muslim men who killed 13 people being treated less severely as this woman.

This woman just did a stupid act and no she had no right to harass the Muslim woman.

Job Satisfaction
Posted: 11/19/2009 12:30:59 PM
I am very satified with my job at the school. My benefits are among the best and My pension hopefully should be good (as long as another Gov doesn't raid it!!)

Advantages are we get 10 sick days/3 personal days a year. What we donot use accrues, may be added to pension when I retire.

Disadvantage is those who abuse time off or take excessive absences. They double up on my work. Some people it's no prob if they are sick for a day or take vacation, we all do.

But some take alot of days and alot of leave of absences ranging from few months to all year. Come on funerla leave gone a month?? That's absurd.

Other than that this is the best job I've had.

Bypassing the phone, is it okay or not?
Posted: 11/18/2009 11:03:57 AM
I hate phones. I have one out of nessesity but I hate talking on the phone. The trouble with the phone or IM is men feel it's necessary to talk about big jim and the twins.

On a good note most men blew it before the first meeting. That last one rattling on about how great he was, putting woman down definitely blew it.

school first or relationship first?
Posted: 11/18/2009 2:46:23 AM
School first definitely! At 3 months you are only in the "honeymoon stage".

With a PhD at least if you ever had kids and he bailed, you could still support them and live pretty decent. We can't depend on a man these days.

Walmart sets its sights on ruling the retail world.
Posted: 11/17/2009 11:58:07 PM
I only go to SuperWalmart to get my oil changed in my hybrid. The oil change places won't touch that car. Honda dealership is way overpriced.

As far as shopping, Dollar General has name brand products CHEAPER than Walmart. I shop there or Dollar Tree where everything's $1. Dollar Tree has some cool stuff.

How Many Of You Are Doing This?
Posted: 11/16/2009 11:17:58 AM
It seems to hold some truth to it. Some are picky, picky, picky.

The last guy didn't make it to first date. He rambled all about his great upbringing, how great he was, then said bad things about the mother of his child, short women(dwarfism), BBW women, black women. He kept repeating himself.

Then came the blow to me cause I apparently have a southern accent--"hillbilly" redneck" "I'm not attracted to you". Give me a break! He's ripping women for physical things they were born with! We can't help our size--mostly, skin color, accent.

Now I see his pic I see disgust. I am a great person. Physical attributes I can't change.

Who Molests Children?
Posted: 11/15/2009 3:43:00 PM
Sure molesters use trust and alot are friends or family members.

But I wouldn't be so sure about the neighbor who is a pedophile. I watch America's Most Wanted and it shows them grabbing little kids off the street.

All week I was reading about the 1983 Janine Nacarico murders. This scum snatched a 10 yr old girl from her home when she was home sick. He beat raped her, dumped her off in a prairie like garbage. In 1985 did the same to a 7 yr old girl and a 27 yr old woman. There may be 4 more victims. He is finally on death row.

birthing stories!!!
Posted: 11/15/2009 3:32:36 PM
I was 13 hours in labor with my older son, thought that was my dying day. Had to have an episiotomy cuase I was too small.

My youngest had to be induced, although bigger, was born after 6 hours, still episiotomy. I guess I never learned to stop running with the big dogs lol.

With the youngest the little Indian doctor told me "you're pushing when I told you to stop pushing"

I swear I just about stood up in the stirrups yelling at him. These men oughta try pushing one out. We want it over ASAP

Liking someone for who they are rather than what they offer
Posted: 11/15/2009 12:23:03 PM
True when men stop judging us based on appearance. They want the perfect "10".

Recently, one boasted upbringing and how great he was. Then went on to say he dumped the mother of his child cause "he was no longer attracted to her" and rambled on about all the girls he dated. Then he made a remark about me cause I have a southern accent despite being in Illinois my whole life. I took after my mom in lots of ways and her family is from Fla. He had the gall to call me "hillbilly from Tennessee and redneck". I've never been to Tennessee. I drive a new car unlike his '91 Fix or Repair Daily piece of crap.

Was looking for the perfect mommy for his daughter to pick up the tab and send her off to school. Lazy ones are a dime a dozen, God knows I've had many.

So all in all people need to accept someone for who they are, stop judging. I don't want another lazy one though.

Christmas already? For Christ's sake...
Posted: 11/15/2009 10:27:33 AM
Well, I am Catholic and I no longer enjoy the holiday season. I dread it!!

Jesus is the reason for the season, folks!! They talk about Santa and toys for the children, but adults become insatiably greedy. Stupid Lexus commercials with a car with a big bow on it. Black Friday people are getting trampled over $5 early bird dvd players, people fighting over toys. Remember Tickle Me Elmo and Cabbage Patch dolls? Ridiculous how people will kill each other over a toy that kids will be tired of after the holidays are over.

Oh and please no puppies for Christmas. It's unfair to the number of pups that wind up in the shelters after the holidays are over.

Guilty until proven innocent
Posted: 11/15/2009 10:17:42 AM
Well, maybe true in your case, OP, but in my case I am true to my word. If I am seeing someone I want to be with just him.

What arises suspicions is he just has no time for me. He can't call, just text, doesn't return e-mails or phone messages. He can't keep a date, often just not showing up.

Since I am only dating, not engaged or married, I don't see sending that dude from Cheaters to watch him. It would be interesting, though.

If he was caught on tape with another woman, I wouldn't fight him, just end it for good. Walk away never see him ever again. I would love to see the deer in headlights look on his face!

Ok I started seeing a guy here whom I gave a 2nd chance to. It was same thing different day. He just did not have the time in his day to pick up the phone to call. He text he a quick message once a week.

Weekends he would want to come over MAYBE for few hrs on a Sat night NEVER SUNDAY.

I happened to look at his profile said 0 roses can be sent.
I sent him one awhile back, I never got a rose. He said he can't control who messages him.

True, but with how unreliable he has bee with me no doubt in my mind--HE'S LOOKING at someone else! So if no roses I guess I stand by my previous word--he's taken--he's wooing someone else. Dealbreaker.

Any Coffee Addicts?
Posted: 11/12/2009 11:48:35 PM
I am like that dude who used to play Java Man on Mad TV. When the cost of coffee skyrocketed, I tried other things like hot chocolate and it didn't work.

I didn't have my 4 cups, then I went through DT's (withdrawals). I had a headache Tylenol could not help.

I am hooked on coffee. If I see free coffee or offered, I'm there like flies on you know what. Speedway cashiers know. I go in for Shockwave, which is coffee with the extra caffeine. Don't let me see an empty blue pot! I get the Cappuccinos too.

are women playing GOD when they become pregnant
Posted: 11/12/2009 12:21:00 PM
The only thing that drives me bats is pregnancy is NOT a handicap! Yet go to the store and see the growing number of expectant mom parking.

Both times I was pregnant the doc said walking and excercise is beneficial to labor.

Maybe some women think they are God when they have kids. But OP, on the other side of the coin, I did not make as much as he did, so I let him have my son. I thought of my son's benefit, sacrificing my true want which was my son.

With other women, it's a witch hunt cause God forbid I let him have the baby.

Sometimes I think women should be more supportive of each other rather than attacking each other. It wasn't that I did not want my son, I wanted the very BEST for him. Looks like I made a good decision, cause he has made honor roll few times. is an intern for Fire Dept, works, drives, dates---doing well! For my older son he was taken by his father who didn't want to work. I didn't want that man to have him. My older son is in Fla working for Walmart.

kids today and yesterday
Posted: 11/11/2009 10:22:25 PM
Just about all of the kids today have cell phones, we never had that, if they existed, my father would never pay a cell phone bill for me.

Yes, they are smarter but less creative than we were. My brothers built forts and go karts.

We got grounded, no tv. Today parents send them to their room where they have their tv, playstation, etc.

They are rude because parents laugh it off as "cute".

They'll come to work for the paycheck, not actually work. Boss seems to laugh it off.

Do you ever think about how much time you have left?
Posted: 11/11/2009 10:14:35 PM
I do think of how much time I have left. Maybe that is why I make it a point to go out on the weekends to do something enjoyable.

I also get so frustrated when a "date" is a no call no show. I don't want to sit all day waiting for someone who won't even be here.

Sure with my pension I pay into I can retire 20 yrs from now, but I might not figuring what if I live to be 90?

Seems with online dating it is just so easy to write someone off over the slightest imperfections. I don't do that. I will even admit I am not perfect. But seems the men here are that way.
