I am pretty much in the same boat but add her alcoholism to the mix.

Every time she speaks of African Americans she uses racial slurs. Knowing I'll never change her I change the subject.

Her and my dad both flipped learning my boyfriend 20 yrs ago was Chicano and my older son came of it. I still have to defend my son against ignorant comments

It happens alot. I stopped having guys over cause they see that as a sexual invitation.

I had one stock guy bug me in Walmart. I had no idea that not being married or not having a boyfriend he sees that as I have to be paired up with him (wrong answer I guess). I told that guy I was not interested in meeting someone but he persisted. I go to a different store now.

It isn't always the approach we give or the way we dress. I dress conservative, but when we come across as friendly, approachable, some men see that as being an easy lay.

I would say call the non-emergency. The only thing is they say we can be anonymous but the cops spill the beans and someone always has to leak out info.

For the barking dogs I thought I saw this website called something like stopmyneighborsbarkingdog.com it something along those lines I saw in the local paper.

Police don't like to deal with nuisance barking really and this website somehow sends an anonymous message to neighbors, maybe the police. People don't realize they can get fined for that as well as not picking up poop

I see alot of these college grads are only book smart. Doesn't seem to me that a degree makes one any better than one with a diploma.

In the wake of the recession I see them trying to take fast food and janitorial work just to get by. Teenagers are even getting displaced. Just ask mine who works at a hobby shop. They cut him down to 8 hrs a week to accomodate adults who were laid off.

When the adults find something better they'll be gone in a flash.

I have the same type of bathroom in my work area. I knew I really had the runs so I went in the student bathroom down the hall as a courtesy to the lady in the staff one.

They say we're all immigrants, that's bull! I am a Euro mutt! So many nationalities it isn't funny. My Grandpa cam here from Italy, did it the right way. My sis still has his passports. Grandpa worked the coal mines 12 hours a day with NO coffee breaks.

Give me 4 hours I garantee I'll be hollering for a coffee break!

One who started the rumor (cause I wouldn't give him none) again Glenbard North spread a rumor that I was a lesbian and all the school believed it.

Well he raped and robbed a woman twice his age and is now a prison btch!

i moved away from the preppies and jocks to Joliet and the kids weren't bad simply cause everyone just about was in the same boat. We weren't spoiled rich kids!

I just had trouble with a gym teacher who as an underage girl I rejected his sexual advances. He was a coach go figure. Athletics favor over academics in school. The following semester he labeled me a "trouble maker" He had me suspended and pulled from a gym class with a diff teacher. All I did was refuse to sleep with him

They seem to get a "high" off of bullying others. Maybe they are treated poorly at home.

I was victim of one in high school (Glenbard North). The foods teacher told me "I had to grow up". What happened, maybe it was a set up, this black girl(no offense sisters) spent the whole 45 minute class period hitting me. Not wanting to get in trouble for fighting I did not hit her back.

I dropped the class after that day. Everyone thought it was SO funny!!
It cost me a credit and high school in general has had a negative effect on me for the rest of my life.

Wait long enough to introduce your child. Too many creeps want to befreind a single mom to access her children.

Then when your child goes off to college like mine next fall, what will you do, sit and stare at the walls? My "baby" has always been a good kid, but now he is a young man, becoming scarce. It will be the same for your child down the road. We get old and no one wants us.

I would say no because the government will take half.

I now work about 15 hours a day, take Sunday off, 6 hours Sat.

Still spinning my wheels cause the more I earn the more they take.

I have a full time job, part time job, started my cleaning biz with Jan Pro (1 contract) cleaning a daycare 3 hrs a night x 5 days a week.

I don't make much in my biz yet but when I do I will quit the part time "job'.

I am a 40 y.o. woman.

Sorry but universal health care still scares me to death!

Is the government going to decide if we live, die, or get the care we need. If Nancy Pelosi agrees that too is scary.

Our government messes up every thing they touch. Public Aid, Medicaid, any of their programs treat people like cattle.

The only good thing about is is people have to carry their own insurance. Part of the reason health care is so high is we are also paying for those who can't pay their own.

In the '70s Ford made good cars IMO. I had a Ford Ranger, was a good truck. But in the '90s the Escorts were junk.

Seems to me like that happens to me alot.

I tend to forget the good times too. Maybe the guys have a better vision or memory. My ex even wanted to re marry me but I declined. He really cried. Not making fun of him or any man who cries. Men are still people and have emotions too even if they are big, tough, masculine

My cat is 12 yrs old, and I couldn't imagine putting him down cause he's old. He's healthy.

As long as the dog isn't in pain, no cancer, etc. I say leave her be if she's healthy. I want one of those shar peis.

Some people do not have children cause now who could afford to? Day care alone costs as much as a mortgage, then clothing, education, food, along with other living expenses.

Maternal instinct for me didn't kick in till I had them. We have to watch them like a hawk with pervs lurking around every corner.

I'm crazy about my sons. 2 of my favorite people. Not bragging but they are good kids, not meat heads. It's all in how they are raised.

I would date them. I believe in the paranormal. I haven't figured out that banging noise on the ceiling in my work area.

The sounds move in various places of the ceiling. If it was a ghost oh well. I just keep working. What ever it is it's harmless.

They put matching bracelets on Mom and baby, but it is up to the nurse in the maternity ward to pay attention.

Recently a woman's baby was switched at birth and she sued the hospital. I can't say I blame her(I don't).

We spend 9 months caring and carrying this baby and not all women take care of themselves while pregnant. Some drink, smoke. We don't know if something is medically wrong with the other baby.

Also with the wrong baby no one knows the true medical history.

They tear the place up like a bunch of wild animals. Someone dare not so much as leave a toilet seat up at their house.

That is why stores have restrooms for employees only and gas stations lock theirs. People act like pigs.

Why do women fall all over for serial killers like Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacy(late)?

Seriously they would marry someone who would rape their sons? I saw a couple on TV gave a child molester a place to stay thinking he was rehabbed. He tried something with their 5 yr old son.
It's not always risk free either cause they have people you know nothing about walking the streets. One guy was a con artist married different women in different states, emptied their bank accounts. One of them he killed when she found out what he was doing to her bank account and credit cards. He was featured on America's Most Wanted.

Also risk free? In prison AIDS runs rampant cause your SO is doing Bubba or Bertha.(homosexual relations)
