From one Northern Irish to another: More pics - try a variety! Not too many women are fond of the 'list' type profile, instead, write a few paragraphs and make sure they're logical and readable. You do smoke - that will eliminate a percentage of women from contacting you! You need more interests; at least 10 - 15. They are searchable! Add a few lines about the woman you want to meet; her traits, etc.

First; better photographs of YOU are required with at least one close-up of your face with a big smile! NEXT: Those walls of text will make anyone's eye bleed! Break it ALL down with logical and readable paragraphs. There's few people or women out there that will take the time to read what you have now. It's way too arduous! Same with the 'first date' section. Run your profile through MS Word or another similar programme and correct ALL spelling and grammatical errors the best you can. Remove all negativity within your profile; yes, it's there! You might wish to mention when you'll be 'home'. That way, you give women some kind of deadline. You do smoke; that will eliminate a good perecentile of those wishing to contact you.

Break up that massive wall of text into paragraphs. After each paragraph, hit enter twice. It will give your profile good white space and readability.

Use paragraphs instead of starting short sentences with the personal pronoun, I. Make sure the paragraphs are logical and readable. The fact you do smoke, will eliminate a good percentile of guys contacting you. Good selection of pics; great smile! Your first date is VERY much like a job interview process. I suggest yuou lose it and instead, mention a couple of places you like, a coffee house or something. Maybe it has great coffee and cake. Something like that.

A much better photo would be best when it comes to a main pic. One that's a close-up and with a SMILE, as the one you have now is simply just too serious and you look downright grumpy. Few women when seeing the main pic you have now, will want to click on your profile. Lose it ( main pic ) as I don't think it's conducive to your selling yourself. This: I don't bite, well not hard anyway!!! God, if I had a dollar for each time I read that on profiles! Lose that phrase, too... it's so over done and terribly cliche! Your profile states you're looking for good friends, yet you want to 'date'. Which is it? You're far better off stating 'dating' as many women are on this site to do just that!

Better photos are required, Dan, with one close-up at least, with a big smile! You need at least 10 interests. They are searchable. You seem to have missed that section entirely. In a few lines, tell the reader what type of woman you seek; her traits etc. Women will notice misspelled words and grammatical errors. IE: the personal pronoun I, is always capitalized. In essence, your profile isn't eye catching! Be creative! Spice things up a bit!

I think the hair colour suits you! That's MY opinion! It would be good if you had a few more pics; a variety and and least one close-up of your face with a smile! Women like to see a man's eyes, yanno... :) Interests: At least ten and separate each by a comma as they are searchable. You might wish to expand a bit about your self employment. What is it you do, etc. Mention how old the kids are and if they live with you, apart or whatever. The fact you do smoke, expect to be passed over by quite a few women.
