Duh.
What's with all these "woe is me, here's my sad tale" stories?
Be smart like me and have no friends nor money !
Problem solved...
BB
PS. I'm going to start a "woe is me, I'm bored, lonely, depressed, cold, shoeless, and hungry" thread. Please feel free to contribute on that thread as well.

Buying a Motorcycle: Question
Posted:
9/21/2009 11:13:13 AM
Don't bother getting the radio/CD option on bikes. Unless you plan on listening to it while washing your bike, you'll hear jack once you're in motion faster than about 70/80 kms/hr.
Just save that money and buy yourself an MP3 player/iPod instead (suggestion for earplug tunes is to only put in one plug, that way you have the other ear to listen to traffic around you).

Buying a Motorcycle: Question
Posted:

For the love of god, don't get a scooter.
Concerning insurance, shop around & tell them specifically what type of bike (year, model, engine displacement, etc) you plan on getting and they will be able to provide you with a quote. I can't speak for the HDs, but in my case, my bike was classed as a "supersport" (I think insurance co.s use that classification for any sport bikes over 1000 cc) and they required addition conditions before they would even cover me. It had to have an alarm that had 1) motion sensor, 2) engine kill, and 3) I can't remember what the 3rd criterion was. Thankfully, the factory installed alarm that came as an option for the bike at the time had met all three criterion.
Good luck man !

I think a good analogy for this would be:
You have a raspberry bush in front of your house. It produces more raspberries than you have ability to eat during the season. Someone else comes and takes some to make a pie. I want to emphasize that in no way can you ever eat all the raspberries that this bush can produce in a season...
So for those using this arguement to justify their actions, I suppose I could say this too:
"You have a wife/girlfriend whose sex drive surpasses yours. She's still in heat while you're satiated for the balance of the week. I should come around and satisfy her?"
BB
PS. I have to go now. My neighbor's gone to work and their empty swimming pool in their backyard has cholorine in it going to waste. I got to jump in, splash around, do a few laps before it goes to waste....

Is there an ideal way to die?
Posted:
7/9/2009 10:51:51 AM
For the guys, the old stand by joke has been "being an elderly man and having a heart-attack while fornicating with a much-too-young-for his-age gal".
Well, I suppose this other way would have to at least come in second place !
CAMDEN, N.J. — Authorities say a man has died after falling into a vat of melted chocolate in a New Jersey processing plant.
The Camden County prosecutor’s office identified the victim as 29-year-old Vincent Smith II of Camden. He was a temporary worker at the Cocoa Services Inc. plant.
The accident happened Wednesday morning as Smith was loading chocolate into a vat where it’s melted and mixed before being shipped elsewhere to be made into candy.
Prosecutor’s spokesman Jason Laughlin says a co-worker tried to shut off the machine and two others tried to pull Smith out of the 8-foot-deep vat. He was hit and fatally injured by the agitator that mixes the chocolate.
Cocoa Services hires a second company — Lyons and Sons — to do the mixing.

I'm getting stoked for this event !
I'm painting racing stripes on my lime green Vespa this weekend. I'm gonna have orange and red flames on the sides of my luggage compartments ! I'm certain that would add an extra 15 km/hr to the top speed of my Vespa for sure. That should get it up to 110 kms/hr to keep up with everyone else !

Motorcycle Singles Ride - is there enough interest?
Posted:

Oh Six !
It'll be your event, so make whatever plans you'd like. As a reference though, my thread had a date of saturday, May 9 and a breakie location of Wildrose Cafe (where we had breakie before the Toy Run) at 10:30am and a meeting spot of the Petro-Can across from the Ivory Club for those who didn't/couldn't make breakfeast. I also asked for a volunteer from CGY to host for the CGY group as far as a breakie spot & rally point goes as well.

Ok, can someone volunteer to host an Alberta POF bike ride for this year?
Apparently the thread which was in the sign-up section over this past weekend is now gone. I suppose that after three for three, it means that I am not allowed to host it.
Please, someone, step up and volunteer to host, I'd really like to see aother big gathering of POF bikers this year.

I've been drinking something called Achhh-Too-Oh.
It really works in quenching my thirst. The only negative that I have is that in the spring, once the snow melts, it tastes the same, but has a slight odor to it.
On the plus side, it's really, really inexpensive...

^^ I have no idea.
I know the request to have it moved to the event sign up thread page was read by the moderator but it was never moved. I think he just made an error as there was 2 event thread for another event but none for mine.
Notwithstanding, I'm giving up on making the 3rd Annual POF Bike Meet in Red Deer an event sign up thing. I'm just going to make another post on it later on with all the details and people can just contribute to the thread and show up if they wish, rather than "sign up" for it.

Alright people. Stop your whining and worrying and just learn to beat the system. Be proactive.
I fully intend to destroy my body so my organs will be of no use to anyone.
Starting tomorrow, I will eat nothing but greasy fast food meals. I will also stroll down 118th and utilize the sexual services of the crack whores there (after all, the government advocates we shouldn't worry about the economy and we should spend, spend, spend !). I will also give up any form of exercise and my sports activities to help my body deteriorate quicker. Additionally, I'll take up smoking and heavy binge drinking. Don't want those slimey **stards taking my lungs nor liver.
Am I missing anything else on my checklist? I want to be proactive on this one...

Finger Pointing - SOMEONE take responsibility
Posted:
2/26/2009 9:39:49 PM
After much after thought and deliberation, I've changed my opinion and have found the true culprit to blame in this tragedy.
It's not the psychics. I ultimately blame the Chinese government.
If those damn immigrant workers had done their jobs properly back in the 18th century and flatten the whole Rocky Mountains instead of just a single line for a railroad track, we wouldn't have the desolate wastelands for those poor skiers to get lost in some 200 years later.
I say we sue the ass off the Chinese government ! Let's all get our fair share of prirated Blu-Ray movies or whatever they'll throw as compensation our way !
Dibs on the new T2 on Blu-Ray coming out in May...

I point my finger at psychics.
They are the omniscient gifted individuals among us and they failed to inform the authorities to start a rescue. How selfish.
I also blame them for failing to inform of cashing out my RSPs at the market peak last summer and my subsequent precipitous decline in paper value of said item. I really should start a class action suit against all psychics now that my early retirement plans have been derailed...

However, if I did not have a garage, just buy a small area rug, then put your bike on that in a spare bedroom in the house.
