Why Are Over 45 Men In Love With Motorcycles?
Posted:

I don't think that it is men over 45 with motorcycles, I think it is mens interest in machinery. As a bachlor I've always had a motorcycle. Yes i'll be the first to admit that they are hard to see and dangerous. But there is just the fun of biking around mountain roads or through a desert where you feel as though you are merging with the environment. Very similar the flying a low-level high speed run in an aircraft. I'm not going through a mid-life crisis I just like bikes and sports cars.

My last POF contact was ............... starting to concern me.
Maybe I'll get a contract in Iraq, It may be safer then dating.
Actually, defusing UXB's in third world shitholes, is probably safer then dating.

Kill a home invader... murder or self defense?
Posted:
1/22/2008 7:52:30 PM
If someone breaks into my home, I don't think they are there to give my living room a new coat of paint. If I can take them out silently, and my neighbors don't hear anything they're going to just disappear without a trace. I really don't want to deal with the Police, the DA, or the legal system. Murder is premeditated homicide with malice before thought period......
I don't need a firearm, more people have been killed by edged weapons then firearms. Most men lately have no intestinal fortitude, what they need is a few months in a hostile environment. I think that every man should have to run for his life at least once in his life. If the crimminals knew that breaking and entry could be a Darwinism, i'm sure that crime would drop drastically.

The majority of the police have a s versus them mentality. that's great in a combat zone. but if you treat the general public like that you are essentially declaring war on them. yes the police and the SWAT teams have all kunds of really neat looking gear, and they generally do intimidate the gneral public. they do a great job of busting amatuer crimminals and scaring civilians. but what would happen if they theatened a guy who has seen the elephant. let's say they busted the wrong house and scared a guy just back from Afghanastan. I'm over fifty and I'm sure I can still do a five hundred meter head shot and avoid detection.......the flashing lights and squad cars are really bright and visible.....Lots of guys think that the badge, sidearm, and vest make them ten ee tall and bulletproof......well it dosen't............I was never really afraid of the rank and file BG's, It was the snipers with their Dragnakovs that scared me....

Demise of America - lack of apprentices
Posted:

When i was in High School I did Aeronautical sheet metal shop, machine shop, and foundary. Before I got my Engineering degre I had to fabricate some of my projects in the machine shop. Actually my graduating class in '78 could probably fabricate anything that society needed back then with the exception of IC chips,
Nowadays that is not the case, we have gone to an information technology, with everything being manufactured in china with slave Labor.
I really did like tinkering with my projects in the machine shop, and debugging them. But gone are the days.

The people that lived 100+yrs ago were tough SOB's
Posted:
12/26/2007 3:17:29 PM
Yeah they were tough SOB's, but remember back then the weaklings didn't survive infancy. Also they were a lot hardier. I think that our technology plays a role in our softness. Look at our contemporary scociety. We punish the producers and reward the nonachievers. If you can work your ass off and produce, it gets taxed away from you. Why should I work, and have my assets stolen? why should I produce more then 2.5 children ? I've lugged 100 pound packs through the jungles, treked across deserts, and been on the Polar ice Pack, yet I don't think i'm tough.
A few weeks ago I had a long talk with a twenty year old kid. I was telling him that I thought that kids today are no were near as tough as they were when I was in High School, much less as tough as when i was in the Military. He didn't even blink, he said "Today they are all raised by women". Basically the feminization of society. I'm over fifty right now, but i think i can still grab my AWOL bag, my FN-FAL, jump on my bike and disappear in the mountains for a month or so, even in this Colorado winter. And no i'm not a mountain man.

Gee, now I know I'm normal.
I've turned down sex for every reason mentioned. In reality I am very cautios and basically a chicken. Asside from the obvious of her being chemically impaired, not my type, unhealthy, unbalanced, or either of us physically not up to it. There is SCARY,,,,, Some women may be in excellent health (physically) drop dead gorgeous, and smart as a whip,,, but something tells you that she is nuts.
I almost married a woman like that. With the school of hard knocks; first comes the test, then comes the lesson.
Not to mention, if you get involved, her problems become your problems.

Has Anyone Ever Been Interrupted By A Pet During Sex?

Years ago I dated a woman that had a Miniture Spitz, he went everywhere with her, when she came to my house he had free reign. Well one day she comes over all upset about work and said she needed some lovin Right Now. So off to bed we went....She started really getting loud, louder then usual. Well her dog comes running into the bedroom. Jumps up on the bed, and bites me on the ass. She had both legs wrapped around me and I couldn't move. Luckely the blanket saved my rear. I'm trying to shake him off, and she's really getting into it. I wound up with bruises and we both had a good laugh.......She kept the blanket....

Just for fun: What was your first car?
Posted:
7/7/2007 12:28:27 AM
I purchased my first car in 1978 while stationed in Kalifornia.
My car was a Ochre 1978 Datsun 260-Z. I got it for under $3,000. It didn't last me more then a few months, I wrecked it on ice in Wyoming on my way to MinotAFB, ND.
Demolished the car, but I limped away alive. A few months later I went out and got a Datsun 280-Z, that one was wrecked in Texas by a drunk, and I walked from that one too. I currently own another Datsun 280-Z, and a Bradley GTII.

To the best of my knowlefge Adultery is a crime, but a crimminal offense. It's probably more of a tort action. I used to deal with a Private Investigator and he says that 90+ % of his work is just chasing cheating spouses. It's kind of like a character flaw of our society. I have a best friend in Texas in the slammer because of his wifes infidelity. The other guy got an acute case of fatal lead poisioning.

Men over 30, unmarried no children
Posted:

I'm over fifty, and have never been married, and have no children. You have no idea of how many times I've been interogated by various women, and grilled by relatives. I went on active duty as soon as I got my degree, and I got the worst asignment they could offer. After I got off of active duty I traveled extensively, owned a business, traveleed somemore, and lived in various locations. And otherwise had a very adventurous, fun abd terror filled life. I was an adreneline junkie living on the edge. My life was different. I also saw the world in a different light and was very cynical. My cynicism pushed me to the point where 'this world is really messed up, do I really want to subject children to this ' ? The concept of a wife always appealed to me. But I was not going to make any mistakes. I'm an engineer and look towards Zero Error Mode. I do my best not to let my little head make my important decisions. I've seen lots of divorces.
My career is very important, but as an engineer there is no job security 'Project over, there's the door........' So I don't use that as a major excuse.
And Yes I have met wonderfull women. And I even met the ideal woman in church of all places [Deceased now]. But I haven't given up.
I just live my life as best as I can, I'ts my business and no one elses.

Carrying Concealed Weapons (CCW)
Posted:
6/18/2007 2:49:54 PM
I reside in Colorado and have a CCW. I usually do carry a concealed weapon, and not a little mouse gun either. I had my permit long before the 'Shall Issue' clause. It was a series of hoops to jump through, but i think it was worth it. If you order for a pizza, call for a cab, or dial 911,Who do you think gets there first ? First off I must say that the police do an admirerable job. But, The police can't be everywhere, and I really don't don't want to live in a Police State ( although I see it coming). When you qualify for your CCW you have to demonstrate proficiency with a handgun. Most CCW holders are several orders of magnitude better then the local PD. There are some excellent shot in the PD's, but they are the exception. Most people are trained to shoot for center of mass, snap shot, use only your front sight. If you can double tap. Somebody mentioned shoot someone in the leg and they fall down and throw up. No they don't. He's been watching too much Hollyweird ,I 've seen lots of people shot, and some of them were still pretty dangerous after a few hits . Shoot someone through the heart and they can still kill you. One of the groups I was in had us do head shots, A triangle from eye to eye with the apex at the center of the mouth. It worked everytime, [stopped all motor function]but this is far in excess of the skill of most. If someone confronted me with the intent to do me bodly harm, if I don't shoot them they are still going to wind up dead. The handgun is merely a tool, the mind is the weapon.

If you've noticed there as a whole lot of ads for ED medications advertised. you will also notice that lttle girls are curvier today. What does one have to do with the other. Estrols. They used to use them to fatten up cattle in the feed lots. I'm not sure if they still do, but it is in our environment. Estrols oppose the action of Androgens, so you can make a suppposition. Also the effect of hydrocarbons has yet to be determined.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH COUNTRY MUSIC?
Posted:
5/13/2007 2:45:20 PM
I resided in North Dakota and Texas for years, and I've heard all types of music: from classical to gamillon, and rock to the blues I kind of like Western type music, but Country & Western can be plain depressing, just like the blues. He done her wrong, She done him wrong, They're doing it wrong, Somebodies getting drunk, moms going to prison, the dog got hit by a pickup truck in the rain........
If life were this bad the only thing to do is eat a bullet.

Classical music
Posted:
5/13/2007 2:39:43 PM
I have lots of music in my collection. I have cassettes I haven't listened to since the 70's. But my favorite music is classical. especially Bach )what can you expesct, I'm Lutheran). When I am at home I listen primarily to Tango or Classical music. I won't list what my fsvorites are because that varies from week to week. At the end of June I will be in Cement Park southwest of Denver providing concussion for the '1812 Overture' by Tchaikovsky, It's a blast. normally I fire a three inch rifle . Last time we had 25 pieces of Artillery on line, and yes the music was fantastic even through the ear plugs. As a Pyrotechnician, the absolute bliss would be the firing of the mortars for Handels 'Music for Royal Fireworks'.
You can call me a snob if you like, but I do consider classical music more refined, elegant and classier then the filth you hear walking down the street these days. Now let me make lunch and settle down to some nice 'Gregorian chants'.

Ethnic Pride and PCism
Posted:
5/11/2007 4:29:30 PM
I do my best not to rot my brain with PC television. I believe that Political Correctness is going to be our downfall. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Any and every ethnic group was there. I think that everyone should recognize and respect the ethnicity of others. My High School was more diverse then the UN. The major thing I remember about ethnicity was whose holiday was when and what food was I going to pig out on. I believe that honoring your ethnicity is one thing, but don't let your pride be your downfall. I am not and have never been a racist, if I have something against someone it's more substantial then race or ethnicity.
Now I'm going to prepare an asian meal, have a shot of scotch, put on some middle-eastern music, and later on tonight I will dance the Argentine Tango.

The only involvement I can see is dailing 911. That's what the police are paid for. Taking down the average guy is relatively easy, but having her attack you from behind can be deadly. I figure a gunfight with armed robbers is probably safer then a domestic dispute.

What Do You Guys Think Of This Situation?
Posted:
5/4/2007 2:41:57 AM
We're only hearing your side of the situation. But from what you've stated she sounds like a first class flake. Consider this a lesson in school of hard knocks. Normally first comes the test and then comes the lesson. Sure it hurts, but you got off light. Right now you're in an emotional world of hurt.... You haven't invested too much time and you probably aren't taking a financial beating. As you go through life you are going to fall down, that doesn't count. What counts is you get up every time and keep on plugging along. Just forget and move on. Don't waste your time or effort on her....

I've passed that half centuryt mark and my attitude towards driving as I've matured is the same as my attitude towards VLCC on the open sea, Wide Berth. I've been in more then my share of accidents. Now I just do the avoidance if I can. I have two 2-seat sportscars and a motorcyle. I figure if I can put down a plane in bad weather at an unfamiliar airport at night I'll keep driving at night. But now I am several orders of magnitude more cautious then during my ill spent youth.

Single (never married at all) men over 45

I'm 51 and have never been married. When I say single, I mean never married.A few weeks ago a lady at my church was shocked when I told her I had never been married. Like its weird to be my age and never married? And the grief I get from my family.
I 've been in relationships but it never worked out. I'm all for marriage, I just don't want to make a mistake.
My youth was spent doing lots of traveling to strange and unusual places, I craved the excitement and adventure. Actually I'm surprised that i've survived this long.
I did meet the ideal woman some time ago, but she died. That's life and God knows it really ain't fair. So I'll just keep plugging along.

Why didn't the US Army go after Bin Laden
Posted:
4/5/2007 9:57:35 PM
Will the real Osama bin Laden please stand up. What do you do if you snatch somebody? You take a picture of them holding todays newspaper. That proves that they are alive, or at least that the body hasn't started to putrify. I interviewed a guy a few months ago. He was in AC, I told him that in SAC we used ti say "Happiness is 70tons of bombs on your DTZ". He told me that they bombed Tora Bora around the clock with massive air stikes. So if he is dead, has anybody proved that he is alive ? Let us look at some facts: during the Soviet War in Afghanistan the Army couldn't defeat they Mujahadian, the Soviets sent in Spetznatz. Well Spetznatz was winning, and the majority of the Mujahadian were hiding in Pakastan. Then they were given Stingers. Well after they started shooting down helicopters and Spetnatz could not be resupplied the Soviets left. Well the US pounded Tora Bora around the clock for a few weeks. What's the chance of a cohort hidding in a tunnel surviving, and digging themselves out ? Oh didn't Osama require a kidney dialysis machine ?

I just hope everybody that views this site lives for the next twenty years, so they can see all of the declassified KH-13 Recon Sat photos. This Iraq situation is a mess due to the 'Fifth Columnist' in this country. my profession is Engineering not history, but i study history as a hobby. Back when i was in the military we knew about the wahabists and there views. they want have the whole world converted to Sheria so that their twelfh caliphant can arise. Saddam Hudsein was a secular Muslim, but he was still a Muslim. He was worldly but he wanted to distroy Isreal. the last time there was a lot of trouble in the Muddle east was during the reign of the 'Ottoman Empire'. they were politically incorrect and did not tolerate limp-wristed weak kneed tactics. They took care of the problem and eliminated it. I do not believe that lies and deception lead to this war, I think it is the result of the extreme hatred of the western culture, mass communication, and petro-dollars.
Yes there are lots of people over there who advocate extreme violence, there are a lot of fundementalist Christians that do to, but they know what will happen to them if they act on their impulses.
One thing that always gets to me [I've spent time in the Islamic sphere of Influence] is that these left leaning, bleeding heart, appesment, Hollyweirdtypes is that under a true Sheria type system they would be the first eliminated. the original Koran was not written in Arabic, but Aramic there is a real BIG difference.
I just hope that I live long enough to see these fifth colomnist who are acting to the detriment of our troops get whats coming to them.
Just remember what happened afte 'The Tet Offensive' back in 1968.

Does an illegal immigrant deserve the same respect as a legal immigrant/citizen?

You can call me a hard ass, But I think our border defense is one big bad joke. Back during the good old days when our Primary Enemy was the Soviets I remember when i was in Austria we knew exactly where the Chzekoslovakian Border was. It was clearly marked by fences, minefields, and very antisocial people with politically incorrect weapons watching us. I don't think that we need a fence along our southern border, just a bunch of land mines. Don't twll me that we can't deport illegal aliens because there are too many of them, how many people did the Germans relocate during the early '40's. What we need are politicians with some interstinal fortitude. I think that an illegal immegrant deserves the basic respect that all humans get, he can just get it somewhere else. I don't advocate violence against them, god knows i've seen more then my share of violence for several lifetimes, and i hope to never witness a violent act again. But we need to secure our borders and as my friends on the other side of the pond say"Auslander Raus".

Dating is a Modern Disaster, Why it fails us today.

I really don't think that dating is failing society, as much as people of both sexes today are in such turmoil. The concept of dating is a fairly new one. Through out most of history marriages have been arranged, set-up or coerced. This Pepsi-Generation Romance is fairly new. I really wonder do people today really do as well for themselves as they could ?

How Far Do You Go For a Friend of the Opposite Sex?

Seven years is a long time to know someone and still be good friends. When I say friend I mean friend. God knows my froends have called on me under some pretty dire conditions. Can she control herself to the extent of not having a drink ? What is the worse that can happen ? Ypu know I don't. If ot were not a good friend I'd say head for the hills. But I think that she is, So just consider it the price of friendship. You never know you may enjoy yourself. Keep a positive attitude.

Will there be a world war III?

When the majority of my fellow college students were smoking pot, listening to limp wristed, anti-American, usefull idiots under the guise of progressive education I was part of the US Military. After I put my four years on active I disappeared for a while and did extensive travel. In North Africa and South East Asia I had dealings with lots of people, lots of hostile people who are opposed to our Western way of life and thinking. And yes they were violently hostile. Yje press in this country keep us very well entertained, but poorly informed. In the 90's I used to attend ontellegence briefings, and back then the hand writimg was on the wall and I don't mean ' MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN ' . The Islamics have been a torn in the side of Western civilization since the Crusades. They gave the British Empire no shortage of grief. During the apex of their power the controlled Spain, got as far as Vienna, and gave the Italians heartburn. The present problem in Yugoslavia is the result of the lack of Tito's hand , yes it was a heavy hand, but violence was needed to keep them in check. Kamal Attaturk didn't get them to behave as he modernized Turkey by using soft words. So get a world map, look at all of the problems presently and you decide. We lost more people on 9/11 then we did at Pearl Harbor. The major difference today is that we have far too many limp wristed ,spineless, fifth columnist bad mouthing the West. There will always be war, but this is an unconventional conflict. I believe that even after someone on his quest for 72 virgins parks a UPS truck in downtown USA with a leftover SS-18 warhead in it there will still be fifth columnist urging us to just sit down and talk. Unfortunetely we are at war right now.

Potential riots in France...... Why?
Posted:
10/25/2006 5:21:53 PM
The riots are not potential, they are having them right now. It seems to me that the French let a lot of people in from you know where to add to the labor pool. To support the cradle to grave social programs with a lowered birthrate These Moroccans, and Algerians were glad to be in France, higher standard of loving, more freedom. Their children on the other hand did not assemilate. They don't speak French, they have no job skills, and face it the French economy isn't that strong. So they hear mad Mullahs in the madrasses and they have lots of free time. I was in France some time ago, and from what I saw they knew how to put down a riot. I think that the french givernment has lost its resolve, no they've just turned spineless and gutless. They want to be politically correct. There is a time to employ violence. I would not use tear gas and rubber bullets, I would be throwing 68gr slugs at 3200fps ansddeporting the survivors. There are times to go Roman.

Air America files bankruptcy! YES!!!!

AirAmerica didn't die because of it's political views, it died because of it's presentation. I lean as far right as possible, and I used to listen to AirAmerica just to hear their drivel. I really think that Al Franken should have uped his meds. Here in these here United States we have the right to say as we please wuth no interference from the government. Even in this time of war 'Usefull Idiots' not to be named are encouraging the Wahabists the same way the fifth columnist did during the Southeast Asian Olympics. General Gaip himself stated that the fifth columnist in this country are what kept the Vietnam War in process long after the 1968 Tet Offensive. With all of the spinless, gutless, usefull idiots in the fifth column in this country I would not be surprised if this war doesn't last for several generations. If you doubt me just check European History. Mankind hasn't changed, we just have better weapons. As for AirAmerica, one less #$&*%@*![$ on the @$$ of civilization.
