I also came to the undertsanding, it wasn't what I did or didn't do. And nothing others do is because of you. It is a projection of their own reality. And when we see others as they are without taking it personally we can never be hurt by what they do.They lie because they are afraid. They also lie to themselves. Save yourself alot of emotional pain. And if someone isn't treating you with Love and respect, itis a gift they walk away from you. She couldn't talk to you, so she walked . Like in my situation, was done in a e-mail. never heard from him since. Did say he will call. Do not expect people to tell you the truth because they also lie to themselves. You have to trust yourself and choose to believe what someone says to you. They lie because they are afraid. They are afraid that you will discover that they aren't perfect. If other say one thing and do another, you are lying to yourself if you don't listen to their actions. I too got hurt, so I understand where your coming from. After a couple months of healing now, I see it as a gift that he walked away from me.
