IM turns me ON!
Posted:

I personally like that im has been turned off. Half the time it didn't work for me anyway. I would sit for awhile before I could actually connect! Sending an email to another member seems to be working just fine. If they read it and don't answer that tells me that we were not compatable. Just pick up and move on to the next. I have made a great many friends and have had better luck with the emails.
It gives you an chance to think and put together a nice email instead of just HI and the akward moments afterwards thinking " oh no now what do I say?" LOL
I usually chat for awhile through emails before I give out my msn or yahoo addy. I have a messenger that is completly seperate from the rest of my personal life. With my screen name.
If you don't want to take the time to put the person on your MSN or Yahoo then just email back and forth. Once your both on at the same time youwould be surprised at how fast the emails go back and forth.
I am on POF more now than I was before checking emails and sending out emails. Alot more fun personally.
Thanks so much for turning IM off.

Could you be in a relationship with a long haul truck driver?

From a Ex trucking wife views. No way could I do that again . Was married to one for 20 years. Raised the kids on my own may as well have been a single mom. He was not on the emergency contact list for the school. He was never home due to his job.
The trucker is gone for way to long. Gone for at least 2 weeks and maybe home for 3-5 days that is alot of time gone. The first day is Always spent sleeping and relaxing. Then maybe working on the honey do list. Or complaining that the wife is off doing her thing cause she is used to being alone and has found work or volunteer work to fill her lonely hours when her trucker husband is gone. When they come home they don't understand the things that have been going on in the household. They are not there for the important times, birthdays, valentines day, anniversaries, gratuations etc.
The leave raising the children to the wives and when the wives don't do it the way they belive they should it causes lots of trouble.
Sure you make good coin but can that be compaired to all the things you miss? Who teaches you child to ride a bike? who teaches you son about the facts of life? or even to throw a baseball?? It usually lands on the wife's shoulders.
How about if something goes wrong in the house. Broken pipe? who deals with it? the wife / s/o. If a family member passes away and the wife/ s.o. needs someone to lean on the trucker can't be there. My father passed away and my ex trucking husband did not get home for 5 days afterward. Missed the funeral! Most of the time the trucker is days away from home and just can't get there to deal with the situation !
Yes I do know that there are lots of lot lizards out there not just in economically challenged cities. The temptation is always there sometimes it can be resisted and sometimes it can't. Many not all but many truckers have a gal in at least one other city to spend time with. It is a fact
I know that this will upset the trucker's out there but it is just my opinon and my experience. I do know alot of truckers and have talked with them on this subject quite a bit!!!

Just wonder guys. Does miles between you and a interested party have a big part in you contacting or wanting to contact her?
I live about an hour from the nearest city, and with the price of fuel I can not get in to the city as often as I would like. I have had some interested parties but when they find that I am an hour away then run for the hills. LOL
Whats your opinon on this?
