The publican's alternative budget is a huge joke

It Amazes me.... even at this point..... that the shameless supporters of the disgraced Republican party still come on here to defend the same BS that got us here in the first place.

The only reason we're even discussing bailouts, TARP, saving the home owners, unemployed, Auto makers, and the record deficits is because the People YOU ALL SUPPORTED have BENT this country over backwards with their Borrow and Spend non-sence!

Its one thing to borrow to make your own country better, but to put this country in massive debt under the guise of giving some other country freedom...... who dont even want our brand of freedom in the first place.

No Bin Laden.
No Freedom in Iraq.
No Peace in Afghanistan.
No Trickle Down Economic Success.

but what did we get????

More Blowhard bullshit from the right.
More De-regulation.
More Lies about the state of our economy like not including lil things like the two Bleeding wars to affect the budget numbers.

And now providing nothing but utter failure in every department the republicans claimed the championed they have the nerve to come with 2 nice blue covers filled with talking points, BUT NO FREAKIN SOLUTION TO THE HOLE THEY DUG FOR ALL OF US!!

The Republicans remind me of a line in a recent movie trailer:
"National Security meets Absolute Stupidity!"

But determined not to be undone by their former leader, The continue , well after his departure to offer NOTHING in the ways of solution to the crisis, but to oppose every idea for the sake of partisanship.

Their idea of helping is like passing a bucket of gasoline to a man trying to put out the fire they set for him.

The one good thing that will come of all this is that they will commit political suicide with all their nonsence heading into 2010 and beyond.
The independent party will rise to fill the gap, much like mammals did after the demise of the dinosaurs and for the same reasons.........
One will evolve and adapt, and the other will die clutching onto the old way's.

Truth be Told, The GOP deserves to DIE as a party for all they have done to this country, and the voters left, right, and center are no longer so blinded by fear of terrorist threats to ignor the BS any more.

Where is my gas money and mortgage payment?
Posted: 2/22/2009 4:31:52 PM

Wassup Blacksheep...long time my friend.
This bailout package is only the beginning of what our liberal friends want. They want to control every aspect of our lives. They want to control the corporations...the housing markets..who gets what and when...
I am not liking the direction the obama is headed. Soon it will be another few trillion here and more over there.
To the liberal mind it is ok to put us even further down the hole...I thought the obama was going to fix the economy? It is looking like his so called fix will be a flop. Our kids and grandkids are going to be paying for the new socialism headed our way.
Everyone wants something for nothing...bottom line is simple...if you can not afford a house...do not buy one!
Barney Frank made sure the banks and mortgage companies gave out easy money to folks they knew could not make the payments...now the obama wants to help them keep something they could not afford in the first place...
This whole bailout is a sham and a way for the obama and the liberals to head into socialism...

The Republicans created an extraordinary deep financial hole among other things which will require equally extraordinary tactics to climb this country out of.

I dont believe this will hurt out children in the long run since something is bound to come out of this stimulus that will put America back on the map like the invention of the car and plane did all those years ago.

Perhaps the petroleum free car engine.

When we return to leading the world in righteousness the world will reward us by paying their money for our inventions and inginuity.

Where Did it Go?
Posted: 2/20/2009 3:35:08 PM
I've been away for a lil bit but somethings never seem to change on here.

bush did know that there were problems but remember, the democrats have controlled the house since '04. this is under his watch but it freddie mac, fannie mae and democrats legislating quotas for home loans that's ground zero in this whole mess. you should really get over this bush bashing obsession and start trying to get some facts.

Democrats gained control in 06' not 04'!
And even then they only had slim majority in the Senate (51), which is hardly filabuster proof.

So much for "facts", lol

Look at the brightside though, now the Dems have 58 in the Senate, by Nov. 2010 they will break 60 and put an end to the "Party of NO" obstructionists the Useless GOP has become.

As for oversight, everyone with a computer and internet service will oversee this new stimulous package for the people, by the people!

Alot better than Bush's "for the banks/corporations at the expense of the people".

Dmotz, Long time man, hows it going?

WHATS LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT?
The obama has been promising to save the failed economy...promising to help people keep their homes...
If he can save the economy by giving welfare to people....if he can let someone who NEVER should have bought a home in the first place...keep it...
Then we are all in trouble.
Those who are good ,decent and hardworking...who pay their bills every month..who do the right thing are going to suffer because of those who do not.
If a person actually needs the help...give it to them...everyone needs help from time to time...
But to help those who will not help themselves is going to cost us trillions.
Why give money to ACORN?

C'mon man, are you seriously listening to Michelle Bachman (R) MI.??
Its amazing to me she managed to squeak through re-election and I can gaurantee she wont be so lucky next time around, lol.

There is Zero (0) stimulus money going directly to Acorn! They have a opportunity to apply for a share for specific neighborhood rebuilding projects the same way you or I also have the opportunity to apply.

Dont use simple logic, think outside the box, I bet alot more "Red Staters" will bennifit from the stimulous since the places where jobs were outsourced from seem to be largely from Red States.

If a Plant closes in NY, no one really notices, but if a plant closed in KS??? Hmmmmmm.

Changes to Forums.
Posted: 9/17/2008 10:31:49 AM
The main reason, I come on POF was for the political forums, and that’s what has kept me here since 2005!

This is a very bad decision as I'm sure is being made evident by the rest of the posters on this thread.

I seen the same thing happen on another dating I used to go to which also had a politics forum, and which also coincidently closed it down before the 2004 elections.
(I don’t log on there anymore, and neither do a lot of people I know who were involved on that site)

Please reconsider your decision and let’s get these forums going again.

Who got one of the Obsession DVD's in their Sunday Paper?
Posted: 9/17/2008 6:54:56 AM
I say the solution to things which are done in the shadow of night is to bring them to the light of day. this forum is a good start but everyone who received one of these DVD's shoud make a copy and send one to your local news stations along with your views on why its being done.

if enough people from enough states simultaniously send these to their local news along with comments the major news media will pick up the story too.

Hell..... make more than one copy, send one to local news, send one to CNN, and send one to the Barack Obama campaign too along with the names of who's producing and distributing this crap and the papers that willing allowed this.

Lets get this out of the forums and make it a major news story nationwide based on the outrage of the American people who dont want fear tactics being used, and the politicizing of 9/11 and terror to scare up votes.

Palin and Biden Revealed on CNN. What do you think?
Posted: 9/15/2008 4:34:50 PM
Thank you both (chl and Nona) for taking me out of context and half quoting me, not that I expected anything less.

I know this though, come November I will laugh last and best

This back and forth is all you guys have left, and you’re gonna have years of bytching coming up when Barack gives your boy McCain the spanking he so righteously deserves.

Obama/Biden 08'-16' and beyond.

Debates are coming, all the lies and bullshit will come to dramatic end soon enough.
Especially when Palin has to see Biden on the VP debates!
Talking points will be useless, scripted speeches out the window, and McCain/Palin will finally have to answer to the American people about the lies they’ve been spewing and the bush administration policies they plan on continuing.

Ok…you don’t know what the X-files is…that’s actually a good thing. Of course I understand that the X-files have absolutely nothing to do with ANYTHING plaguing our country…basically the equivalent to what you were stating. If you truly cared about what is plaguing our country…you would not be advertising Obama as if he is the next anti-christ…for if he is elected…one can rest assured that he will do nothing but plague our country further into debt while of course bowing down to terrorists.

Obama is a terrorist supporter, Obama is the anti christ, Obama will ruin the economy.............
You forgot he's a muslim, racist, pedofile, sexist, hates america, hates freedom, is an elitest, Blah Blah Blah blah blah.

Has the Bush administration absolutely drove our country into debt along with the current Congress Representatives? OF COURSE THEY HAVE! You also forgot all the democrats who have approved many measures brought forth in reference to our current economy, where I did not vote for President Bush, I for one am intelligent enough to understand that it takes far more than President Bush to achieve the wretched economy we currently have. With capitalistic societies there is always joblessness/homelessness as well as Debt. This comes along with our particular type of society which our country wants. Could it be better? Of course it can but place the blame where it belongs and this is Washington DC as a whole..not just President Bush. That would sound much more intelligent as well as believable at least to those of us who understand how Congress works.

Yes explain to me how the republican controlled house, republican controlled senate, and the republican white house cant do what what they want?
in the last 7+ years exaclty how much power do the democrats have to oppose.
Last time i checked the democratic majority is only by one as in 51, and to make bill veto proof or knock down a bad bill, you need a majority of 60....
How convenient of you to absolve the republicans of the first 6 years and blame the democrats with less than 2 years and no veto proof majority?

But of course in your opinion I dont know government works,

Well….it’s obvious you are good at utilizing “google” and my reply to this statement is that the troops who have actually been in the war and did their time there have every right to state as they please, they unlike yourself have earned that right you however, have not.

You are not the "decider" of my rights to speak on any topic. I'll thank you to remember that.

That is your opinion...I do accept that, however, what is more retarded is focusing on "conspiracy theories" as
compared to "actual" issues at hand. I bet you watch the X files too!

You keep talking about conspiracy theories and watching X File's???

Why is that? I offered no conspiracy theories, and I dont watch the X Files, sorry never really been a fan of that show. I dont know what X Files has to do with ANYTHING plaguing this country what so ever, but you will use it several more times as filler and distraction from the issues that I laid out.

Wow...Im the reason there is joblessness/homelessness and people in debt? I AM A TYRANT! I got news for ya bud..
these things exist due to the fact that we live in a capitalistic society not because I think your conpiracy theories
are funny and you watch the X-files. One more thing here....of course Bin Laden is the ONLY muslim extremist
in the world! lol

I said evidence of the mentality that has led to the problems we have.

Capitalism is not the reason for record job loss, a ballooning deficit, the failure of the housing market, and this war in Iraq is the direct result of Corporate GREED, Corruption, and Deregulation of industries and financial institutions.

Bin Laden is supposed to be the guy who mastermind the 9/11 attacks,
in the words of Bush "dead or alive", then it was "I dont think much about him anymore"???????
If he's one of 10000 terrorists in the world, he's still the ONE we should have taken out FIRST!

I did not state that you had to leave it's just your type will always leave or run when faced with actually
performing something for your own country as compared to spewing out "conspiracy theories" which do not make
sense. What are you going to do? Theorize facism to death? Hey,,it might work,,,write your local Congressman/woman
TODAY!!!!!

You just sound more ignorant by the minute! "My type" explain to me how you know what my type is??
I'll tell you what my type is, when 9/11 happened I wasn’t running from, I was hauling ass towards Manhattan after the first tower dropped to see if i could join in the rescue effort.
So much for your cowardice theories, what did you do on 9/11?

As far a Fascism goes, I found this below:

Fascism is a totalitarian nationalist political ideology and mass movement that is concerned with notions of cultural decline or decadence, and which seeks to achieve a millenarian national rebirth by exalting the nation or race, as well as promoting cults of unity, strength and purity.

Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, militarism, totalitarianism, dictatorship, populism, collectivism, statism, social interventionism, and economic planning. In addition, fascism opposes capitalism, communism, liberalism, democratic socialism, and reactionary conservatism (taking into account that fascists made alliances with conservatives more often than other groups and that some fascists associated with conservatism such as self-proclaimed Hungarian fascist Gyula Gömbös). Though nationalist in nature, fascist movements have sought alliances with each other in different countries on common beliefs, such as opposition to communism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

There ya go again..theorizing....is this a repetitive thing with you?

For someone who complains about my "Theorizing", you sure do a lot of it yourself

First off...you do not know my quote
"party"

And I don’t give an Ass Rats what your party is, Party is not important, The People of this country (All the People) are.

Second....why are you as a able bodied male complaining about the war? You would have the right to complain
if indeed you were over in the war as a able bodied male, therefore, before you blame our country for the dying
troops, blame yourself for not aiding the true patriots of our country which are indeed the able bodied males/females
who volunteered to step up for our country as compared to yourself who sits from afar and downs our country. It's
hogwash and honestly quite amusing to view.

By your reasoning YOU shouldn’t be able to support a war in which your not over there fighting either. How convenient for you to "sit from afar" and pump your patriotic fist in the air while soldiers die in Iraq for the greed of corporations.

Pray tell, How did I "down our country"??????????

If you want I'm sure i can dig up many comments from soldiers against this war (who actually fought in it too). will you accuse them of "downing our country"??
will you say they "would probably run to Canada"???

Because i quoted an author who said "When Fascism comes to America is will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross" ??????
(corrected by another poster from my original use of the "Bible")

Since when was being aware of the changing climate in this country downing it???

Your arguments are lack luster, and reminiscent of distractions, talking points and miss-directions used by the GOP in elections so forgive me If I assumed your party incorrectly, but like I said before.... I don’t give an Ass Rats what party you align yourself with if any at all.
I care about the future of this country, and by future I mean prosperity, freedom, and justice for all Americans (that would include you too Nona!)

Not to Fear, the sleeping giant of Youth Voters has been awakened and along with the abused soldiers of this crap war, and the adults who have managed to keep their heads out of the sand over the last 7+ years will come together to bring this country back from the hole it has been dug into. (you will benefit too Nona, lucky for you)

OK I’m finished with that, Back on topic POF:

Here’s the link to the photo of Sarah wrapped in the American flag from the Newsweek magazine.

http://weblogs.newsday.com/news/local/longisland/politics/blog/2008/09/stylin_sarah_in_a_flag.html

I searched high and low to find a bigger version of it and found much discussion but only this photo which was used on her CNN Revealed program.
very interesting the caption on the page next to her photo, lol

I personally do not care who made the quote but why should people such as yourself be concerned about facism anyways? Most people who think like this would run to Canada anyways leaving the true americans in this country to fight. :)

What a retarded statement to make, especially considering that you are a significantly closer to Canada than I.
Who gave you the authority to decide who the true Americans are anyway????

Your comments are further evidence of the mentality that gave us what we have now; jobless, homeless, indebted, poor healthcare if healthcare at all, and a money pit of Iraq war while bin laden roams free.
Our economy circles the drain, Iraq has 80 billion surplus, and what do they do with that surplus??
Make deals to sell oil to China!!
Is this what our soldiers died for?????

But yet we must leave this to you "true americans to fight"???????

Fight What?? What have you fought for?? The rights of your party leadership to beat you supporters, and unfortunately the rest of us who dispise them like a government mule and return in 4 years to ask for your permission to continue the beating???

McBushalineny supporters are like battered wives getting the taste slapped out of your mouthes by the ones who supposedly love you, and then forgiving every 4 years when they apologize for the beating they gave you,....... All the While plotting the next 4 year long beat down.

Like another poster here mentioned.....

One of the things that stuck out at me with the program on Sarah Palin was the showing of the picture of her wrapped in the American flag over and over again, as if it was supposed to be some subliminal reminder "Look at me, I'm a patriot".

Who made this quote: " When Facism comes to America, it will be wrapped in an American flag and holding the bible"???

Can you grasp that profound life lesson hidden in between?

Do you realize that when young people have a leader they can truely believe in they will vastly out number older people at the polls (that is not taking into account that there are many older people who also will be behind Obama too)

Remember what happened in 92'???? Did you grasp that profound lesson???

Will Obama Take Biden Off The Dem Ticket? (Not a chance!)
Posted: 9/14/2008 6:32:17 AM
Obama removing Biden and replacing him with Hillary is a Republicans wet dream.

The Republicans have been trying since the beginning of the Democratic primaries to influence Democratic voters to pick Hillary, and even put their "Rusk" plants into Democratic voting booths to push her to the front.

Why..........???

They wanted the Clinton name on the ticket with a Black Man to excite repub base towards McCain ( a candidate which the base wasn’t too excited about anyway)

Barack Obama is now doing what Bill C. did in 1992. The repubs don’t want to get their ass kicked by the youth vote again, like they did in 92'.
Even in this late stage of the "game" they choose Palin in an attempt to make Barack switch gears from Biden to Hillary
("I bet he's wishing he picked Hillary now"--- Palin---).

It’s not gonna happen, and McCain will be the one "wishing" he chose someone else after the VP debates, if not sooner with the accelerated investigations of the Alaskan Legislature against their own Governor.

Forget the Polls, they weren’t accurate in 92', they weren’t accurate for the Iowa Caucus, and they aren’t accurate now. The Youth don’t complete poll surveys, they often aren’t even targeted for the polls since polls go after "likely voters" with land line phones.
Youth are never considered "likely voters" judging by there noticeable absenteeism at the voting booth when election night comes if they don’t have a candidate that excites them.

But...... when they do have a candidate that excites them..... Like in 92', or like now with Barack Obama, they come out in mass numbers and can take down the opposition regardless of how many "likely voters" they have on their side.
When it comes to polls and elections the Youth voters "walk softly and carry a big stick!"

Sarah Palin is a poltical hack being used by McCain to garner votes in his own party that he couldnt get on his own.

Unfortunately for McCain before November the Alaskan legislature will drop a sledge hammer on the ant.

you can only do so much underhandedness and make so many enemies before something comes back to bite you in the ass.

Is Obama going too easy on his opponents in an effort to avoid negative campaigning.
Posted: 9/8/2008 10:42:35 AM
Barack Obama is a very smart man, in not letting the GOP's control his campaign.
The McCain campaign is attempting baiting him into an argument that they control, because they have no control over the issues.
The GOP has no argument at all on the issues since they had full control for 75% of the time over the last 7+ years and the state of every major issue in this country is circling the drain.
This leaves them only their only recourse: to attack, smear, lie, invoke fear, and prop up gimmick candidates like Palin.

Joe Biden made that quite clear in a speech after the RNC, where he said: the silence of the GOP on the issues of economy, deficit, healthcare, housing market, fuel prices, education, and job loss is deafening!".

Barack Obama has addressed McCain’s argument about cleaning up Washington by pointing out who runs McCain’s campaign (the same “ones” who are supposed to be "cleaned up").

Then they both (Obama/Biden) get back to the Issues afterwards.

McCain’s days are numbered and that will be for his own choices in selling out to the Neo-Con agenda supporting Bush 90% of the time, and picking Palin, a person of questionable background via her own doing, not by association.
The flash in the pan is just that..... a spark, a flash, a lil smoke, and the end of the show.

After the VP debates we'll see what’s really good!

As for Polls, I don’t pay attention too tuff, remember the polls had Barack loosing bad to HRC in Iowa and we all know how that went. (They only take count of Registered Likely Voters i.e. People with land line phones that are not on the "Do Not Call List", and between certain age brackets.)

But the Polls don’t take into account that there are A LOT of H.S and college age kids and young adults who are Cell Phone Only, and even if they did get a call for a survey would probably hang up on the pollster immediately!
I have the money to pay, and plenty minutes on my cell plan, and yet i still hang up quick on anyone who calls my cell for a survey. So why would a college student on a significantly tighter budget be willing to burn precious minutes if I'm not??

Poll's figure young people are not "likely voters" because they usually come to rallies, make noise on campus, but don’t come out to vote on election night.
But the truth is when the youth have a candidate they can believe in they WILL COME OUT!

This is nothing new though, the same thing happened in 92' and it will happen again cause the youth voters don’t want the "Old Man" from the "Old Party" digging an even bigger hole that ultimately they will have climb out of alone!

They want Real Change, they want better economy, they want better education easier to afford, and there’s only ONE team not only promising, but has the will and ability to deliver.

As for the people actually being polled go, Id say Let Barack Obama and Joe Biden stay on message, and let McCain and Palin keep going negative until the voters get bored of the show and see that those who yell the most are the same ones responsible for the woes the voter faces in their daily lives.
Once the rallies are over and they have an earful of negative attacks they will eventually head home to the Kitchen Table (the only kitchen table, in the only home they own, and are barely holding on to.) They will sift through all the bills and remember what this is really all about.

Barack just has to wait it out.

Keep my enemies close and give them enough rope, they'll put themselves in the air, I'll just kick away the Chair!

Are we as a nation really that stupid???
Apparently the Republicans think so, and their supporters are not making them feel any different.

Well based on what I seen in the two political conventions, the campaign trail, and here in these forums:

The Republicans have no new ideas, they have nothing new to offer, They don’t even have a credible VP candidate. The Maverick died in 2005, and nobody noticed it because the body that housed the "Maverick" is still walking and talking today.
They have put this country, its citizens, its military, its economy, its reputation, and its future on the Rack and stretched it to near breaking points.
They have not offered an apology to the people of this country, much less any others who have been adversely affected by OUR foreign policy, but yet they arrogantly sit there and ask for your votes without doing anything to earn it.

The arrogance of these people to tell you to vote for them and their "values", and yet they have no respect for anyone outside of their "values". They don’t even have respect for their political base since they do not even respect the values they tout as their own.
Values are being used much like Gay Marriage, and Liberal V. Conservative before it; a divisive tactic to confuse the voter into voting for them to maintain power all the while the serve their real constituents which is big business.
We Vote them into Power, and then they decide what power we should have.
We Choose to Vote them into Power, and then they vote to take away our freedoms to choose.
We Give them the control of the public, they control our right to privacy.
We Give them the power to Represent us, then they reprimand us for not blindly following.
We give them the power to protect us, They fail miserably and then attempt to scare you into giving them another chance using their failure as the reason.

1. They don’t value the worker,
2. They don’t value your religious freedoms (that includes religions outside of evangelicals or people who don’t subscribe to religion at all),
3. They don’t value the poor,
4. They don’t value the peoples need for healthcare,
5. They don’t value the diversity in ethnicity, religious beliefs, political beliefs.
6. They don’t value our intelligence and individualisms, to see through the rhetoric to get to the real issues. And a good portion of us have made them believe this to be true.
They Pander to your fears, prejudices, mistrust, misunderstanding, and promote their own self righteousness.
They give you NO plans to reverse the issues that THEY PUT IN PLACE WHICH HURTS YOU.
And what’s even more insulting is that they aren’t trying to hide the fact that for them “this election is not about the issues, but the personalities”

They give you political hacks like Sarah Palin who ducks and hides from the people she's a heartbeat away from governing except to deliver "red meat" speeches to attack those who do offer you an alternative to the lives your currently struggling to live. A person with no grasp of the issues foreign or domestic except for what They tell her, and one who has a history of political abuses for which she is currently being investigated for. Someone who’s lack of good financial management left a town in debt, and outright lies about what she did and did not do during her tenure in Alaska are leaving serious questions in the minds of potential voters vis-à-vis her refusal to address these issues.

On one side of the equation you Have Barack Obama and Joe Biden who say that with some sacrifice and personal responsibility as well as hard work and unity, the people can come together, each using their own talents to raise the families, the communities, the states, and the country from the bottom up.
Doesn’t that message sound a lot like what the Conservative ideals are supposed to be??

On the other end you have John McCain and Sarah Palin, telling you outright blatant LIES. They contrast a campaign that offers hope for the future, and the ability for the people to fix our own situations, with ruthless baseless attacks day after day.
Understandably there will always be a little ribbing of the opponents in a convention and some was offered by the Democrats towards the Republicans as well, but the key difference is:
One Campaign talked a little bit about the other side as far as false promises, then got back to the ISSUES.
How do we fix the economy, where will the money come from, how we fix our current job situation and at the same time get off of oil as our principle source of energy. How to repair our reputation worldwide, and keep roofs over our heads stateside.
One campaign told us to believe in not just the man running for office, but more importantly to believe in OUR ability to fix this country.

On the Other hand the Other Campaign told us who to FEAR, (Remember 9/11 and how scared you were then? remember that, remember that, remember that!),
Cue the Video of the 9/11 attacks, show the people so they can remember that Bin Laden is still out there and we must fear him. We must remember that only the Republicans can stop him. (Never mind the fact the almost 7+ years later we are still no closer to catching him, and the Taliban are making a come back in Afghanistan)
1. Fear Taxes on the middle class (but who helped the rich pay less and you pay more? Not to mention who ran up deficits in 3 years to triple that of 50+ years of cold war?),
2. Fear gay marriage, cause they will effect straight marriage (But except for Mass. Being the only state to allow it as recently as less than 4 years ago, Divorce among straight couples has been increasing at record numbers for DECADES!)
3. Fear Job loss (but never mind it was the Grand Old Party majority in the White House, Legislative, and Judiciary branches which allowed the record shipping of jobs overseas).
4. Fear Terrorist, (But never mind our foreign policy which caused people to go from wanting to be like us, to hating our hypocrisy. Turn a blind eye to our medaling with other nation’s leadership, and afflicting their people with puppet dictators under OUR control ……… even if for only a little bit)
5. Fear Losing The War (but never mind that we should not have been there in the first place since Bin Laden is supposed to be the guy who attacked us. Forget about the fact that WE FUNDED AND ARMED BIN LADEN AND THE MUJAHADIN IN THE 80's under R. Reagan. And forget about the fact that not only did Saddam try to warn the United States about the plans of Bin Laden to attack us on 9/11 but he had nothing to do with the attacks what so ever. Additionally none of the other reasons for the war were true i.e. No WMD, No Link to Al-qaeda, and No Iraqi funding or training of Al-qaeda. Never mind the fact that the Iraqis’ want us out of their country)
6. Fear Social Programs they will raise your taxes. (but never mind the 10 billion per month going to Iraq to pay both sides of the sectarian violence to stop fighting, or squandered and conveniently lost... never getting to the innocent people it was supposed to help after we tax payers paid billions to bombed them back to the stone age. Never mind the Iraqi government has an 86 billion dollar oil surplus, has intimate ties to Iran, and now will sell the oil that our soldiers bled for to,…. of all places ....... China!)
7. Fear Government oversight of U.S corporations, and taxing the corporations fairly. (But never mind that while you struggle with the highest fuel costs for home heating, and driving your car. You have this same party giving tax breaks to corporations who are making record profits off your backs.
They claim that Obama’s plan to tax corporations will cause them to ship jobs overseas and that small businesses will get slammed and have to close doors cutting jobs as well, but they don’t tell you that Trucking / Aviation / Maritime Shipping transportation of people and goods has suffered drastically with the quadrupling cost of fuel.
They don’t tell you about the numbers of Airlines, number of Maritime Shipping companies, and especially the number of Trucking companies that have went bankrupt, closing their doors, and laying off hundreds of thousands of people right here in America.), and yet the jobs are being shipped over seas anyways.
8. Fear The Liberals/Progressives because they hate America first, want to appease the terrorist, want to make everyone gay, gonna use the liberal media to ruin our families and get our teenage daughters pregnant, hate god, hate church, hate freedom, hate corporations that trickle work down to us the peasants.
(But what the don’t acknowledge is the fact the Liberals/progressives have fought hard wars, fought for freedom, made hard decisions, don’t own the media [look at who the media big Whigs contribute to the most], go to church, love god, have the same family issues, and are good at protecting the people of this country as well as defending the rights of others abroad. We have stood up to axis powers of WWII [the real Axis, not some made up fear tactic], and the soviet union during the Cuban Missile Crisis. the closest we ever came to actual Nuclear War. We Don’t subscribe to the proven false policies of trickle down since almost 20 years of it being practiced under Reagan, Bush SR., and Bush Jr. and yet the rich keep getting Richer at the expense of the poor and now what used to be Middle Class.
We signed into laws the civil rights act to ensure that ALL Americans can achieve the American Dream and Now have an Man of African Heritage, a well spoken, highly articulate, highly educated, intelligent, Christian, Man who lives “family Values” and truly cares for the poor and middle class, not just making political speeches about it.
One who lives the Ideals the Conservative leaders can only preach about ……. Nominated as the head of the Democratic Party.)

So this is an Example for you to consider, for yourselves, for your families, your friends, your communities, your states and your nation as a whole.

What have those who offer Fear really have to offer to you?
What Promises have they made that you can believe they will keep considering not only the makeup of their campaign managers and advisors and their campaign contributors?
What will you say at the end of 2009 going into 2010? Will you either have real change of the abysmal situation we currently find ourselves in, or we have more of the same policies and politics that lead us to the point that we're currently in?

Who can you blame for your situations at that point if you chose not to take a stand now?
1. Will you blame Gay's?
2. Will you blame Minorities?
3. Will you blame Immigrants?
4. Will you blame Liberals/progressives?
5. Will you blame Democrats?
6. Will you blame Social Programs?
7. Will you blame Terrorists?
8. Will you blame The Russians?
9. Will you blame The Chinese?
10. Will you blame Big Oil?
11. Will you blame Corporations?
12. Will you blame Pharmaceuticals?
13. Will you blame Predatory Lenders?
14. Will you blame Evangelicals/Religious Right?
15. Will you blame Clinton/Gore?
16. Will you blame Bush/Cheney?
17. Will you blame McCain/Palin?
18. Will you blame Obama/Biden?
19. Will you blame Conservatives?
Truth be told: there are some on this list that have nothing to do with the current situation, some who warned against allowing this situation to happen, some who are a convenient scape goat, some who are antagonists of the situation, Some who designed the destruction of America from the inside, some who followed the plan of destruction out of fear, and some who took complete advantage of situations to get what they wanted.

After All it is we the people who decide who represent us, it’s we the people who allow the politicians to guide us either up the mountain or into the ditch.
It’s We the people who can either go with the new face with the untried way that offers hope for a better future with hard work and sacrifice, or pick the "safe" path in which we don’t expect much of ourselves nor our government and there for cant be too upset when all the rhetoric and the country circles the drain.

The Gloves are off now, She went hard at barack, studied her talking points well, but the one thing she hasnt counted on is that she's not debating Barack, she's debating Joe Biden, who's known for brutal "straight talk' of his very own brand.

I beleive that right up until this point he would have been restained by the Obama campaign (as much as they could anyway), but the leash is off now, LMAO.
She cant play the "Oh Biden is beating on me" role.
Open season for Biden to now go all the way at her and McCain, (and he knows john personally too so no telling what may come up).

This is gonna get VERY interesting now!

So much for McCains promise to run a clean campaign about the issues.

I hope the Republicans enjoy this moment while it lasts cause they have insulted the media (the ones who can find unbelievable dirt on people), and with their opening the door of disrespect on barack, His supporters are now free and clear to return fire.

the days ahead will be very good

So I guess the Kennedy in question is the same one who damn near got all our butts blown to hell and back??Something about some dumpy little island.....Cuba I think they call it??

As i remember it Kennedy stood Nikita Kruschev down and those missles were removed, only one person died in that affair.

Now lets contrast that with G-Dub, who ignored security intelligence about Bin-Laden being determined to attack inside the USA with Passenger Airliners.

and Why, cause he was on vacation making people "watch this drive!"

I noticed just now that when Huckabee noted the historical event that is Obama being the first black (bi racial in my opinion) being elected as nominee for president of a major political party, the applause was lukewarm compared to the other rounds of applause given out. When McCain's military service was spoken of at the Dem convention, the applause was much louder.

Its hard to hid how you feel inside, even when the whole world is watching live.
i think Huckabee was being sincere, but the crowd there wasnt feeling that particular part of the message.

Hey There Karma

I really think McCain would have done well with Bobby Jindal if he were going for diversity. At least it wouldn't have been such a transparent attempt at pandering. It would have had an ounce of substance to it, unlike the choice of Palin.

Not for lack of trying on McCains part. Jindal turned him down flat, said he'd rather be govenor or LA instead.

I think either he really loves LA, or knows McCain is about to scuttle the ship and doesnt want to board the titanic when he has a long career ahead of him.

Most likely both.

McCain is Bush’s clone now, and trying to give Bush a third term by de facto.

I thought when Barack said that McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time that he was making up a rough number. But I was wrong..........

It was actually McCain who first uttered that line that he "voted with Bush 90% of the time" and was proud of the fact that he (the supposed Maverick) had voted with Bush more than the hardliners in his party!

Service to Country??? maybe back in Nam, but lately the only ones who got service from McCain is Bush and his Corporate puppet masters. All the American people got was served the bullshit!

These same puppet masters are now sliding their hands out of Bush's rectum and lubing up again................. hoping to give McCain his 4-8 year continuous proctology exam.

Big contrast from the one's from the Dem convention which highlighted the American people and soldiers which this is what this election is supposed to be all about.

now Drop-dead-Fred yappin more nonsence , lol

**Edit** I'm watching this man sit here and joke about taxes while his party is responsible for the destruction on our middle class, and the creators of a 9 trillion dollar debt!! now this is starting to make me wanna spit.

I note some key differences between the two conventions already.

Dems convention thanked the troops in the video and hailed their bravery.

Reps convention did an expose on Bush sr. without thanking the troops.

Bush on there now lying his ass off about he has to stay in washington to "take care of business" with a dissipated hurricane.

All sounds like talking points, being applauded by by a taped crowd applause.

(notice how fast it starts, and how abruptly it stops in between each line schrub pauses on?? Not to mention its the same audio looped over and over with the one guy making that Uuh-A-uhhh noise!)

compare the two conventions and its easy to see which one was genuine and which one is pure bullshit.

He's pulling more people that McCain to his convention. VERY TELLING!!

I for one am THRILLED that McCain cant get away from Bush. Not even with a big Hurricane coming through.

Bush will speak at the convention via satellite, as will some of the other party loyal, and the party wannabe Joe Lieberman.

the results are predicted

1. J. Lieberman, R Guiliani, and T. Ridge's presence and speaches of praise piss off religious right.

2. G-Dub Bush, pisses off real republicans who realize what has been done to their party brand under his leadership or lack there of.
Reminds everyone else in the country, and around the world what that "Brand" stands for these days and why they should not be allowed to continue.

3. S. Palin, leaves people wondering what the hell was on McCains mind.

4. J. McCain, comes in at the end and tries to clean up the mess, apaologize to the nation for what his supporters did to the country and make a feable attempt to distance himself from his supporters who just spoke on his behalf.

it shouldnt be called a convention, it should be called a Republican National Contradiction.

Sarah Palin's 17 year old pregnant daughter!
Posted: 9/1/2008 1:23:34 PM
I posted this news on another thread and I didn’t do it against Palin’s daughter, but I directed mine against the incompetence of her mother for not knowing what’s going on in her own home. (if indeed she didn’t know)

The reason this is an issue, is not for political convenience of the opposition party, but because of the hypocrisy of the party Sarah Palin belongs to and champions.
Could her daughter have had education on sex, pregnancy, condoms and their use, Then I highly doubt she would be pregnant now.

Now she has (I'm assuming) an unwanted pregnancy, and shotgun wedding in her near future when she probably just wanted to graduate High School and go away to college and do what most 17 year olds want to do....simply have fun and enjoy life.

And all this for what???
Her mother's political ambitions to gain office ????

What’s tragic here is what happens to a young girls future because of political pressure and ambition.

Hmmm what great debate strategy the rightwing has on these forums
1. post bullshit.
2. cry when it gets easily crushed with actual facts.
3. get pissed off and leave the debate cause you got called on the bullshit.
4. come back a day later and try to do the same thing all over again.

what ever happend to the old opposition posters whom I may have had dissagreements with but could respect as individuals?

Dmotz, Dallasguy, Sum1real, Timpommel........come on back so we can have real debates again.

Soissaid

and once again history repeats itself,, a black man over ANY woman,, lol the more things change the more they stay the same,,

I suspected this line would be uttered by someone on one these forums sooner or later.

Please show me one group of people who have been dealt more bullshit in this country that Black People??
I'll double up, show me any three groups combined??

I find it strange that one disenfranchised oppressed group in America (women) would be angry at another disenfranchised oppressed group in America (Black People).

Why are people dissing Sarah Palin you ask???

Cause Palin herself dissed Hillary, completely disagrees with Hillary's political positions, and the Issues Hillary Champions. She has the audacity to stand at the podium next to MCain (who also shares none of Hillary's beliefs) and attempt to ride Hillary's coat tails using Hillary's quotes.

She Doesn’t have nowhere close the impressive resume of HRC, has met with ZERO world leaders, Doesn’t even know what the purpose of the office of VP is about, and unlike Hillary cant run the country (unless of course we're talking about running it further into the ground), if McCain becomes incapacitated, (considering his health and the affects of the presidency on a man, there is a high probability of this).

I Agree with OP, Hillary has a lot of Juice in national politics and that was never under dispute.
I suspect she has more power in the Republican party though since Rush Limbaugh tried to use his influence to make republican "plants" vote where able to prop up her candidacy attempting to get the Clinton name to scare Republicans into voting McCain.

Obama is making his own name, and McCain is making desperate moves to attempt to capture some of her supporters.

Palin is a political Hack and a Hypocrite attempting to use someone she dissed as a reason to get people to vote for her ticket. And this is only so she could go against all the policies of the person who’s coat tails she clinging on to.
That’s why people like me and others here diss her.

No Love!

**Edit** Sara Palin’s 17 y/o daughter is 5 months pregnant, unmarried **Edit**
So much for family values, personal responsibility, and the ability to run your home!
Palin didn’t see this one coming, but she’s the one to run the country if McCain passes or becomes incapacitated while in office????

I'm sure that McCain going to the disater area post Gustav, with hords of secret service, as well as media and camera teams, surrounded by national gaurd wouldnt hinder the opperations of search and rescue nor repair.

I wonder if McCain will sport a bullet proof like he did in Iraq's market place and be shadowed by an Apache gunship helicopter?

Obama has said he wants to organize help for the storm victims but wont go there as his presence will only hinder, not help rescue workers nor the clean up crew.

Thats responsible thinking............ something sooo lacking in the Republican party.

Dobson is going to rain on the Obama Parade
Posted: 9/1/2008 8:14:08 AM
Flyonthewall!, I call Bullshit!

I am sure that there are many reasons but here are the ones that come to mind:

1) His former church is more or less the black version of the KKK, i.e., racist.

Show me one reference where Trinity Church of Christ has lynched, murdered, raped, burned crosses on front lawns, caused a massacre, promoted slavery, threatened people, threatened judges and politicians, or held public rallies to promote hate of ethnic and religious groups????

2) He belonged to that hate church for 20 years.

John Hagee, Jerry Falwell, Lou Dobson, Pat Robertson, have all advocated KILLING people who don’t agree with them or the Bush Administration. AND THESE MEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PREECHERS OF THE GOSPELL????

Barack Obama has never advocated anything like this and he's not even preacher, he's a politician who promotes hope, faith, the ability of the people to raise up and fix their situation with personal responsibility, Help for the poor, comfort for the sick, and justice for the oppressed.

Maybe Obama learned some good things in the 20 years he sat in the pews at trinity that those other Idiots didn’t learn in 20+ years of screaming from the pulpit!

3) He pretended that he didn't know it was a racist church, even though other prominent black people left it for that reason.

I love how people want to dissect Rev. Wrights (sound bite), and not the whole sermon, but please explain to me where Wright was wrong??
America has done and continues to do PLENTY of grimy things all around the world, and the people of this country burry their heads in the sand instead of rallying against these actions just proves to the world what Hypocrites we really are!

P.S Rev. Wright is a Marine who served his country and rose through the ranks.
He served his country at a time when his country wouldn’t even allow him to drink from the same fountains or eat in the same restaurants.

4) He refused initially to denounce that church or it's pastor, even after being beaten over the head with evidence of the above.

Why should he, The pastor was calling it like it is, not how these religious leaders do nowadays pandering to peoples prejudices, promoting peoples fears, and wishing for the downfall of anyone who promotes the process of Free Thinking, all while passing the collection plate to pay for the stadium church and the G-4 private jet.

5) He maintains criminals as close personal friends.

Barack was 8 years old at the time, try again.

6) His position on abortion turns off the many Christians who are pro-life.

Are these the same "Christians" who want America to kill Muslims and political leaders in other nations who don’t agree with the Bush Administration policies?
Are these the same "Christians" who reference another president in the history of this country who died after catching pneumonia in a rain soaked convention and compare that to Baracks chances of getting rained on as per the fervent prayers of the Dobson flock?

To sum up, give the above, they question his ethics.

If you want to question ethics look no further than McCains constant cheating on his wife, or him marrying Cindy before his divorce was completed to his first wife, or how about the Keaton 5, or aligning himself with the above so called "preachers" and accepting their endorsements (before rejecting them under the scrutiny of the media spotlight)
How about caving to Bush on torture of humans, or improper relationships with female lobbyists?

Yes.... Very ethical indeed

Barack Obama:
1. Family Man, raising two wonderful daughters
2. No marital infidelities,
3. Preaches the importance of family values and fathers being there for their children regardless of what the situations is with the mother,
4. Christian,
5. Promotes taking care of the community and the poor/middle class (getting harder to tell them apart nowadays)
6. Promotes capitalism where prosperity trickles up rather than an aristocracy where money supposedly trickles down.
7. No criminal investigations pending, in process, nor planned.
8. Not controlled even remotely nor funded by special interests

And same goes for his running mate Joe Biden
Now that’s Change We can believe in.

Is Gustav the real reason the Republicans cancelled Monday's convention activities?
Posted: 9/1/2008 6:54:50 AM
I started thinking the exact same thing when I heard on the news during the DNC that the Republicans may cancel their convention because of the Hurricane, and that Bush and Cheney may not attend.

How convenient for McCain to find a way out of being supported by the people he so desperately needs to avoid being supported by.

Not to mention not being able to come close to the record breaking attendance nor widely captured emotions of the crowd the moment Barack walked out to deliver.

McCain’s speech would not compare to Barack, not remotely close, not even on the same side of the planet! Palin’s speech also would fare a similar fate when compared to the power of Biden’s speech and knowledge of recent history.

This was exactly what McCain needed to survive Convention week.
Now we can see him attempt to make up for Bush's failures in Katrina unless of course Bush fails again.

The Democratic Convention 08

I care not who wants to leave the debate and who wants to stay.

This is a political forum with differing points of view competing for the minds of the undecided who lurk on these boards but probably dont contribute for whatever reason.

I defend my candidate (Barack) with out insulting others, but theres been a constant barage of Bullshit being leveled at him and his supporters from the opposition and its stuff thats made up from Ultra rightwing, Neocon, Fox News type outlets and sources that attenmpt to discredit the man because of how people perceive him, not because of actual fact.
Either that or by association, but these same people will never put the same spotlight on McCain/gimmick 08' and the things they ARE PERSONALLY INVOLVED WITH.

I'm with Teach on this

I'm not new here and had many run-ins with the opposition party supporters, I could name names of many Republican/Conservetive supporters on various issues but there was never a point where either They or I cried about mistreatment as an excuse to up and leave the discussion.

You dont like the fact that your party is about to loose, then whenever you have a chance again, make sure you never put someone like Bush/Cheney in office again.

Its Not Baracks fault that he brings people to the table who are fed the fvck up of the nonsense this country's citizens have had to swallow over the last 7+ years because of your party.

Its not Baracks fault that his message of change and hope fills fooball stadiums to overflowing capacity, while McCain can barely fill town halls with his more of the same message.

Its not Baracks fault that he out campaigned Hillary Clinton and took his bid for nomination as an uphill fight, and not merely just a formality and a given.
(wait a minute, that one is his fault, lol)

Its not Baracks fault that he picks Biden, and McCain picked Palin as a cheap political trick in an attempt to get disgruntled ex Hillary supporters as well as attempt to take the steam out of the Democratic convention, and at the same time angered many in his own party.

Its not Baracks fault that McCain switched up from being who he was before to a Bush and Neo-Con panderer.

"Republicans need to own their failure"

Obama/Biden 08'

Even now McCain is realizing the error of being linked to Bush/Cheney and the white house probably realizing that they are a liability to McCain are now claiming that because of the Hurricane Gustav that Bush/Cheney wont be able to attend the RNC.

They could have easily just posponed the convention a few days to deal with the Hurricane and then have the full convention with Bush and Cheney speaking.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

how convenient for them, after all we would want Buch Co. showing the people how much McCain is with them, and not the American people at this point.

Is McCain Throwing The Election?
Posted: 8/31/2008 9:52:00 AM
Me Personally I think McCain should have switched parties back in 2000 to Indepentdent, Then he wouldnt have to kow toe to right wingnuts.

They did him a great disservice in the 2000 primaries and now he will loose an election simply for selling out and pandering to these same ***holes that make up (R) party leadership.

The Republican party is dead, and I for one am glad of it. They should be severely punished for what they have done to this country and its citizens, especially the ones that supported them.
They are NOT what their ideals stand for anymore, and havent been for a long time.
McCain should, after this election is over, DUMP the (R) party and re-register as an Independent. That will bring back the man I once admired before he bent his principles to side with a P.O.S like Bush and em.

I really beleive they (R) threw McCain out their as the sacrificial lamb once they had an Idea that it was gonna be Obama, or Hillary who would be the opposition ticket They same way the threw him away in 2000 cause they wanted coke head draft dodging corporate puppet bush instead of the war hero.

But on the flipside, Like MG said, He may be setting up a political "suicide bombing" of the Republican party as retribution for they did to him and the nation.
(which if this really is the case would completely restore my faith in the man!)

It looks like McCain's VP pick is Sarah Palin
Posted: 8/29/2008 4:26:13 PM
Ok People,

McCain in desperation has picked Palin simply because she’s a :

1. Woman: to get the ex Hillary voters that Obama hasn’t taken already (28%)

2. Is NRA: to get the gun nuts to vote for him without holding their nose. (the rabid Bush supporters (27%)

3. Is Pro Life: to get the bible thumpers to give him a second look since they are more focused on more issues this time around than just abortion or gay marriage (about 40%)

4. Is pro drill in ANWR: which goes against his previous stance on the issue, to appease the Bush backers and Big Oil.

So because of the possibility of getting less than 1/3 of a portion of certain groups and at that same stoke of genius he pissed off the real feminists who don’t want to be pandered to by a man, and don’t want a man to decide they have no rights to make choices with their own bodies.

He pissed of the environmentalists ( of which a larger number are evangelicals who are getting more concerned with environment as per biblical verses).

He makes himself look more and more like Bush by putting someone who has never met a foreign leader in the position of being the leader of the free world should he for whatever reason cannot complete the duties of office.

Not to mention he set Palin up for capital punishment when it’s time to see Biden in the VP debates.

Desperation is when you know who you should choose to do the job, but you try any political tricks you can in order to stay vibrant in this race.
He should have chose Mitt R. for veep and that would have been a real debate between
him and Biden ( I think Mitt would have lost still, but at least it wouldn’t be a "flawless victory" like it will be with Palin)

There had to be so many better choices, women choices in the RNC to take this spot and boost McCain but even in this John dropped the ball.
I wouldn’t let someone I met 1 time before run my house much less as the VP.
She would have looked better in the position if she at least got tested in the Republican primaries against the likes of Guiliani, Romney, Thompson, Paul, and against McCain himself.

If you like political pandering against all common sense, you know which party you belong to.

Footnote in history at this point, at least for 10 years since i don’t think anyone except political die-hard’s will remember in about 10 years.......
But they will Remember Barack Obama and Joe Biden for Decades and Decades to come.

Obama/Biden 08' cause were really fed up of bullshit political tricks of the RNC, especially after the last 8 years of bullshit political tricks from the RNC.

Redd

hey..maybe she can ask Obama to coach her on that.

No need to bother the President with such tasks, his teaching days are over.
Besides Biden will give her all the schooling she needs for her future run for office since she and McCain are heading back to their respective states after 11/4/08.

The Democratic Convention 08
Posted: 8/29/2008 11:46:38 AM
Ok, I'm joining this debate late, but that convention last night was beyond compare.
I've often wondered what could make people feel in such a way about JFK back in the days of "Camelot".
I watched the old History Channels video clips of JFK speaking to the crowds and people crying, fist pumping, jumping, screaming, shouting out in pure unscripted joy (no need for an applause sign).

I have followed politics since a young kid (have no idea why that was, maybe due to my father being heavily into politics), and I have never seen any politician come remotely close to restoring the "feeling" the way Barack Obama has.
Not even Bill Clinton whom I admire as a president has done what Barack has.

It’s a great time to be alive, and I finally know what it feels like to have a candidate that dares you to believe in yourself and your country, and the ability of us to rise up and raise the country up as well.
It’s like Kennedy reincarnated: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!"

This is our time, this is the moment where we raise up to elect a leader, and we don’t stop there, Change in government is step 2, step 1 is a change in ourselves.
Change our cynical nature which doubts because we're so used to being lied to and disappointed.
Change our individual and often hidden prejudices which have been used by the powerful to divide the people from one another for stupid reasons.
Change our greed, laziness, and apathy.
Change the way we live and the neat little boxes we conveniently place ourselves in or allow others to put us into.
Change the partisan ways we use as an excuse for our decisions and see the big picture.

We have this one opportunity to bring ourselves out of this hole with personal responsibility both inside the voting booth and once that is over everyday thereafter. Making individual changes in our lives and communities which will help to bring about the plans Obama has set forth to fruition.

After the years of utter failure from the current administration on every front, not to mention the republican “blank check” congress which has brought us to phenomenal levels of national debt, we need to unite as a people regardless of party affiliation and realize that were are ONE America, and what affects the "blue" affects the "Red" too, and vice versa.

Kennedy challenged us almost 50 years ago to put a man on the moon, it wasn’t a "Red" project, nor a "Blue" project..... It was an American project!
Now we as a nation have a more pressing project, and that is to ensure that there is an economically sound, environmentally clean, and internationally well respected America for our children to inherit.

This is not so much Baracks time (although it is history in the making)
This is really our time..... Americas time to move forward and pull up.

I cant stop myself from laughing at this one

all republicans to the top deck, man the life boats!!
The "Mavrick" has just scuttled the ship!

If this isnt the most blatent attempt at pandering to women I dont know what is.

Experience arguement out the window, which was the only thing the Rethuglicans barely had an arguement on. (false argument that it is anyway).

Stretch Palin across the rails and wait for the Biden freight train to come barreling down!

Im over here twitching in anticipation of the upcoming debates both presidential and VP.

The Hillraisers just got folded up!
Posted: 8/26/2008 8:42:48 PM
Hillary laid it out, Game over for the Republicans and their "plants" who claim to be Hillary supporters.

The whole world heard the woman loud and clear with no bones about it.

Obama is the future, McCain is more of the same.
She said its not about her, its about the issues of the American People and who is better to run this country into the future, not into the ground further.

"The twin cities is the perfect place for Bush and McCain's convention since they are hard to tell apart!" HRC.

I'm GLAD this is finally put to bed, now we could move forward and get the job done!

The Hillraisers just won't fold

Obama must lose this election if Hillary is to have any chance in the future because Hillary will simply be too old to wait until 2016 and will face the same nasty commentary and discrimination that McCain is dealing with right now and he's a man! And most of us know how discrimination over aging is much worse for women than it is for men.

Finally someone one of the "hillraisers" admits why they really want McCain, cause they want Hillary to have a shot in 2012.
So by this reason you must be assuming that McCain will do such a bad job that Hillary will have another bite at the apple in 12'.
You couldnt have meant all the praising McCain stuff you claimed in other threads since If you really thought he would be such a better choice than Obama you also couldnt imagine him loosing a re-election bid in 2012.
On the same token you must believe Obama WILL deliver since you readily admitted if ,( or should I say when) He wins Hillary wont get another shot till 2016. and thus your fears of her being too old will can her campaign before it begins.

Dont give me that crap about the party not taking down the incombant, especially if Obama does as bad a job as you want people to believe will be the case in these threads.
They would drop him quick if his administration imploded, and search for a replacement (most likely Hillary) to be able to hold the White House.

If having a woman president is soooo important to you and like minded Hillary supporters that you would rather see 4 more years of America failing and sinking further into the hole just so the political situation could be ripe to get Hillary in office......... How much could you really care about the future of this country and the burden we're building for our children to clean up????

Is it really worth it?

when looking at the forest, remember to see the trees too.

Barack Obama 08', no more taking 4 steps back to hope 4 years from now someone might be able to take a step forward.

If it rained and the crowd stays put, If Obama comes out, gets soaked on stage, and still delivers as he ALWAYS does,...... what will his opponents complain about then?

McCain Campaign Ad Paints Obama as the Anti-Christ
Posted: 8/8/2008 7:28:16 AM
The Bible also warns to be ware of FALSE PROPHETS!!!

Now who is the false prophet here hmmmmmm..... is it the one who uses hope to uplift people and motivate them to believe in themselves and their ability to change their lives and the world for the better, or the one who tries to bend bible verses to create fear and hatred?

I dont know who the Anti Christ is, but I can tell you who's sounding more and more like a false prophet!

Republicans labeling Obama an elitist?
Posted: 8/3/2008 7:29:35 AM
Hey Suth, what happend to the suit my man, lol

Chicago was just deemed the most violent and crime-riddled place in America by reports in the national media. Apparently the South Side is not unlike a warzone at times. Drugs, street-gangs, guns, illegal aliens, the whole 9 yards!

Isn't that where Barack and Michelle did all thier Community Service work for a number of years? Reshaping the community, establishing new directions and priorities, and providing badly needed rock-solid community leadership? Along with, of course, the essential faith-based guidance of the honorable Reverend Wright?

Seems to me it was..

-Suth'nBoy

My Point exactly, Barack has an Ivy League education, and could have easily went on to top levels of the corporate world making obscene money and receiving perks.
Yet he chose to go into as you call it the "Warzone" to serve the people.

Seems pretty honorable to me, and the kind of selflessness we need in an American President to make up for the utter selfishness exuded by "W" and his cronies over the last 7+ years
