IMO this little informational nugget should have come up MUCH sooner...guys tend to think if they avoid a topic something magical will happen & no matter how fvcked up it is, somehow it will all be "ok"...
some things are not "ok" & will never be "ok"
some things can be worked thru if they are brought out in the open ASAP
but the longer you wait the less "ok" it will be
would it have been "ok" for you to stop by if she had not been out of town? i agree that if she doesn't say it to me personally, it ain't "ok"

Whats with women that invite their dogs into the bedroom to sleep?
Posted:
8/9/2009 12:10:57 PM
our dog is our child...he does not sleep in the bed because he has his own couch...but he eats what we eat {yes i feed him at the table & yes i eat with the same hand without getting up to sanitize!}...goes where we go & anybody who doesn't like is more than welcome to go back to their own little world & leave me to mine...my dog is VERY well mannered & he does not beg or scratch at the door & he pretty much ignores us when we are doin' the horizontel bop...
i understand not everybody feels the same way about their animals & that is cool but i don't want to hook up with someone who doesn't relate to animals the same way i do...tried it before & it does not work...

7-Year-Old Steals Car To Avoid Church
Posted:

[@#24... points at the idea of physical and verbal abuse as being an appropriate punishment for a 7-yr-old boy "not going to church"]: should i laugh, or puke
if you had actually read my post i said nothing about him not going to church...i don't go to church & don't have any use personally for organized religion...my point was that he did something dangerous & illegal & for that he gets a trip to NY & grounded for 4 days...
yes, i spanked my children...i also spank my grandchildren...abuse, not hardly...if more of the little heathens were appropriatly supervised they & everyone they come in contact with would be better off...
and yes, where were the parents & why were they not held accountable for their lack of control over their children???
kinda reminds me of the cubans who turned a 55 chevy into a raft and tried to paddle their way to miami. of course, they were turned away. hey govt morons! that's exactly the kinda people we want in this country!
yeah that's what we want more illegals & juvenile deliquents...now i'm gonna puke...

7-Year-Old Steals Car To Avoid Church
Posted:
8/5/2009 7:45:58 AM
WTF is the matter with you people????
i am not the church lady (that's my mom's job) but i am the mom in this house...the adult...the one who is paying the bills & setting the rules...
when the kids are old enough to do this for themselves they can make the choice to go to church or to wherever the hell they want....until then ---my house, my rules...get your a$$ in the car & shut the fvck up....take my car & i am gonna beat your little a$$ till you can't sit down & sell your x-box on ebay...
this is not a story about organized religion, this is a story about the willfull disobedience that society let's the kids get away with...no, i stand corrected...they REWARD them for it!!!!
how fvcked up is that?

So why are a man's hands so attractive to women?
Posted:
7/31/2009 9:09:05 AM
To me the hands come into play when they are a man I love. When they belong to a man who I've been intimate with. The thought of those hands on someone else is upsetting to me. Those hands are his but they're what touch me in ways no one else will if I'm in love. I cherish those hands as I do the love for the man and if I know they've strayed elsewhere they lose their appeal.
i never connected the two but when i read it---bongo!
thanks, leona, for clarifying that feeling i couldn't put into words.

i caught this child & his parents on the today show...
ok, now when was it we started rewarding our kids for dangerous, illegal & just plain stupid behavior?
if it had been me as a kid or one of my kids none of us would have been able to sit down long enough to fly from utah to ny for starters...grounded for 4 days?!...Four fcuking days????!!!!
i'm glad i'm old & won't be around when these kids are running the show...you think it's bad now...just wait...

Housekeeping --- Does a messy place turn you off?
Posted:
7/27/2009 7:25:08 AM
when i met my last ex i should have run the first time i saw his house...looked like it was a motel room...very generic, very clean...i am messy...not nasty but very messy...i "collect" stuff! guess what we fought about for the next too many years???
the last place i lived alone was a mess...clutter everywhere, usually dishes in the sink, projects everywhere & clothes--omg--did foley's explode in my house?? but it was my house & my mess & i didn't have a problem finding most things (except for that which i "put up" so i wouldn't lose it! lol)
my SO was concerned when he first came over but now that we are co-habitating he is grateful to find i have consideration for the fact i am not the only one who lives here.
i am still messy but clean--no science experiments but then again i am a stay at home now & not working a full time job & he does pick up after himself. it is all a matter of what you are comfortable with i suppose.

Ask weight & measurements before meeting- ignoring photos?
Posted:

i agree that it is totally ignorant to ask anyone this question...numbers mean nothing...i am 5'7", weigh 174 lbs & wear a size 12 jeans but an 18 or 20 dress...no that does not add up but it is what it is...i am curvy & solid...i have ample boobage but no butt...the #'s don't tell you all this...
no i would not answer this question...not because i have anything to hide but because it is all subjective
well, actually i would answer this question...with one of my own...how big is your package? length, girth, at rest, at attention,,,blah blah blah
get real guys { & girls} miss america can still be a lying, cheating b!tch that will clean out your bank account & secret stash !

now the bed room is for sleeping, reading, talking & you know that other good stuff...it so much better now that i can go to sleep with the sound of my lover's voice the last thing in my head...makes for sweet dreams.

question for any addicts in recovery

yep, i was in aa for 6 yrs....went to women's meeting first, knew there was alot of shit wrong in my life & was just looking for a way to get some relief...well, they soon determined that i was an alcoholic & i needed to get "sober"...at that point i was desperate enough to need the overwhelming approval i got when i said "hi, i'm laura & i'm an alcoholic"...don't get me wrong i met some wonderful people & had some good times but like byrd i had NO life outside of aa...they had me convinced if i didn't go to meetings EVERY night i would soon be dead....eventually i looked around & saw that the ones who were pushing this had nothing going on in their life except aa...that is when i decided to leave & guess how many of those people who love me "unconditionaly" still acknowledge my existence?...zero...i look at it as 6 yrs of group therepy, take what i need & leave the rest....what ever helps you make it thru the days & nights is what you need to do...today i drink very rarely & then only one or two...haven't died yet & it's been 2 yrs since i went to a meeting...if you get what you need from movies or music---use it....if you need a meeting--go...i too have been at some awsome meetings but today i have a life & that is in some part the work of those 6 yrs but i don't buy into the therory you have to go to meetings forever...like it's been pointed out...just get out there & do the next right thing...good luck

one of my ex's was also bi-polar but he also has schizophrenia w/auditory hallucinations, without meds he is not a bundle of fun but that does not make him a bad person...the fact that he is also an a$$hole did however make me dream of driving a stake thru his heart!...just kidding....mostly

Men Shaving...
Posted:
6/6/2009 7:49:34 AM
I don't see how wanting to look like a little girl makes you proud of your sex.
I think it's creepy that more and more men are attracted by the pre-teen look.
i agree....against my better judgement (totally an ego thing), i accepted an invitation from a 29 yr old (i was 50 at the time) learned my lesson quick, fast & in a hurry...not only did he look like he could have been one of my son's school friends but when he takes off his clothes---he has NO HAIR!...omg...i felt like a pedophile...literally had to go shower & seek counseling (only from my girlfriends tho)....men are suppose to be at least a little hairy...like someone else pointed out, i changed my son's diapers too many times....can't hang with it....personally i only trim, shaving is too itchy...trimmed is fine...bald is not beautiful...except on a smiley

i used to have the boob tube on 24/7 and never thought i could live without it but after a year & a half of being out in the boonies i couldn't go to sleep with it on now....

Excitable boy, they all said
And he raped her and killed her, then he took her home

Well, he's just an excitable boy
After ten long years they let him out of the home
Excitable boy, they all said
And he dug up her grave and built a cage with her bones
Excitable boy, they all said

Would you date a person with DISABLED CHILDREN?
Posted:
5/8/2009 5:24:19 AM
i almost did not click on this thread because at my age having kids (mine or theirs) is pretty much a non-started....i've done my time...grandkids are cool but full time--don't think so...but more to the point my oldest child (who is now 29--OMG! i'm old...lol) is an albino & while there are a multitude of disabilities more severe, his was & is a consideration...i have also worked for years in daycare & i was always the one who got the kids with autism, adhd, down's syndrome, ect. because the opinion of all was "send them to miss libby, she's so good with them" whether it was just because the others couldn't or wouldn't deal with them i do not know but i am grateful that i got the chance to know these amazing, wonderful small people...each & every one of them still holds a special place in my heart & enables me to give thanks to the gods that my kids are what they are...the parents of these children hold a special place in heaven & the ones who exploit the situation hold reservations for the inner circle of he!!...
that being said i am so glad i clicked on this thread it has really made my day brighter for being able to read the profile of txwheels....like beth i would have contacted you directly, honey, because you are the funniest person i have seen in awhile...your attitude is so great!!!!

i TOTALLY agree with the OP...my house is my house & if i haven't invited you, do not just "pop" by!!!...i see no paranoid issues here...i live out in the country & my house is pretty well concealed by landscaping...i also like to lounge in various states of undress & would not welcome unexpected company...leaving the tissue at your bedroom door?...no, that's just creepy...this guy would make me feel VERY uncomfortable & since he obviously has no intention of respecting your wishes i would break it off & if it happened again i would get a restraining order...for women who live alone there is no such thing as being too careful...

i got this same BS from my guy...i know he's a egomaniac & needs ALOT of validation from different sources...i don't like it but i can't/won't demand that he take it down or hide it...i have made the choice to accept it until it becomes unacceptable then i will do something different...
he knows i am on here & he knows who i talk to & vice versa...we have each others passwords & can check at any time...it's very open & that's okay for now...he does cruise when he's bored & so do i...men are just men & each of us has our f*kd up issues...
i hear so much negativity on here...it's always "if he/she doesn't do/not do (fill in the blank)...then dump him/her"...whatever happened to working thru issues & putting some effort into making a relationship work?...we are so ready to kick them to the curb if they are not our idea of the perfect mate...newsflash---there is no such thing as the perfect mate!!!...find someone you don't want to smother in their sleep & actually put some effort into it...sometimes things just don't work but i am willing to go the extra mile to see if it makes a difference...jmho

i did the 3way thing years ago...had fun when i did it but nothing to stand up & applaud for...the man i'm with now has never had the experience & really wants to try it...rather reluctantly i have agreed to it if the opportunity arises...
being older now sex has changed for me...it is not a bartering chip or something to do when i'm bored or f*&ked up...it is communication between two people who care about each other...one more way to express the depth of my feelings...
unfortunately women f*&k with their hearts & men f*&k with their d!&ks...one of the great cosmic jokes

Trust Issues ... what do you do?

men are like road signs-slippery when wet, road ends, uneven lanes, lane merges, expect delays...
trust issues are something that come up again & again....knowledge avails me nothing...i know that i am part of the problem but i am bored by the solution...i am attracted to edgy, dangerous men...not serial killers (at least not lately!) and so i am putting myself out there for the chance of being betrayed one more time...i know all the signs-in them & in me...
i also took some time off from relationships (3yrs) & i sit here now with a man i love, a man i like & a man i do not trust...
it's like the edge of the hole theory...can i live with the danger of falling in?...is the good worth the bad?...do i take a risk or live my life always being too afraid to take a leap?...there are no easy answers & good sometimes my head hurts from spinning the possibilities around in there...
i cry the same tears at 52 as i did at 25...does that make me a loser or an idiot?...no it makes me human...i have chosen for better or worse to put myself out there, take a chance & live with the consequences as best i can...

well, i wake up in a brand new world everyday...some days i am very slutty & some days i am very prudish...just depends on the delivery of the line as to how i respond...a sense of humor goes a long way with me...flirting & innuendo are great ice breakers...i do not mind talking about sex in an email but definately don't like cybersex...9 out of the 10 voices in my head say "delete-delete-delete" if the guy is crude & has no style...i at least want to feel like you put some thought & energy into asking how big my boobs actually are & if i like to do it standing on my head...(i don't by the way)
