WOW, just posted one day and got so many replies, thanks guys. I think I got to get out more.

Speaking of trying to make friends online, this is actually my first time. I used to make friends by going to different events, parties or even in the gym. However, this year school locks me down in my room. (very important school year ).

Sooo.... looking at computer is most what I do now

Does your profession have much to do with your social life?

Hello, everyone,

I actually have this question stuck in my mind for a long time, does your profession have much to do with your social life?
Myself is a engineering student in UBC, being an engineering student, the workload is extensive, it basically sucks up most of my time. And plus, 90% of the students in this program are guys. After spending so much time with your classmates and school work. Most of my college friends are engineering students and they are all guys. When I talk about this problem with one of my high school friends, who is in med school, he said he never had this kind of problem because more than half of his class are girls.

Have any of you guys had the same experience and what do you think.

cheers
