Profiles mean bugger all. If someone thinks a page represents who they are, fcuk 'em to hell.
This is one occasion when I thank fcuk that life is a tad more complicated than that.
Whilst my page most certainly reflects an aspect of me, if people wanna judge me by it...so fcuking what?
Its some writing on a page on the internet, and probably makes more sense than 80% of the stuff that this modern medium of joy and delight presents us with.
Up front, honest, true, things people like to present themselves as without having a clue who they are most of the time.
I don't judge by words, nor actions, nor any other cliche.
It is what impels those words, etc, why they happen, and so on.
That, and boobies.

Whats it like?

Take your chances. I left when I was five, like yerself, and moved back about four or five years back.
Move to a city initially, any city, they are all a lot more spacious and friendly than anywhere in the UK, anf the cost of living is generally cheaper.
The job situ is crazy all over, so I say still, take a chance, and also, broaden your kids horizons, ie, if you wanna stay, all good, if you don't, your kid has seen another part of the world.
I am in work at the mo, but there are times I haven't been, Oz is a better place to be skint.
Remember, everything takes time, so try it out at a leisurely pace, and enjoy the odd trip to the pub where you are less likely to be threatened than are ;)

whats your best pick up line?
Posted:
3/26/2006 12:18:35 AM
I only used a pick-up line once, when in the UK, and it worked, I said to a woman that I was Brad Pitt in disguise and she replied that she was Gwyneth Paltrow in disguise (Back in ancient times, this were).
Didn't do me any good though, as I was very drunk and lost her, and woke up with a student nurse who thought that I had slept with her and stolen her purse.
Neither of which I had done, ta muchly!

Letting other people do the cooking...
Posted:
2/2/2006 7:59:49 AM
I don't mind someone cooking for me, and I like cooking for others, as well as cooking for myself.
Always a bonus when the person cooking for you does it well, but if they put the effort in its still cool, even if it isn't great.
Now, on the other hand, I hate people interfering with my cooking.
Or if they use instant mash potato, nuh-uh, that is a for whom the bell tolls moment right there.
Instant mash is evil incarnate.

Trust Issues
Posted:
1/28/2006 3:54:36 AM
I have trust issues, rooted as part of my being since childhood, but I let people know this if I get close to them, and it is something that, as a previous poster mentioned, is built, for me anyway.
I think though that, essentially, trust, in any relationship of worth, be it friendship or more, should be given, or at least given as much as one is able to (Speaking fer meself ;)), not earned.
Off topic, but relatable, I cannot stand how so many peeps make the statement, 'You have to EARN my respect'.
Bullshit, stop watching cheap fiction and live a little.
I don't HAVE to do anything, likewise, I do not HAVE to earn your trust.
These things grow at various rates over varying periods of time for a variety of relationships.
You have to earn my disrespect or distrust, should be more appropriate.

Dating a Transsexual / Transgender Person
Posted:

Whatever makes a person happy, and otherwise, give a shit what other folk think, let them work out their own miseries, but anyway, OP, nothing wrong with not going for a woman if you don't dig chicks.
I had a thing with this really tall woman, very amazonian, and very attractive, massive feet, but they worked to her scale.
She had a secret that she kept on alluding to, and me, being superbrain, after adding up various comments she'd made, came to the presumption that she used to be a bloke.
Having great boobage, etc, and a fertile bedroom imagination, I was all prepared to live with this, indeed, I am open-minded and a brave soldier.
I was highly disappointed to discover that she was merely an ex-gambler.

Being compared to folk such as Dr Evil has made me come to realise that maybe I am not the next Brad Pitt.
This makes me very, very sad.
Yet, somehow I struggle on in society without having resorted to wearing a bag over my head in public, and have had dalliances with the occasional attractive female.
Dazzle them with lies and alcohol, is what I say.

I mentioned this elsewhere, a female friend joined here, her inbox was packed within 30 minutes, some with men taking her to task with what she wrote in her page.
She is a funny woman, unfortunately, many people on the net are morons and cannot comprehend the most blatent of humour, or worse still, presume!!!
After 30 minutes she deleted her account, and why not, faced with ignorance, and, perhaps, desperation.
Free site.
This may sound terse, but this is a regular topic brought up:
Get over it. Yes, all women who do not reply are shallow, or whatever demon you want them to be. Closure, move on, nothing to see here.

I'm damn ugly. Hah, I've lived in various countries, been further, met more people, gained more experience in life than many people with cars.
Many women can deal with this as well. None appear to be shocked that I am not using them as a taxi service.
These woman tend to be independent and can be complete in themselves without needing a man with such prerequisites.
Hey, its all down to personal choice, but if I'm going to be called a loser for not having a car, or worse yet, potential murderer that I am, not having a licence, spare me, and realise that some people function fine without.
I am a resourceful individual, I'm sure you all are too in your own wee ways.

I like to cook, and I have known some women who just like to put tomato ketchup on EVERYTHING. That would be a definite issue. Unless they were very, very, very hot.
One woman I knew thought cauliflower cheese was exotic *sob* It's understandable if she was from a gastronomicly different background, but no.

Nice Guys Finish Last?
Posted:

Everybody is nice.
Unless one is personality disordered, most folks know the social graces and can show a great front.
Marlyn Vos Savant says "the best way to know if someone is truly good is to give them power".
Being nice in itself is far from enough.
It is more of a function than a quality, as such.
It is handy in day to day interactions with the world, but it doesn't mean you would want to **** it.
'Nuff said.
Still, men are a variable lot, more than just the type you define. Boorish, rough types can whinge just as much, but hey, they are just, "regular guys", so they must have balls, or something. ;)

Really, its about you and what you would like to do.
Of course, we could always duck into the nearest alleyway and I'll **** you up the shitter.

I yearn for the days, such as in Victorian era London, when children were sent up chimneys to clean them for their keep.
The problem is, one day a child asked for more porridge, and they were given it, thus was the first stepping stone laid to the foundation of the concept of "teenagers",.
As we all can see, teenagers have lead to the downfall of civilisation as we know it.

I would date a woman without a job, taking all aspects of the gal into consideration.
I wouldn't if she expected me to be her cash flow.
How does that equate with not having a car, do I get paid an hourly rate for driving?
Peeps just have their preferences, I guess, and add or subtract from their sources of possibilities and experiences thusly, including relationships.

I once stayed in a squat in London, UK, on my first day there, I ended up which nothing much to do with a complete stranger, a woman, I offered her a cigarette, being polite, or to quote, "You wanna fag?", as they can be called there, she gave me a death stare and said said, 'What did you say?', in a very aggressive manner.
Its horrible being turned down with such disgust, especially when you were not even asking, but whatever.

OP: I refused a woman who offered me the best blow job in the world recently. *thud*
I find that if I am interested in a particular woman, more than just whoever happens to be there at the time, I can easily turn down anything that may be gifted me from other women.
Some of your friends sound like morons, unless they were just kidding around with you.
Regarding emotionless sex, it can be done, with two people having fun and they know they are having fun. with some chemistry there.
Different from empty sex, which is ****ing for the sake of ****ing, very depressing, leaves one jaded, tried it a couple of times, well, whilst young and drunk, not for me.
I have a most excellent **** buddy, she is a great friend, whom I do care for, we can talk, and have fun, and the rest, but we know there is going to be no relationship beyond that.
I will not go into details, as I feel it is not my place to speak about her in depth to strangers, but for some reason it works.
Stick to yer guns, soldier!
Oh yeah, the woman I turned down, no chemistry, she is tres immature, nice, but young and stupid, in her attitude, I could see tears and dramatics down the line.

Porn is cool, but it is understandable if you do not want to go out with someone who would list it as a major hobby. I wouldn't mind, in fact, I'd be bloody delirious if a met a woman who was into such a hobby.
Still, I can see conflict of taste, and lifestyle.

Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum,
What might be right for you, may not be right for some.
A man is born, he's a man of means.
Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans.
But they got, Diff'rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
Everybody's got a special kind of story
Everybody finds a way to shine,
It don't matter that you got not alot
So what,
They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine.
And together we'll be fine....
Because it takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
Yes it does.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
Whoa, flashback!!! (They've got nothing but their jeans?)

If this bloke met a woman he gave a damn about, after avoiding women for so long, even if by lack of attraction, I guess she would be special, and if she was reciprocal, I think itbest to say, and I think most women, if not humans as a whole, would be curious, as is the case with unconventiality.
It very well may flatter her. Also, lotsa woman out there do not mind teaching every now and then, as long as you are an enthusastic pupil and progress, it is better than being potentially a bad shag without reason and no communication.

A Place for the Whacky Good Guy?
Posted:
1/14/2006 12:38:39 AM
Sometimes wacky guys need to relax and chill out and all that.
Also, saying that you are wacky, crazy, whatever, can send up warning signals, like, 'Am I gonna be held hostage to this guy performing and be sidelined to the role of audience'.
Wackiness can be hard to get through, to find the dude that another can relax with, it can also be seen as trying to hard.
Now, I am just stating some perceptions that are out there, and sometimes when I was younger I would go into overdrive using humour to try and impress a woman or two.
You gotta know how to let other aspects shine as well, even if, like me, humour is an essential part of how you view this planet.
This isn't really aimed at you per se, but just some thoughts thrown into the mix.
Persistence, and the ability to listen and gauge the situation, mixed with trial and error.

Lay out the Rules
Posted:
1/11/2006 10:38:32 PM
"Once a cheater always a cheater" isn't even a jealous line, it is just a potential line from a bullshit talk show.
All this analysing to crap in the hope of breathing instead of living, ie, do you want 100% security and certainty, or, do you want somebody that you love, that lifts you and gives your live another cool dimension.
All these different variables life presents us, all the oppurtunities people can share and learn from, and instead, one is assualted by blinkered absolutisms and judgements. So whats good for the goose...
You know, these things about peoples pasts, should it be so shocking that they may come up in conversation as people get to know each other and share there past experiences, just naturally?
Thank god for real life, I say.

Christ almighty, just wrench my man boobs and call me Mary!
Is there one iota of the email system that hasn't been raked over with a fine comb. Maybe all the emails should be copied, printed, enlarged, framed and then put in an art gallery.
As someone else implied, wether you read/delete, read/keep, etc, etc, etc, you are damned by someone.
I give up all hope for the future of humankind.
Humankind, in the meantime, needs to find a hobby.

Crumbs, of course people learn, they change, grow up, become more responsible regarding the feelings of others.
You think the habitual, sociopathic cheater is going to tell you about it?
Doubtful, but then again, y'all can use yer powers of omniscience to see right through them critters.
Though if you have been cheated on before, I can see that you would be more shy of presenting yourself to such a possibility again.
And no, I have never cheated, one woman at a time is far too confusing as it is.
Ainsel: Good points right there.
