Hide/Unhide

And then wait 6+ months for a reply after reporting it numerous times and having numerous posts/threads on here?

I really don't understand why this can't be fixed when we get emails from Marcus raving about the details he's put into his new site, eVow. Why not fix what you have first?

Upgrade Members is the Upgrade worth buying

Mine was never hidden....it became hidden one day. I used the links in the profile edit page to unhide ,daily, it for a few days and then the link disappeared.

I think many may hide their profile when they start to date someone, and then have that link to hide/unhide disapear. I guess my question is if there have been so many complaints, even from paid members, why not respond to them or the emails to CSR with an update....or better yet a fix.

Why would you give money to a site that hasn't listened to members requests or issues with a known problem for over 8 months? Profiles are hidden and there is no way to unhide them for many members, paid or unpaid. To those that paid, I would consider there to be a breech of contract situation. Even deleting a profile and creating a new one only solves it for a short time or not at all.

There is ZERO excuse for not fixing the hidden problem issue for members on the site.

How do I contact the Admin?

But seriously, as a member of this site for a number of years, the lack of a response for months simply is BS. If they can tweak the site and its features without notice, surely they could just add another link in another area. I've even heard of members who had enough, created a new profile and had the problem happen again a few days later.

They could easily create anther hyperlink or even a "feature" that would allow a user to click a link daily to unhide there profile. I know some users who are doing that since their profiles are auto hidden on a nightly basis by the system.

OR, take all of the hidden profiles and not let them receive emails and allow all of the availbles ones to receive them. I understand sometimes users hide their profiles, search on their ouw and send out new emails as they choose, to but remove a link and leave active members purpousely hidden without any recourse is counterproductive to what this site is about. I literally was one of the first users to discuss the problem but yet to date have not received ANY response to any of the emails that I sent. I stopped bothering to waste my time 4-6 weeks ago.

What is the real intent here? To just drive off membership and treat them as low lifes as shown in public statements?

HIDDEN PROFILE PROBLEMS: Post all concerns here

Ok, so 6 weeks after the problem was communicated in the forums and after numerous emails from many users, why is the link still missing in the "edit profile" page? Why are profiles that can be unhidden being automatically hidden by the site on a NIGHTLY basis, thus requiring manual unhiding daily. What's the point of having a profile if the site is going to hide it on your behalf and not address the problem??

So I'm going to call BS on this. It's been a great site for years, but this issue has been posted on numerous times with threads/temporary solutions removed for several months. 6 emails now have gone unanswered.

Seriously, what is the real story here? Are you just trying to indirectly run us off, drive down revenue, and drive up the business case to start charging users? Anyone tempted to become a paying member would have to think twice after the miserably poor customer service on this fairly important topic.
