Thanks for the input. I can see where you are coming from and I can see where some might read it like that even though it was not meant that way. I'll work on revamping the wording.

Been on here a bit but I feel as though my profile is a bit bland.

Let me know what you think.

I can make it quite a bit longer, but I know that wen I look at a profile that is 6 pages long I get to a point where I think the person is really limiting themselves

Introduce Yourself Here.
Posted: 6/30/2009 3:44:38 PM
Visiting the forums for the first time yesterday. Some interesting posts and people so far.

In general I am looking for a person who can be a spur of the moment person and is willing to laugh a lot.

Native, with a brief stint in CA.

I am a bit of an open book, so ask away.

Thanks,
Roger

Age range you are looking for. What's that say about you?

Debt
Posted: 6/30/2009 10:53:40 AM
I have manageable debt, but I have divorce debt that I did not know about until we split.

I am living within my means, but that only means I manage my money I have. So when I go out, I don't go where I can not afford.

It's not about spending money on a date anyhow, it's about knowing the person that you are with.

I'd be happy going to a ball game and getting a corn dog if it afforded me the opportunity to get to know the person more.

Trust issues.

I just simply reply to any emails by saying that I am currently seeing someone and I am not entertaining the idea of seeing anyone else at the time.

I feel it is fair to the person I am seeing and it is fair to the person who might have sent me a message.

Are men on here really interested in marriage
Posted: 6/30/2009 9:51:20 AM
I am interested in marriage, but not in the first 5 minutes of a relationship.

For example, a lady that I met on here told me that she had plans for me to move into her house in 9 months and she was planning on getting married within a year. She had me getting a reversal of my vasectomy and having a baby with her. I have been out with this lady about 8 times. I told her that I was no longer interested in continuing the relationship.

If I find the right lady and we get along well and have the same "goals" in the long run, then I will definitely entertain the marriage idea. I am just not going to rush into it though. I was married for 10 years and liked many facets of my marriage.

so, why are you still single?
Posted: 6/30/2009 9:34:12 AM
I am still single because I have not found a person that I can not be without. I have friends who I was interested in at one point and still talk to regularly, but they have become friends and not lovers.

After reading some of the replys on here, it seems there are many reasons that somewhat relate to my situations I have gone through.

To the one lady who offers to pay, do you insist or just offer? Would you be offended if they guy said yes? Just a situation I have come across. If you are genuine in the offer, that is great.
