My theory is, that when someone stands you up, it's just a higher power weeding out the 'Riff-raff' for you. Imagine dating someone for months before finding out they were not worth it. Plus, doing that to someone is such bad karma that I am sure they get their 'come-upings' eventually.

This is so true... I always seem to see the really witchy women end up with really nice guys who cook, clean and take care of the kids and wouldn't even think of cheating on their wife. Then I've seen real slime balls with the nicest sweetest women, who put up with all the junk they send out. WHY?? I always seem to attract the 'fixer' uppers who think I can help them somehow......NO THANKS!!

No, I don't think I could either. It would mean giving up my own judgement, and who really wants a woman who gives up her own judgement to others. That does not mean that I would not appreciate my family's input on any potential future mate.

If a part of you feels like running, then I think you should run. Don't ignore your insticts. The way I see it: 1. Your insticts are right and there is something not right, that's why you don't 'feel the sparks'. 2. You just don't feel anything because it's not really right for you, in which case you should run so you don't hurt him. I would rather have somebody end a relationship than stay with me and they don't feel a spark. Everyone deserves 'Sparks' Good Luck!

I don't think I could do it either. However, those Bollywood movies do make it seem so easy and romantic.....if only life could be one big Bollywood movie..LOL!!! Why does it seem that love comes so easily for some and for the rest of us, we have to kiss the frogs, date the jerks and hope to God we don't get a stalker, pervert or Liberal (just kidding about this last one )

Hello All ~ I am new to this site. I have really enjoyed reading all the great posts here in the forums. I have a question for all of you out there. If you had the option of an 'Arranged Marriage' would you agree to one? I was watching a tv program the other night that talked about the advantages of an 'Arranged Marriage". Lower divorce rate, couples are matched based on their shared interests, families need to approve, and in most cases love grows after marriage becasue it was based on mutual respect and a shared goal to begin with. What do you think? Would you do it?
