If the sender is careful to respect the receivers criteria, and isn't being obnoxious or rude, then the sender deserves a response. Even if it is, "Thanks for the e-mail, but I'm looking for someone that________." The option is not really open if you are afraid to make the step. Let me assure you, a short term fling is much less damaging to your relationship than a polyamorous relationship is. I cant imagine spending even a year waiting! We are only here on this planet for (TOPS) 100 years, first (at least) 15 don't count here for this discussion, 50 (maybe 60) of them are left to physically be able to enjoy sexually and the rest to wrap up and spend with friends and family. If we have 50 years out of 100 of sex-able living, 2% of your life goes by yearly! Bottom line.
