well for me personally i'm dying to love again but i'm scared to death.....usually my problem is unrequited love..that is the worse torture you could go thru...i have a horrible habit of falling in love with emotionally stunted men especially one particular guy that had been giving me the hot and cold treatment for years....just when i'd give up on him and stop taking his calls he'd call me and dangle that proverbial carrot in front of me tell me how much he misses me etc...it's been 10 years since i've been in a loving relationship because of how much this one person pulverized my heart.....i'm trying to let myself go more but it's alot of hard work and determination

one thing i noticed with all the replies here is that people don't realize that depression is a chemical imbalance in your brain...people that truly have real depression can't be happy if they won a million dollars and the love of their life....(of course it couldn't hurt) lol personally i'd rather have my arm or leg broken then go through depression....physical pain heals alot faster than emotional and that's if it ever heals...

omg yes! didn't think men admitted to depression....most men i meet have the mentality to just say "snap out of it" that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard...i've been suffering with acute clinical depression for years...i'm medicated but it still takes ahold of me sometimes...now mind you i'm not someone that mopes around and cries all the time if anything i hide it by sarcasm which alot of people can't handle..(big babies) i consider myself intelligent and even pretty even though over the years i've gained weight being an emotional eater.....hey it's better than drugs or alcohol right? which is how i used to medicate myself...my selfesteem isn't the greatest but it's not because of my weight or looks, it's because the way i've been treated over the years and believe me i'm not a pushover that lets people walk all over me but i just seem to be an ahole or weirdoo magnet...oh well such is life... lol
