Mouth Shut or Tattle?

I'm curious ladies...
If you were "April" would you want to know if your..ahem..man wasn't into you? Or would it be better if the other guy just said nothing?

How much toilet paper is too much?
Posted: 9/17/2009 10:56:21 PM
"They" say the average person uses 7 pieces/strips of TP..count them the next time you do your business..it'll be 7 pieces/strips.

OT: I thought women stuffed and not men, don't some use socks, quarter rolls, etc?

As for men not using much TP, it's because we are always doing our business in someone else's toilet!

Can a company ask for medical information
Posted: 7/10/2009 5:46:06 PM
They can ask all they want. In most places, a doctor's note is sufficient but not required unless there is a habit of this going on with the employee.

Check your HR manual, most companies have one and it should state within.

Failing that, go find another job. I'm sure that there are other companies that would employ you.

Cooking classes in Edmonton?
Posted: 4/17/2009 1:16:15 PM
Done the thread search for this topic for Edmonton...couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know of any cooking classes that are available in Edmonton? I can watch all the channel 29's that I need but I can admit that I'd like to cook alot better and eat healthy at the same time! Besides who wouldn't want to cook for their better half or any half for that matter!

Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Living at home with your folks
Posted: 4/13/2009 2:19:21 AM
Be thankful that you are in the position to take care or help out your parents because for the most part, they helped you out when you were growing up.

I find it disturbing that people will critize other's for wanting to help out their parents by taking care of them in the 'latter years of their life'. I've lost both my parents and believe me, there is not a day that does not go by - that I do not think of them!

Like the poster above (Minako79) said - show them the door because they aren't worth it. I wonder if these same people would idly sit by as their own parents become unable to tend to themselves.

Good Luck to you, you only have your family "once"!

Help.... skunks?
Posted: 7/28/2008 5:04:54 PM
For cats it's easier to put all the ingredients in a toilet then throw the cat in and close the lid and stand on it for 5-7 minutes. The cat will take care of working it in. Then you just flush three times to rinse. Make sure the doors are all open all the way to the outdoors before lifting the lid!!!

Signed,
The dog.

or

1 bottle of hydrogen peroxide
1 box Baking soda
Dawn dishwashing soap
do not add any water

Mix it together and it become a paste. I put it directly on the dog and work it in. Make sure to be careful around the face and eyes. I leave it on for a bit then rinse the dog off. It works.

Dish soap will break up the oily base of the spray.
Hydrogen peroxide converts the sulfur compounds into sulfonic acid.
Baking soda will neutralize the acid formed.

Drench whatever you need deodorized. Rinse with clean water.

What is love?
Posted: 10/16/2007 5:35:24 PM
What is love.. such a profound question. One that you would think would have a simple answer but yet is quite complex!

Can love be that when you go to bed thinking about him or her and wake up thinking about that very same person the next morning. Or when you spend time with them, time almost seems to "stand still" and you not wanting to loose that time by being away from them, can that be love?

Such complexities with our simple lives.

Very good article nevertheless and some points to ponder. Are we all that "picky"? Umm...ok...maybe not all, but some are. Almost like some profiles which stipulate that you need a picture to contact but yet, they themselves don't have a picture. Go-figure!

Places to Volunteer in Edmonton?
Posted: 10/2/2007 6:02:45 AM
I've often wondered where or which organizations are in need of volunteers within Edmonton. I have done a search in POF, one poster recommended a website for Calgary volunteers, but I didn't see one for Edmonton. Is there one?
It seems that for myself (right now) after I have done what I have for myself, that I have some free time to give back to the community.

Any suggestions?

Baby "running" stroller?
Posted: 8/18/2007 7:22:30 PM
This might get deleted but one can never know. Have searched within but wasn't able to find anything.

Does anyone have any knowledge of a two-seater "running" stroller (3-wheel)? Have looked at "Toys-r-us", priced at $280.00 Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where these might be purchased? You'd think Walmart/Superstores would carry, but that's not the case.

Thanks in Advance.

Stolen Vehicles
Posted: 4/7/2007 12:40:53 AM
Generally speaking within Bylaw 5590 in Edmonton, it stipulates that the maximum amount of time any vehicle can be left on a city street is 3 days (72 hours) or it is considered by the City to be an "abandoned auto". After that, someone within the neighborhood usually calls the police to report an "abandoned auto". The process is quite simple after that. A parking enforcement officer shows up, does his or her initial investigation, places a 72 hour notice (bright orange sticker), tries to contact the owner (providing the information is correct from vehicle registries ie: correct phone number) from the information off the licence plate to advise the owner where the vehicle is and request compliance.
These parking enforcement officers do locate "stolen" vehicles on general area patrols and when it happens, the location of the vehicle is turned over to EPS for them to "recover it".
And yes the city is large and yes it would be nice to be able to locate a stolen vehicle quickly but we all know that is not the case.

womens profiles 90% more of womens profiles request the other person to b attractive whereas men just leave that to b a given and dont feel the need to state it, women do state it so therefore it would appear to b a higher priority
when was the last time u read a mans profile where it stated a woman to have firm tits and 6 pack abs? i highly doubt youll ever see that but lotsa women have that in there profiles
in truth women are more vanity oriented ,men on the other hand are more of what can make me happy oriented

Meeting women on here
Posted: 12/25/2006 7:44:51 AM
I think I can add something here...

Don't get discouraged if you see "read/delete or unread/delete". Even you will do that. I never thought I would, but sad to say, I have. I think people in here have so many choices if you will, it's hard to find a compatible person.

Don't know if you have a picture of yourself but it would be a good idea to have a current one (don't have one of yourself when you 2,5 or 10 years old) You don't have to display it just be prepared to show it to the person asking. They will ask and you still might get "read/delete", don't worry about that.

Good Luck with fishing, in time I'm sure you'll find that special person...either that or you'll bump into them at the supermarket, or the bank.

What is YOUR drink?
Posted: 12/15/2006 8:48:15 AM
Seven New York City bartenders were asked if they could nail a
woman's personality based on what she drinks. Though interviewed separately, they concurred on almost all counts.

The results:

Drink: Beer
Personality: Casual, low-maintenance; down to earth.
Your Approach: Challenge her to a game of pool.

Drink: Blender Drinks
Personality: Flaky, whiny, annoying; a pain in the ass.
Your Approach: Avoid her, unless you want to be her cabana boy.

Drink: Mixed Drinks
Personality: Older, more refined, high maintenance, has very picky taste; knows EXACTLY what she wants.
Your Approach: You won't have to approach her. If she's interested, she'll send YOU a drink..................

Drink: Wine (does not include White Zinfandel)
Personality: Conservative and classy; sophisticated yet giggles.
Your Approach: Tell her you love to travel and spend quiet evenings with friends.

Drink: White Zinfandel
Personality: Easy; thinks she is classy and sophisticated, actually, she has NO clue.
Your Approach: Make her feel smarter than she is....this should be an easy target.

Drink: Shots
Personality: Likes to hang with frat-boy pals and looking to get totally drunk... and naked.
Your Approach: Easiest hit in the joint. You have been blessed. Nothing to do but wait, however, be careful not to make her mad!

Drink: Tequila
No explanations required - everyone just KNOWS what happens there!

THEN, there is the MALE addendum ----

The deal with guys is, as always, very simple and clear cut:

Domestic Beer: He's poor and wants to get laid.

Imported Beer: He likes good beer and wants to get laid.

Wine: He is hoping that the wine will give him a sophisticated image to help him get laid.

Whiskey: He doesn't give a damn about anything but getting laid.

Tequila: He is thinking he has a chance with the toothless waitress.

White Zinfandel: He's gay

Water is a safe bet!

Being realistic....

For most people it wouldn't/doesn't matter if the other person has a disability, but for others it does matter. That's their personal choice, one that they live by day to day.

I am sure that your sister will no doubt find a man that will look beyond her disability and find her truly enchanting!

What's your seduction style?
Posted: 11/1/2006 6:49:53 PM
Your Seduction Style: Sweet Talker

Your seduction technique can be summed up with "charm"
You know that if you have the chance to talk to someone...
Well, you won't be talking for long! ;-)

You're great at telling potential lovers what they want to hear.
Partially, because you're a great reflective listener and good at complementing.
The other part of your formula? Focusing your conversation completely on the other person.

Your "sweet talking" ways have taken you far in romance - and in life.
You can finess your way through any difficult situation, with a smile on your face.
Speeding tickets, job interviews... bring it on! You truly live a *charmed life*

Sweet talker...my A$$...pffft..I must have clicked on something when I wasn't looking!

112 Innocence, 29 Variety, 85 Hunger, 76 Acceptance
There are varying degrees of innocence. You don't really need a test to gauge your past. You were there! But keep in mind, whether "pure as the driven snow", or extremely experienced, whether your mate likes innocence or skill, what makes it worthwhile is your willingness to be there, to participate from this point onward. Make the most of the future with your loved one.

For some people sex is just physical, and over as soon as the need is satisfied. Not for you. Your mate will feel truly wanted, desired, and craved! While some people have to doubt how their lover feels about them, yours will know.

This must be good then?
