What are women really looking for?

Golfgirl, I love you!
I can't speak for all women, but what I want, but have yet to find, is an honest man. I know there are gold-digging women out there and I'm sure that's the reason for the previous posts by men who've been burned by them, but don't judge us all by a select, misguided few.
In order of priority, I want a man who's........
Intelligent
Honest
Funny
Loyal
I read a lot of profiles on here where men put hints or even outright talk about their financial status. Then they get gold-diggers and wonder why. Make your profile about who you are and what you want, not what you have.
Believe me, there are male gold-diggers as well, so that trait's not gender specific.

Have you been judged for habits?

I think he was joking, Deli.
The fact is, there are habits all of us have that are deal-breakers. If someone wants to smoke cigarettes, that's certainly their right, but it's also my right not to date them. Frankly, it completely turns me off to kiss a man who smokes because I can't enjoy the kiss for the taste of cigarettes, which I don't enjoy.
It's not a judgement, it's a preference. Just like a guy who chews with his mouth open would completely turn me off, or someone who's dirty or sloppy in the way they take care of themselves.
So, yes, you will be turned down because of habits, looks, desires, opinions, whatever. The point is, there are "plenty of fish"....yes, I went there....so just don't sweat the people it bothers and move forward.
I don't know where you're from, Deli, but down south, an inordinate amount of people smoke. Maybe you should relocate.

How many people have actually went on a date using this site?

I've had two dates with men on this site. One was looking for a hookup and the other I couldn't get rid of after a few dates and I decided he just wasn't "the one."
Seems as though when I finally do run across someone who knocks my socks off, they're already seeing someone. Maybe it's because I don't really go "shopping" on here. I'm more passive and wait for men to contact me. One school of thought is that's why I'm not being contacted by men I really dig, because I'm not going after who I want. But I'm in no hurry and I figure eventually, someone I really like is going to contact me and at least I'll know that he's interested in me.
