I actually took my daughter to the hospital last weekend due to a soccer injury; turned out the radiology tech noticed me from this site. He and I have been talking every since.

Beautifully Stated
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin!

First I have to say I think that it is great that people are able to voice there opinions with honesty (the way it should be) and I applaud those of you who have done so here.
Now in my personal opinion, I believe that you need to have compatibility in several areas of your life, some of them being but not limited to...temperament, sociability, conformity, sex, religion and/or financial. There also needs to be some type of physical attraction (or as some would say chemistry), such as a persons eyes, lips, body, etc. whatever it is that particular person is into. It is true we aren't getting any younger and most of us are at a point in our lives that we should know exactly what it is we want or are looking for. I personally feel that I settled in my last relationship and I was unhappy, therefore, I have no intentions of settling this time around.
Now for the record, I never just omit someone because they don't meet what it is that I am looking for per-say, because they might just turn out to be a great friend in the end and who can't use a few new friends!
Anyways best of luck to all!!!

Hmmm...I drink a nice Shiraz or Merlot with dinner. Beer (either Corona or Bud) when I'm watching football or doing anything outdoors. And Tequila (patron silver) when I'm out with the girls, so what does that say about me???

Intention
Posted:
2/23/2006 3:20:01 AM
Petalz I want to commend you on expressing your opinon and pointing out that there are both men and women with bad intentions. Just as there are both men and women who truly have nothing but good intentions.
If you really think about it there truly are more people (both men and women) that have nothing but the best of intentions. Unfortunately, the people whom have bad intentions just really stick out in our minds more.
Now if you seem to continuely end up with people that have bad intentions maybe you should really think about what it is your looking for in someone and open yourself up to the possibility of exploring other options.
I believe that the best is yet to come so we should all just sit back relax and enjoy the ride whether it be good, bad or indifferent and try to learn from it as opposed to carrying around illgotten feelings.
Now I wish you all only the best and I hope you find what it is that you are searching for!

I'm not sure how a man would define being "Open Minded". However, I know that when I ask a man if he is "Open Minded" I'm usually feeling him out to see how far I can go and what I can or can not do! To be perfectly honest I am asking in regards to sexually... (Evil Grins)!

Getting swept off my feet would be fantastic. I think it truly is the little things that do it for me. I am a simple person and love the little gestures like a phone call just because, a fresh picked flower as opposed to a store bought one and so on.

Dateline - To Catch a Predator...
Posted:
2/5/2006 11:52:17 PM
The Las Vegas Police Department started doing stings here several months ago to catch predators from the internet who would actually go to meet children and when they get there they meet the Police and a camera crew instead! They have stopped many of the predators thus far and I applaud the LVPD.
I'm not one who usually wishes any kind of harm on anybody but in this situation I personally hope they get what they really deserve in jail...a nice big lonely cell mate!

LIBRA
Drinking style:
"I'm jusht a soshcial drinker," slurs Libra, “it's jusht that I'm so damn soshcial?" Libra loves nothing more than to party, mingle and relate to everyone. Whether dipped in favor of Good Libra (with Insta-Friend device set to "on") or heavier on the Evil Libra side (they are little instigators when bored), the Scales can really work a room. Charming as they are, Libras are notoriously lacking in self-control, however, which can get them into all sorts of trouble -- including wearing their wobbly boots waaaay too early in the evening, flirting with their best friend's beau or even blacking out the night’s events entirely. Oops!

Slice of Pizza??
Posted:
2/2/2006 9:59:55 AM
About 6 years ago my children decided to make me dinner for Mothers Day which was pizza with pepperoni's, extra cheese, black olives, reeses pieces, skittles and peanut m&m's! Needless to say it was wrong on many levels but I choked it down anyways! Besides it was better then the breakfast they made which was scrambled eggs (shells included) an over abandance of salt and pepper with burnt sausage and burnt toast that had about a half a tub of butter! Gotta love those special moments! And I am pleased to say that they can actually cook really good now.

Politically Correct Expressions

Here are just a few you left out when it comes to being politically correct with men...
He is not "BALDING" - He is in "FOLLICLE REGRESSION."
He is not a "CRADLE ROBBER" - He prefers "GENERATIONAL DIFFERENTIAL RELATIONSHIPS."
He does not get "FALLING-DOWN DRUNK" - He becomes "ACCIDENTALLY HORIZONTAL."
He does not act like a "TOTAL ASS" - He develops a case of "RECTAL-CRANIAL INVERSION."
He is not a "MALE CHAUVINIST PIG" - He has "SWINE EMPATHY."
He is not afraid of "COMMITMENT" - He is "RELATIONSHIP CHALLENGED."
He is not "HORNY" - He is "SEXUALLY FOCUSED."
It's not his "CRACK" you see hanging out of his pants - It's "REAR CLEAVAGE".

Help
Posted:
1/27/2006 11:08:38 AM
Hey Fallen,
I'm not sure if this will help you any however I want you to know that life does go on and you will be fine. I was married to my first husband at 18 we were extremely happy and had a son. By the time I was 21, I was a widow due to an accident. It was one of the hardest things I have ever been through and I shared the same feelings you are having now. I decided to seek help in counseling so that I could take control of my emotions and it really does help.
Now no one will ever compare to him because everyone is so different and that's what makes this a great world. Just know that even though he will always be in your heart there is still enough room to love again.
As far as the move goes at least you will have some help. There are many people out there who have no help at all (I know, I was one of them). It may not seem like it now but sweetie you will make it!
And I agree with the others you are much stronger then you think and things will turn out fine. Best of luck to you and I wish you much love and happiness!

Good job with the potty training!
Being a mother of 3 boys and 1 girl I found that they are all equally challenging. However, my daughter was much quicker and trained by 14 months. My boys took a bit longer and the way I actually got them trained was I would let them go in the back yard and draw pictures likes snakes...lol...anyways it kept them interested and worked wonderfully so they were all trained by 2.

I honestly don't think that men are pigs! Yes, there are some anal ones out there but for the most part there are a lot more nice ones when they are given a chance.
If you are always ending up with the not so nice ones then perhaps you should re-think what it is you are really looking for! (That's only a suggestion and not to be misconstrued offensive)!
Best of luck to all!

Just in case you ever got the two mixed up, this should make things a bit more clear....
IN PRISON...you spend the majority of your time in an 8X10 cell.
AT WORK... you spend the majority of your time in a 6X8 cubicle.
IN PRISON...you get three meals a day.
AT WORK...you only get a break for one meal and you pay for it.
IN PRISON...you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK...you get more work for good behavior.
IN PRISON...the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK...you must carry around a security card (or a key to the building) and open all the doors for yourself.
IN PRISON...you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK...you get fired for watching TV and playing games.
IN PRISON...you get your own toilet.
AT WORK...you have to share with some idiot who pees on the seat.
IN PRISON...they allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK...you can't even speak to your family.
IN PRISON...all expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required.
AT WORK...you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.
IN PRISON...you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.
AT WORK...you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.
IN PRISON...you must deal with sadistic wardens.
AT WORK...they are called managers.

(This one seems to be annoyingly funny)...You must be exhausted, because you've been running through my mind all night.
Now for the funniest rejection...CALL THIS # (702)386-5397 and listen. (I give out this number to persistant people that just have to have my number).
I have to admit that I think it is still adorable when a man asks for help picking out fresh fruit. (I still fall for that one most of the time).
