The most Riveting 40 minutes on Health Care Reform..
Posted:

Theres a long list of what is wrong with this county and health care. At the primary focus of it is personal responsibility (or glaring lack there of)
1/3 of America is obese. That cascades into diabetes, kidney issues, liver dysfunction, cardio disease, lung failure, circulatory issues.....
If 1/3 of y'all got up, got some exercise, took accountability for your own health situation.... how many assets would be freed up to take care other patients?
Going to the ER for a cough or sniffles or using it because you know you cant be turned away, dont need a referral? That type of behavior has negated the effectiveness of 3 local ER facitities. One will no longer see you unless you are bleeding, unconsicous, or the landed in care due to an ambulance or helicopter ride.
Now for this windbag. Look, sorry your dad fell out of bed. It sucks. Be glad that it is indeed not 1842, because he would have only lived to be 45 anyways. If your dad was in such a deminished state, why was there not more conserted effort on their own behalf to remedy it. The fall alert devices have been around since the 80s. Its a minimal service fee monthly and available in a necklace or wrist band. So he falls out of bed, pushes it, and is not subject to a day of dehydration, hallucinations, renal failure and dementia. IT wasnt my responsibility to ensure his health, but you can se a large swath of forthought and responsibility was missed.
The portion I dont like about this bill is that it is FORCED CONSCRIPTION. It is a DRAFT. If you can go to jail for not enrolling, not participating, it is a DRAFT. Pay attention hippies, you were against the first one back in Vietnam, this should be easy for you now.
If I have taken care to responsibly align for my health care needs privately, I should not be required to take part in this plan. There is no opt out.
If you neighbor doesnt have a car, do you feel the community should get to gether and pool its resources and everyone that is in the town should be forced to contribute to purchase a car for him ? How is he going to be a productive member of society and get to work if he doesnt have a car? And really, looking at his current wages, they would only afford him a car of low quality and questionable reliability, you should as a civic responsibility buy him a new car, and one of status so he doesnt fel embarassed about having to drive a Diahynditzuiki. Because in the end here we are talking about his eventual death, if you dont buy him a car. What kind of heartless bast@rds are you all that you would deny him access to a vehicle?

Question regarding pedophiles and the law

Heres the problem with your courts. A 'Life' sentence equates to about 7 years, Why else do you have people with Life sentences eligible for parole, and heinous crimes getting awarded multible life sentences?
There should be a good old fashioned town gatherin, and a lynchin, guillotine, or draw & quarter, firing squad or arena hyenia matches should be performed.

Just found out this weekend that my 34 year old cousin is now a grandma. I am opting out of that whole family dynamic.

government healthcare
Posted:

Want to know how govt Health Care will work? Look no further than the H1N1 virus administration. You have lines, you have geographic shortages, you have disparity of costs, you select segments of priveleged getting it without any wait (talking Goldman Sacs, not healthcare workers) and you of course have the deaths. 4000 of them. From a SAFE vaccination......
Yep, I want the government administering healthcare.
On the upside, the money I invested in Tamiflu back in march is paying dividends in the quad digits. ;)

I am realizing that there is a lot more game playing out there then I want to do. I have zero tolerence for it. the whole rules of this that and the other, I think we put up too many barriers and fronts. The forums have really opened my eyes to alot of the superficial fake shallow overgeneralizations that people want to use when they are feeling insecure, wounded, lonely, bored or mean.
Heres a pickle, get over it.

Why some men never want marry?
Posted:
11/7/2009 10:21:09 PM
Its date 3, " I dont ever want to get married, or have kids. EVER. Ive had an operation for one, and I will cut the finger off before I put a ring on it. "
Cant make it any more clear than that. Still have had LTRs for several consecutive years. The last one was 14 years in duration. So its not really a commitment thing. I just dont value embrace want desire or think that they need to be a part of my life for kids or marriage.
Funny (stupid, not ha-ha) is that they all thought I would change for THEM. There are some that are just not the marryin breedin kind; and I know my position.

nope, I will pay attention to them just as much as the rest. Now if you a bottle fed blonde, then I will steer clear alltogether. To me that just seems ungenuine. Like changing your hair color will change how you feel about yourself? IF you are loathing in self pity about; blondes really dont have more fun. Its the girl equivelant of a toupee.

Why some men never want marry?
Posted:
11/6/2009 1:41:32 AM
Career Bachelor. Retired after 15 years in the military. I see nothing in civilian life that makes me ever consider wedding. Joining back up in the service after my Masters, give the Navy another 20 years out at sea.
Why no marriage?
All of my relatives are divorced, every single one of them. I never met my father (why, because of a divorce)
Whats the point of marriage? to have kids? I hated being a kid, I aint ever having any
All of my friends from highschool that I still keep in touch with, divorced, every single one of them.
All of my male coworkers at the shop, except for the owner, DIVORCED.
It aint Ozzy and Harriet, it aint Leave it to Beaver.
So why would I ever give up the freedom I have now, for the forfeiture of half of my stuff, and future wage earnings? Its a loosing proposition for men, especially if you have a career, a house, a set of cars, a well pensioned portfolio and a strict career ambition.
If I want to pick up my bags and head off to E Timor with the next ship, guess what, I CAN. You dont get that in a marriage.

Should the President render salutes to military personnel ?
Posted:
11/6/2009 12:58:42 AM
show of hands, how many of y'all did any time in uniform?
If you did you would know the answer to this. Being in Uniform, you are Required to salute him, and you are required to hold your salute until it is returned. Its a very formal protocal in the UCMJ. The junior service member shall render hand salute, unless under arms, to all officers superior. If officers of the same rank, then hand salute will be rendered in fashion with in walking distance with in reasonable time. Failure to salute is an article offense that will get you standing in front of a courts martial.
If you are in uniform, try it sometime, you will find out very quickly, you are on the wrong side of that arguement.

Guns a right but healthcare a privelage?
Posted:

Heres really the only way I am ok with any money coming out of my pocket for this fiasco (why because I am fiscally responsible and capable of taking better care of myself then that government)
If they DNA type, catalogue, record and profile EVERY patient birthed, screened, admitted, treated and made that data accessible to law enforcement. (subpeno required for query, not collection) Then I would be ok with it.
If they made Finger printing and National identity a caveat to care with a new national health card. Deportation for illegal alien population. Then I am ok with it.
Convert one prision in every state to 'free' care. hey, they have the facilities for it. You can check out when your social debt is paid off.
Other wise, you are just throwing more money down a hole, paying off special interest groups, propping up drug companies, shoring up comminity pork barrel orginizer groups, and supporting the machine of Medicare, Medicaid, AARP, private insurance and unions in a piecemeal fracture jigsaw puzzle that is destoned to fail.

government healthcare

Immigration.... yeah theres a nasty mess they havent even thought about. So a national health care plan for all residents..... or did you mean citizens. Health care facilities are not prepared to verify citizenship prior to treating an illness, no are the capable of completing eligibility in the current situation. 80 percent of all hospital bills have errors, from coding, to patient data, to billing information. Its a mess.
So one big healthcare plan is gonna fix that? Are you prepared to start reporting and deporting people that access the healthcare system without eligibility? (no they are not) So what does the new legislation solve. Well they are on their 15th itereation of it, so it is up to anybody's guess. But it will mean more beaucracy, more money out of your paycheck, less ease in getting care, and it wont solve the immigrant issue that has plagued health care since the safe haven laws of the 70s.
At 1900 pages, and with an 800 page adendum; you know the legislators havent read it, much less comprehend the impact of it. That nagging feeling at the back of your head, and that sinking feeling in your stomach; symptoms of the new 'Change'

depending on where she is (as the case is for me locally)
If I say I am talking to someone on POF, and she has a friend that is also is on POF, chances are I have chatted to both of them. Its not so much a player, as the local fishing hole is really small. Throw the search net out there in 15 miles to 50 miles and it will be the same dozen cast of characters.
Its enough to make you quit fishing locally. which I did.

theres frequency and then theres ferocity, and if ya lackin em both, well its wonder why anyone stays married.
Try this one (I have several friends that have)
During your engagement put a penny in a jar for every time you have feelskis, a nickel every time you have oral, a dime every time you do missionary, a quarter for every other time that it was 'out of the norm' go get married, have the honeymoon.
The next week, pull the coin out based on the same criteria. During the span of your marriage, that jar will never be emptied.
I have three friends that still have the 'wedding jar' none of them are empty.

Why is it such a stigma to be an older bachelor?

Bachelor is not the sour grapes opt out that y'all think it is.
I have NEVER wanted to get married. I have NEVER wanted kids. I hated being a kid, I dont enjoy being around kids, and personally there are enough kids on the planet that I dont ever have to reproduce. I got my Shiate cut when I was 18. Being a bachelor is not a default of because of not being married, its a choice (for me anyways) to remain un-married.
I just dont see the point in it. Now that doesnt mean that I dont have my fair share of fun, but by date 3 everybody gets the no kids, no marriage memorandum, if not earlier.
A suburban life and all of its trappings... wife, kids, mortgaged house, 9-5 job, over extended credit, bank leased car, .... never wanted any part of it.
OPT out, early and often. Travelling in the spring, maybe this time I dont come back.

Hmmm, deception? How many think you've been deceived on here?

Look left, look right, look in the mirror. Chances are one of those lied to you.
