LOL, well how do these women do it? I have seen my share of profiles from women who were a hell of a lot more uptight than what I posted, during the era when the number of people who have favorited a profile can be seen (they were favorited anywhere from 30 to over 100 times, one such woman had around 400), and that's where I got the idea where frankly expressing what I don't want in a mate was acceptable. But seriously, what I wrote when I first made this thread was a little worse than what you see now. And what do you propose would be a more diplomatic way of expressing the first half of what you quoted from my profile, since I really do not a woman with those traits.
As for the pics, what I had before were downright embarassing and I'm glad that I can replace them with relatively better ones. What do you suggest would be an ideal pose for a profile pic?

Four months later, after doing a series of overhauls, I am still stagnant. My pictures are a lot better, but the problem would have to be how I'm positioned. And I'm sure that my description could use a little tweaking.

Suspicious of bogus accounts...

When I was using the New Users search, I saw a user that seemed interesting to me, so I clicked on her profile. But when I saw it, I noticed something a little off, that one of her interests was "Going to the strip club". Being suspicious, I clicked on that, and lo and behold, it turned up several dozen other accounts, which were all almost identical to each other, save for pictures and location. Most of the About Me sections were phrased a little differently but said more or less the exact same thing as each other, and the First Date section contained some variation of "I normally leave it up to the guy!". Has anyone noticed this? Are these accounts really bogus?

What are your deal breakers

Let's see here...
Kids.
If I see this on any POF profile, I'm hitting hit the back button. I'm not going to raise another man's kids.
Being addressed as "Papi".
A major put-off. If I date a woman who thinks that it's a good idea to address me as that, then I'll remind her once, and only once, that I am not her dad. Being addressed by her as if I'm her dad seriously creeps me out. If she gets upset or tries to do it again, then I'm dumping her on her ass.
Tattoos/piercings.
Sorry, not my thing.
Degrees in either Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Education.
It gets real boring when around two-thirds of the POF women with a college education are studying for one of those degrees. I prefer someone who's studying something a little bit more challenging, or at least something different.
Drug users.
I'll just say that I won't allow my money and stuff to turn up missing for some reason.
Leading me on to believe that we are dating, and then telling me later on that you just want to be friends.
If you want to be just friends with me, then please let me know at the very beginning (or on POF) before we first agree to meet. But if you say that we are dating, then we are dating, otherwise I am severing all ties with you. I am not going to waste my time with that kind of indecisiveness and deception, when I could be with a woman who really does want to be my girlfriend.
That's it for now.

I smoothed some of it out, but certain edges are meant to be rough.

Well, I focus on what I don't want since I want to make sure that the women that I get are the ones with whom I can be most satisfied. Could it be that the women who otherwise meet my standards are put off by the negative criteria that I have set?
I just clarified the piercings part.

I spent several weeks trying to perfect my profile, but I'm not getting the results that I want. I am wondering if there are certain stuff on it that should be removed, or if I should add some more stuff to it to make it more presentable. Right now, I think that the biggest flaw are the pictures, but I hope that I can remedy that by around next week.
