the cowboys got their tight end in escobar uh what wait we're good at tight end and in the second round? oh no a first round offensive lineman whats goin on. cowboys sign anthony hardgrove oh ok that makes a little more sense and with the acquisition of a couple of defense backs and running back makes more sense.

the cowboys with murray and ex cowboy running back felix jones(nice ring to it) had a horrible last year. when someone said demarco was accident prone they wasnt just whistling dixie murray must go.....

Is anyone else watching All Star Celebrity Apprentice?
Posted: 5/9/2013 4:10:05 PM
i dont know why its called all star with people like dennis rodman and a few others ive never heard of but other than that, i like it. its funny watching these kind of people at each others throat..... and do not want to be fired.

i missed last sundays episode when elaine nardor was fired. trace atkins looks like a good contender to win the thang.

next season i hope they can get charlie sheen or some higher profile persons after all its for charity

Romo and Dallas Cowboys
Posted: 3/29/2013 9:02:56 PM
lets flash forward about 6 years or so....

2013 Romo signs hundred million dollar contract while jerry jones is all smiles.some fans are kissing there tushes goodbye for 2013. that shall be the case if romo cannot fire this team up.
the last game of 2012 looked as though the theboyz were already bent and wore out of shape and couldn't have played another game if the season depended on it.....in the offseason getting rid of a few coaches and a couple of players only makes it look good.

but anywho 2013 and beyond (6 year deal) should be an interesting scenario.

one thing about it goin into 2013 and if i have anything to say about it the cowboys are still americas team baby

This Week In Baseball
Posted: 2/19/2013 7:52:53 PM
this has got to be one of the oldest living threads to date and i apologize for skippin basketball but it aint lookin good for my mavericks which may miss the playoffs for the first time 10 or 11 years in a row ive lost count.

turnin to the matter at hand this week ex-ranger josh hamilton.....
he at hand with the rangers was able to turn his career around and we all remember the home run derby in new york city, after that it skyrocketed. now he wants to bad mouth some of the fans that got him there and dont wanna get his feelings hurt.
so the off season hes gets traded to our arch rival angels (remember he said god was speakin to him) where yesterday he was quoted in saying if ranger fans boo him blah blah blah he will get booed for his lolly-gaggin in the outfield which led the rangers to get rid of him.

may be the only bright spot for the rangers this year striking out hamilton, rangers not lookin bad at pitchin.

golfer i have many great memories with my son watching 3 cowboy superbowls together.
im with newearthling if your team is not in it, it takes a lot out of ya. even when the boys were in it i'll be watching from home as always.
its a goodtime to rearrange some furniture in the living and bedroom area and to start some early inside spring cleaning and with early work starts on the followin mornings im usually asleep by the 3rd quarter.
you have to feel for people whos team has not yet made it to the Super Bowl or even the one hit wonders, i cant imagine what that must be like.
oh and if i sneeze or turn my my head i'll miss janet jacksons boob!

i stand by my team win or lose or jerry jones and we may not be goin to the super bowl but we still got the glory.

its the offense that has carried the saints threw these so called glory years you aint gotta tell me. the defense has always been a question mark for them, people hurt? but boy thats scraping the bottom of the barrel to have the worst 2012 defense in the history of the NFL.

well, with that offense they probably dont have to make that many adjustments on defense

but you can bet when the skins lose out their thread will be dead.
nothin to do with anybody in here, im pulling for the skins a good o nfc east team. they looked like a collage team last night and certainly punched the cowboys lights out.

i have to correct myself, the final game of the past 2 regular seasons not 3. sometimes my sources are not that great, i believe anything you say.

now with andy reed gone, would he make a good offensive coordinator? i think just havin him around would put the scare into players.

true but the cowboys have more depth i think than anybody realized. heck if it werent for one of the main starters fumbling on the goaline who knows what would have happened.

for the third year in a row the cowboys are goin into the final game of the year with playoff implications and they are 0 and 2. sunday nite they'll try and break that streak.

Christmas..
Posted: 12/24/2012 12:20:09 PM
it wont be christmas eve until sunset but imagine what was happening over 2000 years ago.
mary and joesph had been traveling and camping out along the way towards bethleham. nights grow cold in that part of israel, at almost every time of the year. they would have had a fire and probably other travelers were with them. as mary was beginning to feel birth pangs joesph would have been worried. would they make it to their destination on time or would mary have to give birth to jesus in the open.
on christmas eve lets not foget what it meant to them and what it means to us.
merry christmas

demarco murray that is. in case anybody missed it there was a play in the steeler game where his uniform pants were pulled down and his bare buttocks were exposed. ive been watchin football for 50 years and never seen anything like that.

since the saints bounties have been overturned seems they have been playin better ball.

but will see which team shows up tomorrow, im looking for a repeat of last week

tight score, overtime, miracle finish

thanks nygaintsfan i always root for an nfc east team when they are not playin the cowboys or in a important divisional game.
with all the injuries this year, we have a healthy demarco murray. i think that could be the difference, if not you will be hearin about it from me. oh by the way nice butt demarco ha.

i like 10 and 6 but at 9 and 7 and a win over the skins, wins the division

been a strange last week and half in nfl with the kc linebacker and now josh brent, jay ratliffe of the cowboys. ratliffe is lucky to have a job after a heated agrument with jerry jones.
now these players that are hurt, are they hurt enough to where they cant play? seems these players come here to collect pay checks and then lolly gag. they thrive playing on america's team and know win or lose they will be successful.

MGMLION->Congratulations to Tony Romo...The Dallas Cowboys All-time leader in touchdown passes
when you dont have a running game thats what happens. troy aikman didnt throw alot of them because emmitt ran for most of them.

cowboys lucky to come out of cincinnati with a win. cowboys new worst enemys are seattle and chicago.

before the giants or eagles (the redskins longest standing rivalry w/ the cowboys) a rivalry as some cowboys fans would know it, w/ the browns. then about as quick as they came they disappeared.
the cowboys can get within one game of the giants with a win over the browns. i would not want to be colt mccoy tomorrow.

as of this week its lookin like the wild card spots are gonna be sewed up in other nfc divisions. the only way any nfc east team is gonna make the playoffs, winning the division outright.

its always a battle between any nfc east team playing the cowboys. this years first meeting with the eagles is being labeled as the "desperation bowl". thats pretty well self explanatory in what happens to the loser.

i didn't see but heard some of jimmy johnsons program on the nfl network i dont pay for cable, not until it comes down to 5.99 a month. but jimmy was reminding everyone how great of a dallas cowboy coach he was. for me theres not one without the other period, meaning jerry jones.

the only beef i have with jones is his selecting of coaches. dave campo (the list could get longer) his biggest mistake, we have all made mistakes.

now back to present time w/ the same problems of ten years ago the falcons game, penalties were down and so were the turnovers.
at the end of that game i liked the short passes to set up a more designed play, instead of just going for the hail mary.

from the horses mouth if the cowboys should lose the rest of their games garrett will not be fired.

if the saints had any kind of running backs they would have the best offense and worse defense.saints are the worse in rushing offense and i thought the cowboys were bad.

the defense has been a problem for the saints from the word get go. except 2010 was a good year for them maybe the best year ever. pete you right its not looking any better with a hungry eagle team coming up.

heart goes out to people who've lost in this storm. bad disadvantage living close to coastal waters. texas being big we never had to deal with hurricanes so far inland.

pety we do have our fair share of storms. but after frankenstorm im not sure who has it worse. with the brutal winters you would have to say that its worse up north.

texas' periodic hails storms, tornados, the lightning, flooding it goes on and on. i feel for people who go thru this. for myself the only impact ive ever seen is a broken windshield.

i dont know what the worlds record low is for a teams total rushing yardage in a game but the cowboys got 19 today. probably because romo threw 62 passes 4 to the giants. oh two wasnt his fault hogwash, it left his hand did it not?

romo came within one drive today in getting benched, his closest call since he's became a starter. but after that nifty little comeback orton can sit back down.

last play of the game romo throws the ball out of the back of the end zone doesnt want another intercept i suppose.

looking at some east coast web cams this morning one in particular, kill devil hills, nc. this is just a cat 1 and seeing the levees getting pounded makes you see how fragile the east coast is. not to mention the other systems coming in to make matters worse.

even hurricane katrina was category 3 when it hit landfall. that would devastating for the east coast.

at times eli seems to be running for his life when playin against the cowboys. more power to him hes never lost at cowboy staduim.
cowboys are up for an upset.
should be a good bbq eatin kind of a game with hard runner phillip tanner starting.
giant fan on cowboys defense 2 key starters are out and anybody who says that doesnt matter is full of bologna.

well the way i figure the cowboys have a chance if they can score a touchdown and kick 12 fieldgoals.

MGMLION -) 481 yards

in the good ol days they would win most of those games.

been a finger pointing, cuss slinging, blame game kind of a week.
is it the players or the coaches? my name is in the hat and says its the players. its starts on the offensive confusion line, the same problem the cowboys have had since wade.

but if bailey makes that kick people would have them goin to the super bowl

Yule liquor-> you can't blame the 'meltdown' on the loss of those 2 players alone.

its very possible and to add to that neftali felix was out this year who was a big factor last year. all three of these players I've named were the top pitchers for the rangers last year.
not too mention the josh hamilton situation who now will be testing free agency. i hope he returns.

so i'll just sit back and watch other teams play in the world series, be like the old days

Yule liquor-> Glad to see them kick the rangers in the proverbial nuts

who could have saw that coming one of the most biggest meltdowns in sports history. if it were football the coaching would be fired. rangers were up 13 games to the a's and blew it. i dont know what is was worse losing a world series game clincher or a total collapse. losing lewis for the season and ogando to tha bull pen was huge, between those two last year combined for 27 wins. pitching beats hitting we all found that out in the last two world series.

the last two nl teams to play in the world series are in the nlcs again this year. tony larussa maybe kicking himself for having a another possible title slipping out from under his belt.

this the first time ive seen the bucs since the last time the cowboys played them. not too shabby but look for michael bennett to be fined (again no penalty) for a helmet to helmet on romo. i thought romo was gonna have to be taken out but he recovered.

up until the last 2 minutes the cowboy defense held the bucks offense under 100 yards and 7 points.

the home opening day crowd was loudest during dez bryants 44 yard punt return.

one thing on the kneel down....to bad the bucs dont try that the whole game....they might be winning and not losing

one week your up the next week your down, sounds like a .500 season. its the coaches responsibility to keep players tuned and ready for play. garrett and co fell flat on their face against the seahawks, after beating the giants. one of if not the worse game head coached by garrett since his inception.
the players did not seem to be in the game, like their minds were wondering elsewhere.

but the talk of the town is golden tates hit on lee. i was wondering if he would get fined and as it has turned out probably so. being a first offense it will be a meager 21,000, another 21,0oo should be (but probably not) tacted on for the celebration afterwards.
these replacement refs have got to go. the nfl needs to get off their greedy duffs and get them back.

they sure looked like shutdown dbs (footsteps) or probably close to it.
3 nfc east teams have a chance for a 2 and 0 start. redskins have not done it since'07, the eagles who did not know how to lose sunday '04 and the cowboys '08. so its not so uncommon for all the teams in the east to get off to a good start.
last time the cowboys were in seattle remember what happened? it will be remembered as one of the ones of all times in cowboy history that got away.

i thought that when the giants intercepted romo and did not get it in the end zone was huge. the defense held the super bowl champs to no touchdowns in the first half.

ive never seen coach garretts intensity level so high. romos second biggest victory (off the top) the other being the playoff win.

a note on the offense: the cowboys have their running back hopefully he can stay healthy. very impressed with the recieving core but, holy crud our center gets hurt 3rd play out?

in the last 40 years or so the steelers have become the greatest team in the afc, some would say the greatest.the cowboys could not beat the steelers in the '70's super bowls. being said that, the steelers had one of the best teams ever in the nfl.

they are on the cowboys schedule at week 15 as always should be a great game.

How did you choose your screen name?
Posted: 9/2/2012 3:12:24 PM
its obvious where HD comes from. HD was not as popular when i chose to use it 3 years ago. nowadays everything is advertised with HD in it.

lookin back to when you had to have the little black box and we were given a timeline to buy a new tv (to help the economy) to get the crystal clear channels, even with rabbit ears. i still have one of those black boxes in my bedroom with a 25 inch rca i bought over 10 years ago and i guess that thang is never gonna peter out.

ive been somewhat successful here on a dating site with HD.

there is a new technology coming out soon thats beyond 3d could be a little pricey. its ok...... i'll just keep my clear picture 55 inch HD and oh by the way i still use rabbit ears.

there were 4 sweeps last year in the nfc east meaning the division pretty much beat themselves up.but its nice of pete to bring up a fact that the east was one of the worse divsions last year.

living in the past? dont let your all timers kick in, the giants winning the super bowl last year they are from the east remember?that stands for something.

i wont go into the past too much but we know what the nfc east has been like in the nfl the last 50 years! something no other division will be able to duplicate, not in my life time anyways.
