The reason I am trying internet dating is because I haven't found anyone yet. I live in a small town (less than 600 people for all you people who think that less than 10,000 is a small town. And I am on here because I haven't found anyone at "churches, parks stores, malls, concerts, bars...." Because I already know everyone there and my match is not there. If you have so much against internet dating, then why are you even here?

"I know several women that consistently date below average guys" I think that's because most women naturally have lower self-esteem than men. I mean, Angelina dated Billy Bob, right? And Kate Moss dates anyone who is not that attractive. Men have been told over and over by their parents that they are the greatest thing ever. Some men today have chronic high self-esteem (better known as big egos see Kanye West syndrome). It is the same kind of thinking that leads normal guys to think that they could win the UFC championship if they just worked out a little more and that they could totally be in the NFL/NBA/MLB (take your pick) if the coach just hadn't taken them out during that last game in high school.

I disagree with the "wanna get laid, show yer abs" because that is one of my absolute turn-offs. I never contact a man with shirtless pics because it makes me feel like they're shallow and full of themselves ( I may be wrong, but that's how I feel).

Well, I see that there is a lot of advice on the actual kiss, but I wanted to add my two cents as well. I think that the moment before the first kiss can be just as exciting as the kiss itself. Try to linger for just a few extra seconds while looking into her eyes.

One of the things that really helped me when I was in a similar situation with a guy that I periodically fooled around with for about five years was realizing that I couldn't make him who I wanted him to be. It sounds really easy, but when you are involved with someone to this degree, it can be hard to admit. Well, I hope this helps and I wish you luck in finding love!
