I am just wondering if there is anything I could do to improve my profile? I thought that it was a fairly good one but I guess not as I haven't met anyone yet. Can anyone help me out with some words of wisdom?? It would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!! Singer

Hey all! Holy mackie! Are you starting out here too? Just can't stay away from the POF scene huh? Let me tell you guys about this fabulous lady!! We have had our share of POF parties and we had a blast at every one! Mackie knows how to party with the best of them! I wish I was out there with ya darlin'! You don't realize how much you actually miss someone til you have to party without them! And I DO MISS YOU!! Oh well, maybe one day I can get out your way and we can show them how we do it in Ontario and they can show us how they do it Alberta style! Hell, we can mix the 2 and really get things going! HAHA! This is a question for both men and women. If you send someone an IM request, do you find it rude if they open the window and then close it without saying a word? Or would you prefer for them to say something like Thanks but no thanks? Or vice versa? If someone send you an IM request and you weren't really interested in them would you just say thx bu no thx or just close the window? What are your views guys?

Does anyone know if there have ever been POF events for single parents and how they went? Posted: 7/11/2007 5:55:49 AM
I am thinking about starting one up but would like to know if anyone has tried it in the past and how it turned out? I know it would depend on the location and such but just getting some feedback for now. We all know what it is like to be a single parent (those of us that are anyway) and maybe meeting others like ourselves would be alot easier! Happy Fishing all!

Personally I would rather date someone who has kids! At least that wayI know that they are going to be sincere about the time that they spend with me and appreciate that time as well. I love the time that I spend with my kids but I also enjoy the time away sometimes too! Anyone that has kids that live with them on a full time basis can relate to this sometimes! LOL But single fathers are to be commended for taking on the responsiblities. Single moms have been doing it for years! Anyone wanna get a single parents event going?

This is for all the new people who are coming out! This is a much smaller event than they have at 55 so you can't expect the same things as you would get there! Here you will feel welcome and not ignored! Especially by these 2 great hosts!! They will do their best to give you a great impression of how a POF party should be thrown!! They will make you come away with a feeling of"That was great!! When is thenext one?" And if you want to try one of the Barrie parties and compare afterwards so be it but you will be back! 55 holds alot more people and is not as personal! So give this one a try, you know you wanna!! Just came across this thread! I was there on the Thursday nite and I was right beside the stage! Touched them all!! I have seen them every year for the past 6 yrs! They rock totally! It is even better when you are rocking with them like 2 feet away!! Looking forward to the next concert!!!

I am a single mom with 3 boys. I know how it is to have people not want to get involved. I would much rather date someone who has kids because then they can relate to everything that I have to go thru with mine. As I am sure that they are going thru the same things! LOL Kudos to all the single dads out there for stepping up where some of them can't take the responsibility seriously enough. If anyone would care to chat anytime, just give me a shout! Well, I have to say that the turn out was pretty good for being the first Midland party! I am really sorry that I didn't make the whole nite! Next time I will! Totally sucks that I am going to have to miss the first Midland party and renag on being a co-host. Hey all! This is the very first Midland party so let's make it a good one so that people want to come back again and again! If you have any friends who are on here that don't know about it, tell them! Get them to tell their friends and so on. Bring your friends who aren't on POF. Once they see how much fun we can have they will want to join up too! Word of mouth is the best way to get things spread around! Mystic and Qt_Tibbs are great people and they will make everyone feel welcome. Especially those of you who haven't been to a get together! Let these guys take you in and make you feel comfy. It will be a blast!

I don't think what we are looking for is unrealistic but it takes time to find what you are looking for. I have been on a few dates with men that I met thru this site and they have been very nice. But then something comes out that kinda kills it! LOL I am not afraid to wait for what I deserve! Like dadevil, I have settled for less in the past and I am not willing to do that anymore!
