MUDS!!! Played MUDS like crazy growing up then the internet/PC's evolved all these cooler graphical multiplayer games like warcraft, warcraft 2, Quake, subspace, starcraft, diablo. Diablo being the fist one I would sit an play for so many hours on end....

I've been considering PC repair on the side. I did Consumer and SMB workstations for a long time for Dell. Ive since moved to a managed IT services company, now I strictly deal with local SMB and enterprise clients, all aspects of their network. Much more rewarding and less hassle.
OP: You can't really trust anyone to be honest. Ive been in the industry a long time, seen a lot of things.
My only advice is try to stick with a service or ad that boasts flat rates and at home service so you can be present for the fix. IT is hard sometimes not to have to give your PC to the tech unless they carry a variety of parts on them, in most cases there is just too many types of ram, mobos, etc. to have a replacement on the spot.

I've just installed it as Virtual Machine thus far. Similar layout to vista in regards to control panel, start button, looks. Microsoft must think people are getting blinder or something, just the default layout seems bigger and more old people friendly, specially the taskbar. Overall its worth an upgrade from vista provided your system currently runs vista smoothly.
Installed office 2010 technical preview. Pretty much all the apps are the same as 2007 with new splash screens the pearl menu has changed. Outlook got the biggest change, it now follows suit with the other 2007/2010 apps and changed to the tabbed menu system. Overall not to bad at all.
