LAST LINE REPEATED STANZAS using 8 lines
Posted: 11/12/2009 11:18:18 PM
OOPS....sorry, was not quick enough and would have had to start over!lol
Just pass on right around me.... :) Also did not do eight lines...been a while!

My bitterness would be
a fell-off part of me
left in a growth spurt,
laid oft to the side
Distance made smallen
the left-behind sickness
where joy then filled me
and showed a surprise
My bread of then laughter
was coated in bitter
leaving not mentions
of what hid me inside
Till my fill of it eaten
left sour this creeton,
me and myself did collide
One part went with me
the other to bury
as new eyes opened wide
seeing others in journeys
with their candles in darkness
leaving bits as they walk
such as I

STD/Mutual Testing Questions
Posted: 11/12/2009 10:19:25 PM
Wow, little has changed since my last visit here.

Bottom line people, casual sex will never be safe. But try to find people who don't practice it, with those who don't practice it. (???)

The only hope of eradicating this epidemic (and it is) is to bring up our young people to actually 'date to get to know' a person with a long term intentions....why do you think VOWS are said at marriage ceremonies? Only works if the couple will take them seriously though. But then, hopefully it would fade out of our society.
You think?!

Yes, I am old fashioned I suppose. And I am also aware of how STD's became out of control when promiscuity became the fashion. Justifying "free love" (and it is not "love") has it's consequences...and leaves it's evidence.

Thankfully, my adult daughter has this figured out.

The Fireside - The feeling of Fall
Posted: 9/16/2009 2:17:30 PM
Fall is in the air

These are the days...
Autumn sows it's seeds
The last days of summer
struggle a burst of blaze...
The season incumbent
awaits to bloom and burst forth
in summer-sun flora and haze-light

The goodbye of Summer

Feeling Autumn,
with it's promise of pumpkins
and cider and snuggle sweaters
and denim...
Orange and brown brittle crunching
under the soles of boots...
The chilly breezes will suggest in a whisper:
Come closer to me....

Informing People That Someone Has Herpes
Posted: 7/24/2009 2:27:15 PM
As long as people keep sleeping around, they have a greater chance of contracting it anyway, whether you blow the whistle or not.
... and those who aren't promiscuous, it only takes one time with someone who might not even know they have it.

Sex was never meant to be entertainment for all who would want it....but that's a whole different subject.

Scorpio and Taurus
Posted: 7/24/2009 2:13:01 PM
I don't "follow all the Zodiac stuff, but I have noticed a commonality in some signs that is uncanny. What that means, I don't know, but I steer away from Leo's. Too many have proven not to work out in friendship or love. Many start up great, then fizzle pretty quickly with out fights or disagreement or discussion, just ends.

Some were just plain weird!

Last one; we planned to meet over a three week period...(he lived in a state I going to visit).
He picked me up in his truck that was FULL of his dog's hair! Said he was sorry and "didn't have time to clean his truck". ( ! ) Three weeks?
(I should not have worn black pants)

Never again buddy. :)-

I don't really go in for all that zodiac stuff, but I'm a Taurus and my last boyfriend was a Scorpio...we got along so great but I wanted to build to something lasting, he wanted to be free to chase adventure with no responsibilities left behind.
Although I would have wanted him to be the person he was, and be more than fine with that, (I like my time to myself too) he just could not see himself settling into a serious commitment. *sigh ...it was a respectful ending.

But man! What a man!

Is it shallow
Posted: 7/21/2009 9:47:06 PM
You can't gauge a person as a stable minded and secure according to looks. So why do that?

It may take a good while till you find your fit, personality wise...so don't cover the 'looks' gambit believing you have given all "categories" a chance.

Throw that idea out the window.

It's like trying on the same bad red sweater in small, medium and large and expecting it to look better....but what you really don't dig is the style man!
Try a different sweater!

Wonderful reading!
Peeking in .....and leaving a thought (really should be in bed!) :)

If all the balloons in all the world
were filled with peoples air,
and all let loose at one time,
into the atmosphere,
it would simply take our breath away
...and all who came before;
a multi colored mingling sight
in exhaled peace, would soar

Rising up

Trampled down in the ground-stained glass
that stands them millimeters above the earth
is the dust that still hovers in the alive places
where lost scared souls shuffle heavy feet
as their heads look up, not to the heavens
but to the changed skyline of bewilderment
Loss of controlled choices and veiled safety,
clean-slate their faces, opening eyes wider now;
taking in a lifetime in a moment of not understanding
Then the sober rise up and say,
"Remember the blessings, remember the beatings"
Through opposing forces, cores are stunned
but there is a clinched fist in the core of the meek
It faces what looms over and blackens
and with a collected breath of all who call, Enough!
they fill their boughs with wind of change
and blow the choking dust away, in blood and song
.....I must stop watching the news
but they would say, please... watch

...and on that, I say good night lol....will spend the weekend on a sunny beach. Thank God I can~

just for fun....

The 4TH in the South

Smoke will carry the aroma
started early dawn
The grill is great,
what the pig cooks on
In couples and fives
the families come
most carrying dishes
filled up from home
All dressed for swimming,
under street wear with shoes
- the once quiet home
vibes with the latest news
My job is to bake cookies and cake
it is requested that those, I make
All come together;
like every year to play
It's how our family celebrates
Independence day!

Hope everyone, (those that do) has a safe and fun Holiday!

Think of me...

Life sprinkles and rains
In downpours, pools
Jump right in
and soak it all up
and afterward,
sit back and see life
with it's infinite number
of rainbows
That is what's left
after all the splashing...
the iridescent remnants
It just takes right moments,
at just the right angle
In life,
the colors are always there

Awe,
neighbor kitty
belly full of life,
I think...
often stays half hidden
in the bushes
with a mane of leaves
around her head
Curious kitty
with no intentions...
just rests and watches
Funny,
have not seen her today
perhaps she's too busy to lurk
perhaps she feeds her babes
Awe kitty!

Sorry, but that's the way it goes. I never check to see who's new to try to get the first crack at them....only fakes and desperate's do that.

what are females really looking for on here.
Posted: 6/24/2009 9:11:54 PM
This has to be the most asked question.... (thread search)

But even if you did a thread search, you still will not get a 'list' to answer your Q.

Us "Females" (geeze that always sounds so clinical!)....Women...are individuals! Yes! We really are!

We all want individual things....just like you 'Males'....or guys.

If you're frustrated, just remember that this is not fast food or a catalog.
You just have to be patient....oft times longer than you'd like.

Man, I'm a stinker when I'm tired! I apologize ahead of time.

Away from it all ~

White, sheer veils billowed
The wind spoke to them...
They lulled us onto peace
...almost a slumber
Somewhere between awareness
and dreams,
We lay with just a draped sheet
feeling the kiss of breezes;
just lying in a room of open air
Nowhere to be
No promises to keep
A song rises up off the cliffs
where the wave crashes go...
So fully content just to be
in the moment

Two days painting
my walls
With this thought
tucked into my wittle head,
I say nighty night ya'll!

btw...great writes!
Very good one, Manly!

What does it mean when he says...
Posted: 6/22/2009 8:31:32 PM
I bet he had a friend pose some questions about yours and his relationship and got him thinking of things that weren't quite clear yet.

That's a biggy about kids. At your ages, most are done or have been in a relationship where it has been discussed and decided already...and either having more or stopping.

In a new relationship, these things have to be discussed at some time...I recon he wanted to find out now on the kid situation. It could be he never considered having them at this time in his life but since you do, he has some soul searching to do.

I hope it all works out for you...he really owes it to you to sit down and have a longer discussion about this than just dropping the question then offering only silence.

Good luck~

WeAre1...What you wrote is so recognized...makes me that much more grateful for the good loving Dad's out there!

Out of the ashes

It started out bad
as wrong as could be
the relationship
between my Dad and me ~
I got through the best I could
then left to be, who I would

And the years marched on...

Many times I'd hoped for
a beginning made new
many times tried...
and I think he did too
Then one day
I put myself in his shoes
To understand the man
in a life from which he grew
His sternly ways were rarely right
but the reason he 'was'
was brought to new light
Still, many times forward
took us five steps back
and efforts were halted;
once again our words lacked

And the years marched on...

God intervenes in
mysterious ways
5 years had past
without words to say
When out of nowhere
came the sudden passing
of my 'big' little brother
He had just married
and died four days later
"You must call your Dad"
was implored by my Mother
So, I resolved to make the call
and the second I told him,
past problems dissolved
I told my Dad,
the past was all through
and life was too short
and I loved him true!

And then we marched together

My Father and I
had broken fresh ground
Now, we don't always get
a second time around
but if we're so blessed,
a fresh start can be sound
We met each other
just where we were
and left behind
all the muck and mire
I love the Man he is today
and he very much loves me
....It was never too late

Happy Fathers Day to my Dad

Hawaii - Big Island - What NOT to miss?
Posted: 6/20/2009 8:57:46 AM
I've been twice but did not spend time on the big island...I stayed on Maui and Lanai.

Para sailing is fun, get in a luau, eat lot's of the wonderful fruit, snorkeling, and spend your evenings on the beach where the bar huts are...usually there are fires built on the beach, music and a great sunsets every night!
You may get a passing rain that disappears like it never happened...you will see lot's of rainbows.

This is a good sight:

Enjoy your trip...you won't be ready to come back!
