Love,Quality of life and who pays

Well... I supported a man. Ended up losing everything to his bad investments.
He managed to talk me out of my all my savings. Supported him, supported his "business" venture. Lost everything, including my good name.
He took off...probably to find the next victim...
NEVER AGAIN will I spend one minute of time with any man who looks for ANY money from a woman.
Consider this little modification and you know why men are bitter.
Well... I married a woman. Ended up losing everything to this bad investments.
She managed to force me out of my all my savings. Supported her, supported her living standard. Lost everything, including my good name.
She took off...probably to find the next victim...
Guess which scenario is more common???

Do you think because you cut and pasted that it now makes yours a fact? Cuz it doesn't. Your opinion is no more fact than that poster's! S/he said women "are providing for themselves"; you said "This is rarely the case". Do you have proof to back up that statement, since you are calling him/her out for his/hers? PROVE it's a fallacy with some objective figures.
On the same token, your rebutal to my claim implies that you have more experience in dating women than me. As such, I will asset that I am more qualified to speak from a factual point of view to this issue that your ability to condem the same. That is of course assuming that you are not dating women.

are women playing GOD when they become pregnant
Posted:

Sigh....if you don't want this to happen to you, please use protection.
Maybe you missunderstood. The statement did not refer to women who are pregnant and it is most certainly not releted to the use or lack of protection. The statement refers to women who have not achieved pregnancy yet use this litte threat as a mean to punish or catch a man's attentionn (usually occurs at the end of the relationship). The mere existence of such threats or false claim, and I am sure I am not the only man who has heard this song and dance, is a direct reflection of how women understand the power that can be wielded in the name of pregnancy.

For the women on here:
Please help me understand why some slective darlings choose to use the "im pregnant" threat once the relationship has ended or about to end. Maybe im just a feeble mind, but one cant help to feel that some women view the pregancy or even the mere prospect of a pregancy as a lever to excersise power. Any thoughts.

Most of the women who want a man who is financially stable are usually financially stable themselves, or are living a decent life and providing for themselves. They just want someone who is on their level. Is that so much to ask for? No one wants to carry someone else. The same with men who want a woman who is on their level. I don't see what the problem is here.
Interesting fallacy. Lets take a closer look at this statement since it highlights the fundamental problem of rethoric and reality.
Most of the women who want a man who is financially stable are usually financially stable themselves, or are living a decent life and providing for themselves.
This is rarely the case. However, most women are more than capable of providing for themselves, but not in the social strata they desire.
They just want someone who is on their level.
Yes, their level or above (preferrable the latter).
Is that so much to ask for?
Depends on what you bring to the table.
The same with men who want a woman who is on their level. I don't see what the problem is here.
The problem is simple; women makes on average $.72 for every $1 a man makes. To balance the equation, men more often than not marry or engage in a relationship with women with lesser income as the option to demand or expect a partner of equal is simply not there.

The reward for chivalry is internal. It is honor
If it is such an internal bliss, why do women not extend chivalry to men?

When Universal Health Care Arrives in the USA, Will Women...?

When universal health care arrives, you'll be paying for Octomom to have 14 more kids.
This is such an ignorant response to an ignorant question. If people would only set a side a little time to learn about issues instead of following lobbyist influenced messages like sheep we would have a better conversation regarding UHC.

OP. You did not angle the question correctly!! You should have taken a page out of the woman's rational book and communicated your dilema as follows:
"I feel that my GF is not sensitive to my feelings and that the chemistry is fading because of her selfish actions. I have tried to give her hints but she is trivializing the sincere strain her selfish actions have on our relationship and my devoted love. She is not considerate of the emotional and chemisty connection that I deserve......"
See...by spinning your rational as excemplified above you can position yourself as the victim, hence making people sympathetic for your cause as the neglected and violated man you truly are lol!!!

I think Girls have it a lot easier than Guys when it comes to Love, Dating, Relationships, etc.

Why can't be the creatures in the wild? They have it right and we have it backwards.
1.The males are made colourful to attract the hideously plane jane females
2.They fight for the right to mate then await her approval
3. She let's him hit it and has some babies
4. They live happily ever after until someone gets killed/dies
With the exception of the emperor penguins, #4 is untrue. So let me edit #4 to something more applicable to your wildlife analogy.
4. Alpha male continue his conquest with the objective to mate with as many fertile females as possible to assure the survival of his genes.
5. Once female becomes too old to produce offspring, Alpha male moves on to a younger and more viable candidate.
I agree that primarily women dictate who they choose to date. However, men often choose whether or not they want to stay once their conquest is completed.

The reason why is because it's easier for a girl to get a boyfriend than it is for a guy to get a girlfriend.
This is very true in OPs age group. The pendlum of that equation swings over to the other side around age 40 though. So OP, give it 20 years and you will be in the driver seat, especially if you make sure to make something of yourself.

Is this enough to ditch her?
Posted:

I get urges for cheating on her, and its getting uncontrollable now, especially when she's not giving me any. (No she's not getting some herself...).
Sure she is. She is most definately getting some on the side but she is good enough to cover her tracks and make you believe that she isnt.
Her point is that, she wants to get married and then get down to this.
So she is exercising blackmail as well.
OP. Trust me, you do not want to travel down this road (or isle).

Why does the guy always or most of the time have to make the first move?
Because often women are the ones who choose who they want to date. Then it is often the man who choose whether he wants to stay in the relationship.

Im curious, i am constantly being messaged by guys fifteen years or more younger than myself and have noticed that guys in my age range tend to go for much younger women........can anyone enlighten me???
Sure. I assume you can handle the truth so here is the no nonsense answers in a nutshell.
Younger men chase older women as they are perceived as easy, non committal lays.
Older men chase younger women because they are better looking.

I'm gettirng tired of all the self-help "looking for love" articles that pop up on these sites advising women on how to understand a man and keep a man.
That is because women is gullable enought to trigger impulse buying.
Where are these converstations happening for and between men?!!
They are not as men will not fall for the emotional sales pitch.

Why do men have affairs?
Posted:
8/8/2009 6:11:12 AM
If you're a male, like most other males, you would probably never suspect that your partner is cheating, not only because of your wife’s or girlfriend’s seeming disinterest in sex; but also because you have the belief that your wife or girlfriend is a “good girl.” Unfortunately, males are frequently left/divorced by their wives and girlfriends without ever knowing about their wives' and girlfriends' infidelities.
This paragraph is so good and true that it deserves to be mentioned again!!

Men cheat as well but it's usually not because they always think the grass is greener. I don't think there's as much life changing thought put into it. They're acting stupid as well but don't have the entitlement mentality that women have
Men cheat because the other woman is NOT you. She can be less attractive, have less going for her and be worse in bed and men will still cheat! Why? Because she is NOT you.

NO!
They know how to get money, they lack self respect, they understand how to manipulate people, and they can be completely deceptive. Also, they will not quit their job because they "love" you.
This is accurate. Then watch how they become born again Christians once their looks and sexuality fade.

How important is chivalry in an relationship to you?
Posted:

Seeing such Pavlovian responses to such banal gestures, and the immediate "approval" rating in the eyes of so many women, I have to admit that only a fool would overlook this most effective way of being perceived as gallant and charming.
This advice about being chivalrous has been most compelling. I'm always wanting to know just what to do, in order to be more seductive. Thanks for the tips, ladies.
Correct. The savy womanizer and/or abuser has already perfected the art of deceptive chivlary to reach their end goal. If it sounds to good to be true, its not.

chivalrous behavior: considerate and courteous behavior, especially shown by a man toward women
The problem with statements like the one above is that it underscores the underlying absence of reciprocity all while highlighting a thinly veiled entitlement expectation.

This is what happend I was on craigslist I was looking under strictly platonic section.
Redflag one!
About a month or two ago We met for lunc I even called and told my husband that i was going to lunch with my friend
Redflag two! And I am sure you told your husband that is was a male you met on Craigslist.
Okay people I am so not interested in this guy except for as friends
Sure, and the Iranian election was legit.
He says the guy being a guy is after more then just friendship.
And your husband is correct!
Now yesterday i went to lunch with my friend again
Is there a reason you do this even though you know that it upsets your husband for obvious reasons. How would you feel if the roles were reversed?? Im sure you would be singing a different tune!

What women really want from a guy
Posted:
6/12/2009 11:16:46 PM
I am a great catch! I am looking for a mate not a date. My guess is you would not have the qualities I am looking for and offer a man because your response was not respectful or kind.
Don't take it personally. I was just using your listing of qualities to group them and make it easier for men to understand the weights of the 3 primary categories. You see, most MEN are under the illusion that their personality, kindness, good listening skills, chivalry etc are the ways to peek a woman's sincere interest. These are the traits all women say they want, but really don't care about all that much. You see, I am an avid believer in forming opionion on what people DO, not what they SAY. And frankly, the traits that attract a woman to a man are:
1. Money and Power: 50%
2. Looks: 40%
3. Personality: 10%.
But don't be upset, men are more shallow than that. All that matters to men is a woman's looks.

Simple.
respect
kindness
fun
financial responsibility and stability with some assets eg. home or condo of their own and some cash in the bank-No debt
compatibility
reasonably fit and healthy
knows how to dress appropriately when dating
good hygiene
not looking for a barbie doll or a twenty-something person
well educated
Lets break this down so the males on this site understand the value proposition and how these characteristics really rank:
50%: Money and Power.
-financial responsibility and stability with some assets eg. home or condo of their own and some cash in the bank-No debt
-well educated
40%: Looks.
-reasonably fit and healthy
-good hygiene
10%: Things women say they look for but can't give a rats a$$ about.
-compatibility
-knows how to dress appropriately when dating

If spousal support were abolished, and custody was always granted to the parent that can provide the best environment for the children, without preferrential treatment being given to either gender, maybe marriage would have a fighting chance.
Actually, that would just increase the amount of men filing the papers. What you quoted here are the primary reasons men don't file for divorce (money & custody).

Female Serial Cheaters - Strong Personality?
Posted:
6/4/2009 11:16:20 PM
1. Would you say these women typically fall under the strong personality category? Domineering, confident, decisive, strong-willed women. (They might have underlying low self-esteem issues, but I'm curious more about how they come across.)
Usually the opposite. The quite and reserved ones are the ones with skelettons in their closets.
2. What is their family background? Is there a missing parent? If so, which one?
Usually raised by a single mom who has been married and divorced a few times.
3. Are there other patterns or stereotypes to considering when thinking about FEMALE serial cheaters?
Sexually abused women tend to be more liberal with sex as they equate sex to love or compassion.

Most women dont want a rich man, a super intelligent man, a fancy car, or a "KEN " doll.
Good luck believing that. What women say and what they really want are two different things. Just look at all the "nice guys" threads. They would not exist if your thesis held water.

Can you keep her happy without spending money?

Out of curiosity ( and i work in real estate)- are you upside-down on your mortgage (vs. value)? Sometimes people think that there is no equity in their home and don't know the actual value. Do you know the actual value of your home? If not, email me and I can walk you thru free, tangible ways to do so. You can't sell it if it's not on the market. I have suggestions about that as well.
What a shameless sales pitch!!!! Listen up here Ms. "Now is a Good Time to Sell or Buy". You don't know the value of the home either. Pulling old comps don't tell you shait about the fundamental value of property. You should have learned that by now as all those folks you put in a home with the "now is a good time to buy" slogan are now getting wiped out! But then and again, that pitch is the difference between you eating lobster or ramen noodles.
If you haven't figured it out yet, there is a whole new wave of Repos about to hit the market. Not to mention that 2010 and 2011 is about to mark the largest resets of Alt-A and Option arms ever recorded. You add this to increased unemployment and inflationary pressure and you have your second tsunami hitting the real estate market. What? You think it is over?????
So if you feel the needs to council OP on how to improve his financials, tell him to long gold and equities and short the treasury.

The simple truth is that he did not want a baby and did not take very kindly to forced fatherhood. This is the reason he pushed you aside as soon as he found out you were pregnant. Birth control works if you actually use it. Human error is the reason it fails.
And that would be the simple truth!! OP, to him, your a dream killer!

I know exactly when I lower my standards. It takes me 5-6 drinks in 2 hours. Then, I start lowering my standards. :)

Why Must It Always Be the Man Who Make First Contact?

OP. I can't emphasis with your dilema or question. Women are plenty agressive these days and won't hesitate to make first contact. As a matter of fact, the more I lay back in bars, the more I get approached.

They aren't some highfalutin demands.
That line is often blurred, in particular when once self perception of worth is distorted.

Do You Men Read Our Whole Profiles?

Do you guys read our whole profiles or just the parts that you want to see. I get emails all of the time from guys that don't seem to have read through mine.
Nop. Guys start by looking at the photo. If it is good enough, then they move to phase two which is evaluating whether the photo is representative of your current looks. If it is, then they hit you up with an e-mail.
That would be the male profile review process.

All these little "rules" are hilarious! And I love the equality double standards that run rampant on this board.
Exactemundo! The rules of the game has changed, but most women has yet not gotten with the program.
